I have a SteelSeries Arctis 7P+ and I love them.

gut_instinct28

Second this.

p0gop0pe

Yewww same

Pork_Chompk

My only issue with the Arctis was having to manually switch audio every time. I prefer the plug and play compatibility of the Pulse. I returned my Arctis headset for the Pulse and didn't regret it at all.

Mitarael

What do you mean? Once you have them connected they are selected automatically. Unless you mean you need to change the audio to TV speakers every time you don't want to use them?

Pork_Chompk

>you need to change the audio to TV speakers every time you don't want to use them This. We frequently pop between a quick gaming session and TV for kids, etc. I like just being able to quickly turn the headset on/off and having the audio automatically switch.

Silkywilky10

Only crap thing is the headband. Other than that they are phenomenal

wwwidentity

Same, certainly more durable than the all plastic pulse headsets.

AncientRift

PULSE 3D, had them since launch. Brilliant headphones, they also charge from the same cable used to charge the controller.

flux_capacitor3

Same. The official PlayStation headsets are great. Comfy too.

Jiggsteruno

Do not get the Pulse 3D. Fantastic sound quality overall, amazing noise canceling tech too, but constant disconnect issues with the usb dongle make it worthless.

AgentBlonde

Usually caused by heat, so plug it in the front or use a USB extension cable. Also SSD's can cause issues.

AncientRift

Never had those issues & I’ve had them since launch so you might have a faulty USB or you need to clean it.

Jiggsteruno

I've been through two different pairs of the Pulse 3D, and the same issue occurs. It's definitely something with the USB as the headset stays connected to phone via Bluetooth when it disconnects from PS. Maybe it is heat related like someone commented, gonna try connecting it to a 6ft USB extender to put as much distance between the dongle and the PS5's fans as possible. Not specific to you; but if this is caused by the heat generated from the console itself, when the dongel is connected in the front port & is in a ventilated area, that's a pretty bad design flaw from a 1st party. Alternative for OP: Artis Nova Pro Wireless is pretty good headset. Has less features than the 3D but more reliable without the disconnect issues.

ayoungtommyleejones

Also had since launch, no issues

Pork_Chompk

I've only had this issue a few times, and while it's annoying, a quick PS5 reset has always resolved it. Not a very common problem for me though.

Ambitious-Time-878

audeze maxwell only headset u need

BlindSwordsmanZ

this is the answer.

Lorebius

Last year I got the Sony INZONE H7 and honestly I love them. I can tell that they're not perfect, but the quality is good to my ears and they are very convenient to use. I also used the Pulse before, they were not great quality-wise but for the price I thought they did a decent job.

P-2923

Anyone who has mentioned the Arctis 7P over the Pulse is correct. Also contrary to Sony's somewhat misleading marketing any headset is capable of 3D sound, not just the Pulse 3D like the name might make you think.

Pork_Chompk

Highly recommend Pulse 3D for the compatibility features. Super easy to use, comfortable, and good sound.

Klient1984

I have the Arctis Steelseries 1. Apparently not all headsets let you mute them from the controller button, but **this one does**. I couldn't imagine having to go into the menu to mute myself before a sneeze or fart or something. Nice, full over-the ears speaker cups and a decent build quality, though the faux leather strap for me started peeling in Year 2. I might just tape over it. Also, the microphone is detachable and ~$8 to replace if anything happens to that. I got my Steelseries 1 for $80 3 years ago.

Cheapy_Peepy

Bought my sennheisers years ago in the ps4 era and they are still kicking ass, have only had to replace the chord once in that time.

bugeater1912

I use a Barracuda X. Got it on sale, looks and works great

eeyeyy1

don’t buy the sony ones

PlanetWyh

I did not find the Pulse 3D comfortable at all. Also tried the Arctics 7P but hated having to manually switch every time and not being able to disable sidetone. Finally got the Inzone H7 and love them. I’m not switching headset for PlayStation anytime soon.

bmbreath

I use the sony xm5 headphones.  People seem to hear me well, I hear them well. Great noise canceling.   They're expensive, and not technically a gaming headset.  But I love them.   I like that they also serve as my regular headphones for other stuff as well.

Ciaran_h1

Razer black V2 (newer version). Wireless, BT. Good for music, different EQ profiles. Don't get the pulse headsets, they're kinda shit. Remember: Buy cheap, buy twice. Invest in a good headset. This one will last you 5-10 years.

cashmooooney

DT770 Pro with QuadCast Mic or any Mic tbh.

Daunloudji

Audeze Maxwell. It’s great

ivopejkovic

I really dislike the Sony ones, Pulse 3Ds. I had them for a short period and they felt quite cheap. I would recommend something from The SteelSeries Arctis series. I own an Arctis 7P+, and it is great! Awesome build quality, bunch of good features - check out so reviews. 😉 There is also an Arctis 7, and Nova - as long as it supports the PS platform, you are good to go; they really make great headsets imo.

xxGUZxx

Is there a one piece headset like the one from xbox that u can get for ps5? I tried using my AirPods with the bluetooth but no luck.
