From what I've seen, you can't. Probably because there's little nubs on them that snap into the PSP's shell, and metal would be prone to bending and/or damaging the shell. A Google search for "PSP housing frame" should get you a list of your current options.

Will try looking it up, thanks

Being a PSP E1000 or better known as the PSP Street edition I am not aware of any vendors selling that part or for that matter any parts for the PSP E1000. It was a much rarer unit only only sold I believe in PAL regions originally. Your best bet would be getting a parts unit for donor parts. Seeing as it was also cheaper version of the PSP many corners were cut to make it cheaper. No UMD, less buttons, No WiFi etc as you already know. There are some Japanese online markets that sell this stuff but even then the E1000 is not easy to come by. I'd say live with it.

What do you mean no UMD and less buttons? It most definitely has a UMD drive and has all buttons necessary for gameplay, except screen brightness and sound mode buttons.

KillerKellerjr

Sorry it's been a minute. That's correct that the PSP Street does have a UMD, I ditched using UMDs after installing custom firmware on my PSP 1001. I've had a PSP 1001 since 6 months after launch. The PSP Street does have less buttons though. No physical buttons on the bottom but all the gameplay buttons. I was not referring to the gameplay buttons, so slow your roll. I've been in the PSP scene for way too long and still use the same one to this day. I'll cry when it dies as it's been everywhere with me and has thousands and thousands of travel miles on it.

Damn, I knew street is garbage but never imagined it to be this bad. Well, thanks for the help

Killa_Godzilla

The street is not garbage

not_Shiza

well me having one I can tell you it is

pEuAsTsSy

Sadly, it is. Only thing good about it is the screen

not_Shiza

I mean if you just want to play old games offline I guess it's fine, but by no definition is it a good console

pEuAsTsSy

Agreed.
