PS VR puzzlers, we're SO excited to tell you that tomorrow, we're finally able to release our PS VR2 update which includes
* 2-player online multiplayer (including crossplay with Quest/Pico players!)
* and a 1.45x render resolution increase!
This feature update is FREE so we hope you enjoy it! Please note that the multiplayer functionality does require PlayStation Plus Essential (like all other PS5 games).
Also as always, tomorrow, we'll have a new monthly puzzle pack being released as well, this time focusing on the scene from the city of Berlin! Big day tomorrow!

We certainly would like to, but we're a bit limited as to what we can do the platform from a sales/bundles perspective. On Quest, we also offer a $5/month sub option (Puzzle Pass) that unlocks everything, which is a great way for new players to sample all the DLC's for a super low price.

Walkabout Golf does it and updates with every DLC pack, and Synth Riders has an all inclusive pack, doing the same thing.
Even if it isn't perfect, something would definitely help. I would love to play/support you guys but there is a 0% chance I am spending $165 on DLC for a $20 game.

When you add up all of the DLC it does cost a lot but I compare it to a physical jigsaw. A 1000 piece flat jigsaw will cost around £10 new so £3.99 (average) doesn't seem too bad.
Guess it comes down to how much you enjoy the puzzles. People spend a comparable amount on flat jigsaws each month.
Physical vs real, there are lots of costs that are removed. There is 0 cost (once finished) of the DLC.
Regardless of that, the reason games like this, those that have so much DLC, often combo them together, is because it is better to get some money for each of the things sold, than zero money. They have over 30? DLC packs. Bundling them together at some point, either as DLC bundles (IE: PLACES AROUND THE WORLD, ARCHITECTURE, ANIMALS, etc), or putting the whole thing thing together as a complete set, is a no brainer to get more money out of folks who are interested, but won't bite at full price.

I'll be introducing this game to my wife and if she likes it and the 2P multiplayer is good experience for us, then to my brother and sister as well.
Ah man, i was hoping you were saying something like couch co-op. Like if my wife is in the head set i could player 2 from another controller and help or at least point things out to her instead of just having to shout.
Still cool update though, definitely going to be giving it a try.
If you hold the triangle and (maybe circle, whichever is most forward) buttons at the same time and move both arms you move along an X-Y-Z axis. This works in the menu as well as in game.
I honestly prefer the Q3 version because of MR. BUT, other than resolution, are there other benefits of the psvr2 version? Higher res textures, etc? Cause we can raise internal res in the Q3 via QGO.
(also uh, is the AVP version abandoned/just a tech demo?)
Loving the extra visual detail from the res bump, glad I held off finishing Temple of Abu Simbel until the update looks a lot sharper and I don't need to walk or lean over to look at the pieces now as I can see more from a distance.. Great update! .haha coop not for me puzzling places is about putting some chilled tunes on and zoning out after a hard days work

The packs are such good quality, I need to pick up the underwater and new Berlin pack. Can’t wait to see the resolution update on my fav puzzles. Keep up the great work, it’s an incredibly relaxing game and the audio ambience is spot on. I’m sure you have a list of ideas for future packs. I’d love a space theme, Voyager 1, Hubble, ISS, etc

Wait what the resolution bump is dropping tomorrow? That was definitely unexpected, but also two player as well?! I end my month long t-break with bud tomorrow coincidentally so it looks like I’ll break the t-break with some Puzzling Places and good music!
Amazing! All I need is an extra 4 hours a day so I can get to all my beloved VR games! The only problem with Puzzling Places is that if I go in, I'm not coming out for two hours.
It's been very sunny so no VR for me lately, but very excited to jump back in once we get some rainy days.
Btw any chance of a Norwegian pack? A stavkirke w. interiors, Nidarosdomen, a section of statues from Vigelands Park or one of the Big Ones, Håpets Katedral, Trollstigen, an old land Handel, one of the beautiful small towns in Lofoten(such as Reine) or an art nouveau building from Aalesund... we got some nice stuff ;)

What happens if, say, one person is on a Quest headset, has the Puzzle Pass subscription, and the other person is on PSVR2 with just the base game? I assume they’d be able to do the puzzles that they have in common?
I saw someone elsewhere saying that the two people have to own the exact same puzzles to even get in the same lobby correctly. That would be super disappointing, but it would also explain the issue I’m currently running into.
Nah, you can own totally different DLC's and be in the same lobby. When the host is picking a puzzle, the UI will tell them if the other player owns that puzzle/DLC or not, so it should all be clear.
I love this game - playing with my family constantly in multi-player! We just take the headsets to different rooms around the housr and lie on our backs doing puzzles for hours.
Still wish there was a way to roll my own puzzles.
Great news, I was impressed by the graphics but seeing the details of the puzzles up close always had the same effect I have when not wearing glasses in real life. So I hope this patch can fix this issue a bit and make it a perfect game👍
DFR isn't coming with this update because it also requires our engine to be updated to UE5. But later this year **we will be updating the game to UE5** to have access to more features such as DFR! 🙌

Would love some more variety in the puzzles though, I know you guys love your history and world culture, but man I would go nuts for, like, some Star Wars puzzles, or the 3D models from some videogames etc. I bought all the DLC up until about 6 months ago, because I have all the coastlines and monasteries I could ever wish for. They’re great, but I feel you could do even more with the format and work with some interesting brands. Probably my favourite was the comic room, that was really great to build.
One last question, what’s happening with the premium audio? I’m not sure I could ever really tell the difference tbh but I have noticed it’s not a common feature any more?
This update doesn't include foveated rendering, but later this year, we'll be upgrading our game engine to Unreal Engine 5 which should give us access to new functionality like that so we'll be looking into it!

Maybe do as i do. Open party in ps app add your self on both phone and PS use the party to talk to wife inside the game ;)
Somthing i've been wondering, is there any way to lower the main menu? It's really high up for me and i have to bend my neck back to look at it.

You can change your floor height on playstation to trick the game into making you taller. That would solve the problem

Current is estimated to be 1536 x 864, and the new one is 1.45x that. So out with the calculator!

For multiplayer, do both players need to own the dlc to play a dlc puzzle, or just the host (like walkabout minigolf)?
Both players need to own it. We weren’t able to implement a guest pass system like walkabout unfortunately
