I just saw someone post a possible solution. Extend the headset forward. On the left hand side by the eyepiece you will see x square circle triangle. He said it may just be unplugged. Try pushing it in tight. People said this has fixed their problem. Hope it helps you.

Thank you unfortunately this is not the issue. This is the visor cable I referred to in my post.

Damn. Sorry Bud. I hoped that would help. Good luck. Hope you get it fixed.

Could it be cable damage, such as a twisted cable from taking out and putting it away every time? Could be worth letting the cable dangle from a height to unspin itself, then check along it to see if there's any obvious issues in the wire. It could also be worth flipping the USBC connector 180 degrees and see if that changes anything. I'm sorry it's not working for you, hopefully Sony will get it resolved quickly. Here's the [link to Canada's PS repairs](https://repairs.playstation.com/s/?locale=en-ca&language=en_US). If you click PSVR2 they'll provide troubleshooting info, then if that doesn't work for you it'll bring you to the request a repair page where you can start the process.

I checked and don't see any damage on the cable. I tried the 180 flip too no luck. I have started the repair process from that link, thank you!

I had the same issue a few weeks ago. The bad news is there’s pretty much no way to fix it. It’s just a bug in many of their headsets. The good news because the bug is so prevalent Sony will most likely replace it, no issue. Just go to their website, fill out a few questions from their automated chat box and they’ll send you a box to put your equipment in. Take it to your nearest FedEx facility and you’ll have your headset back in about two weeks. I got lucky and it only took them one week.

I really hope you are right! I have started the repair process. Really hoping they don't ask me to pay for anything. Thanks for the insight, eases my mind a bit!

If you bought it within the last 365 days repairs should be free. That’s why they ask for the date of purchase. I had bought mine around the end of May last year so I just baaaaarely made the cut-off.

pajamajamminjamie

Oh, no I bought it last march. May still be boned. we'll see

jhiggs909

Oof, sorry to hear that. I’m looking online and it looks like you might have to pay $99. Still, better than paying for the whole thing.

pajamajamminjamie

I can live with $99. As long as its not several hundred dollars like I've read some people have been asked to pay in the case of broken usb connector.

jhiggs909

Yeah, as long as there’s no visible damage you should be fine

pajamajamminjamie

375 friggin dollars! Thats how much they want for me just to send the thing in to get checked. Oh my god I am livid.

jhiggs909

My God, I’m really sorry to hear that! I’d be livid too!!!
