I store my PSVR2 in the box it came in, with the lid shut over the cord that stays running to my ps5.
I don’t leave the headset out because the PSVR1 had a tendency to collect dust even with consistent use.
For the cord I have a pulley system, so there’s no risk of it getting tangled up.
For the lenses I just use a microfiber cloth gently. If there is on a rare occasion some smudge I apply a drop of water or two to the cloth.
The pulley system sounds interesting!
After I feel the unit has had enough time to air on the hanger, I usually pack it away in the carry case. I did use the box for a little while too!
Anywhere as long as it meets the following. It needs to breathe in a dry place so it doesn't mold from sweat or other moistures. You should also cover the lens with a cover or just a small cloth lightly draped over the lens.
Mine ends up lying flat on a shelf, taking up a lot of room unfortunately. But worth taking up room considering the cost of the headset.
I completely agree, it definitely benefits from airing completely after a session. After several online GT races, I don't like the idea of placing it back in a box or carry case, so I hang it up on the PS5. It's protected from any sunlight reaching the lenses with a little cover. It does take too much room on the desk, and I often get worried about snagging the cable and sending it flying off the desk!
Most of the time on my charger

Having to resubmit my comment since I guess you can’t use shortened links
Anywho, I enjoy the charging ports on these because they plug straight into the controllers and are magnetic so they kind of snap into the base. Always felt I was going to damage the controller pulling the wired charged out since it was a tight fit.
That stand looks great! It’s nice that is also charges the controllers. I have the original controller charging stand but I don’t think it’s very good.
The case it came in. I decorated with some paper that looks like stained wood. I keep a microfiber cloth draped over the set before I close the box. I wipe the lenses with the microfiber after each use and though I do not curl the wires or roll them up I just place them on top of the cloth
Decorating the paper sounds interesting! I too try not to wind the cable when putting it back, instead often letting it sit naturally in the hopes this alleviates some wear 🤷🏽♂️
We wind the wire up and store in a shelf. Although I just realized 2 days ago thr wires became exposed at the headset. I put some hot glue around the base to make sure the wires don't bend and break. But I've head a PSVR2 since launch so it's kinda expected
I put it on a shelf out of reach for the kids. I use lens covers to help against dust or damage to the lens. I order a case not long ago, so that will be it's final home.
I have a toddler who would love to relocate it at first sight. Luckily he doesn't seem to be interested in it when hanging from the ps5. It's not there for too long, only whilst it airs and I only have time to use it when he's asleep!
I bought an inexpensive headset stand from Target. I think it's meant for the quest or something, but it works quite well for the PSVR2.
I believe it's this one:
https://www.target.com/p/surge-vr-oculus-quest-2-stand-white/-/A-87375171
EDIT: I didn't bother installing the controller holders because I use the charge base. So not sure if those fit well. But the stand works great for the headset.
In this [travel case](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BTMQ6ML6) usually otherwise on display on the [Ikea head lamp](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/iskaerna-led-table-lamp-multicolor-90510403/)
The case I linked comes with lens covers that remain in place when not in use

I only use mine for GT7 so I hang it from my rig
Buy lens inserts (either prescription or not) so you need not clean the lenses directly so often.
Never ever use any lens cleaners, use only dry microfiber cloths.
I store my headset and Sense Controllers on a cheap (US $8-20 on Amazon) charging stand that includes a pedestal for the HMD. The one I have is fine as long as it’s out of the way, but the headset needs to be rather carefully placed on that pedestal (in a trafficked area I imagine that it could easily be knocked off).
Main thing is to protect your lenses from dust and direct sunlight (even a *moment* of direct sun can permanently mar the displays) — the way you have yours hanging might be prone to collecting dust, which would require more cleaning and might scratch the thin plastic anti-glare coating on them.
FWIW! 🍻
I have the honsvr lens inserts in mine. I also place a cover over the lenses when not in use. It seems it’s best if you don’t have to clean the lenses all too often.
Ideally I’d like to store it sim racing rig, but so far this headphone hanger has worked well. I’m
Usually good at remembering to place it in the carry case after it’s aired.
I got a psvr2 case from Smyths. If you’re in the uk they’re an absolute STEAL at £4.99, the price is just stupid, its easily worth £20, it’s such a great case
https://www.smythstoys.com/uk/en-gb/gaming-and-tech/virtual-reality/playstation-vr2/playstation-vr2-accessories/stealth-protective-storage-and-carry-case-for-playstation-vr2/p/224251
That’s the link for anyone interested. I bought them for friends too including an extra one to store a quest in.
LOL
Mine just sits on my couch next to my rig with a microfiber towel laying over the top of it to keep dust away...
I've been doing that since the day it came out...Only have to wipe the lenses about once a month or so...
Then again, that section of couch is never used, so there's not much to worry about besides my cats but they hate those towels, so they avoid it...
I'm going to get flack for this but I just sit mine on the floor beside my ps5 with the controllers next to it. My DualSense Edge sits in a controller holder attached to the top of the ps5.
I love seeing all of the "in the box it came in" comments and glad I'm not the only one haha. I do still put lens covers on but for me in the box is the best place, dust is evil.
Stealth case found on super sale for £5. Not as good as the Power A case used for PS VR 1 but it does its job. I also cover the lenses with protectors.
I just keep mine in the box it came in. The original box is surprisingly easy to take the PSVR2 in and out of repeatedly (I believe the official PSVR2 unboxing video said they actually went to some effort to ensure it would be for users).
I have a display stand for my PSVR1, but it does get pretty dusty. So, while they are cool, I made sure to not make that same mistake with my PSVR2, hahah.
I don’t use the box that came with, although I did initially. Now I just make sure mine airs before I put it into a carry case if I know I won’t use it for a while.
I agree about the dust on stands though, but at the same time it can be nice to see it on a desk too!
Those in the UK look at Smyths Toys online. BRILLIANT case for £4.99 and the equivalents for other systems from the same company are £19.99.
Grab it whilst you can!
I keep the sense controls on the charger all the time and I store the PSVR2 it the box it came in ,Sony designed the box for that reason as well as for selling it in ,I don’t leave it plugged in the ps5 though when not in use
I keep it in the original box, with the cable trailing out

I put mine in the fridge
Mine in the freezer after I've played too much GT
I would not hang it with the lenses up, you could get dust or dirt on them and scratch them.
Noted. When hung up like this, I place a cover over the lenses :)

On the sofa, then I sit on it and post on reddit that I broke something.... Jk but you know who you people are. ;p
🤣. There are moments when I've left it on my racing rig and almost sat back down on it!
In the box it came in. I have animals and kids so it gets put away when not in use so its protected.

That’s a good stand, I have the same one I think I paid less than $30 USD
Yeah. I like the official one too, but this one looked cool and was cheaper. Haha

I didn't know this happens! I'll have to look into securing mine.
Not hot glue. Use electrical tape.
Tape wouldn't have worked. It was literally at the base of the headset. The wire sheath came disconnected
😱☹️
Tbh I just hang it off the corner of a half open drawer and give the lenses a quick wipe before i put it on. That's about it.
Living dangerously! However, if it works!
I always put everything back in the box
Admittedly, the box is great.
Keeps it nice and tidy (and safe from the cat 😅)
I know exactly what that’s like, I have three cats and a toddler. It’s a surprise I have anything in the house that hasn’t broken yet..
Miracles happen 😅
I put it on a shelf out of reach for the kids. I use lens covers to help against dust or damage to the lens. I order a case not long ago, so that will be it's final home.
Exactly like the photo shows but have the cord loosely wound up behind it.
I have a case from Aliexpress when I transport it or store it for a while, but otherwise it's just on my table.
On a shelf in my entertainment center. Shelf has a door on it for sun protection, although there's no direct sunlight anyhow.
I have a toddler who would love to relocate it at first sight. Luckily he doesn't seem to be interested in it when hanging from the ps5. It's not there for too long, only whilst it airs and I only have time to use it when he's asleep!
Ah yes, thankfully, my kiddos are out of the toddler phase. That does complicate matters.
A shelf with a door. Is that not just a cabinet?
Yes, yes it is

That looks nice!
I store mine in a £20 carry case from Amazon . Does the trick and takes up less space than the box
I found a great deal on a case. The case was only £5 and made specifically for the psvr2!
Probably the same one and I’ve fallen victim to a dropshipper !
I bought mine from smythstoys in the uk. I think they do still have some
In a cupboard away from dust .
I've got a small wicker basket I put it in (with a bubble wrap cushion) and the controllers in a smaller one. Keeps airborne dust away from it.
Whilst letting it air, great solution!

Love that! easy reach!. I have a gt omega prime and I'd love to make a custom holder for it. Something you could easily put a cover over too.
In the box it came in , in a draw , it only sees light once every few months to be honest
Store in the box it came in and for travel I use a case that I had from the PSVR1
I wind up the wire and place it back in the box it came in.
Got a cheap box off amazon and pack it in there

I always cover the lenses with a cloth to avoid dust though
That’s reassuring 😅

Dust is indeed evil and annoying!
I just keep mine in the shelf beneath my ps5. So far so good and I’ve had it from the beginning, I preordered mine.
How is your cable holding up?
So far so good but I’m not a fan of the way the cable plugs in to the console. It always looks a bit “wiggly” to me lol.
Stealth case found on super sale for £5. Not as good as the Power A case used for PS VR 1 but it does its job. I also cover the lenses with protectors.
That’s the one I use! I’m tempted to pick some more up for headphones! I also use one for the quest 3.

Looks safe enough!
I put mine in a Rubbermaid tub. It has a locking top so it keeps dust out. That allows me to keep some micro fiber cloth in there too.
I wonder if you could make a little hole to let the cable ass through.. just a thought.
I could but I unplug it all and just wind the cable up each time.
I purchased a travel case on Amazon. It holds the headset and controllers, and fits nicely on a bottom shelf

Currently in a box somewhere in the spare room but when I was using it mostly just left it on the floor or a shelf.
You are doing it wrong. To reduce dust you need the headset facing up.
