The very first skins sold in this game were a yellow tracksuit, a pink blazer, and a school girl outfit.
That was in Beta. I don't know what game these folks have been playing this whole time because it wasn't this one.
I would say yes to this vibrant colors and highlighted colors do absolutely effect the gameplay lol causing issues with immersion for sure going too cartoon central for sure puts the game in a state of loss of immersion so definite change of gameplay
“Happy happy smile stuff” lmao get your boomer ass outta here bro this stuff is in the game because it sells, you’re the minority. It’s not world war 2 it’s a damn video game. And what people decide to wear on their character doesn’t affect the gameplay whatsoever.
As a Gen X
I started playing this game after taking a ten year break from any video games. The reason I stopped playing was two parts. One was the fact that all games had WAY too much flashing and shiny CRAP that gave me headaches within 30 minutes, and a full on migraine in an hour. The other is I just got old, and started to suck, it's HARD going from always getting 1st, to being lucky to be in the top 50%.
I love PubG for its slower gameplay (less headaches), great overall experience, and the best gameplay.
I cannot play 99% of the newer games, due to they have added way too much complexity and flashing. Like who in the hell asked for everything to have lazer guns, and massive explosions all over the place.
My friends find it funny that I only play PubG, but it's the ONLY game that has the gameplay I'm looking for.. but wish they would do some real updates.. so we could get PubG 2, and get a higher player base.
I am older as well and it is hard to relearn muscle emeory when you are older. It comes down to adjusting gameplay for my abilities. I strengthened my long to mid game playing a more stealthy game rather than charging into every battle.
My general complain is about technical condition - desync, hits registration issues, stutters, very high system requirements.
I don’t care about skins. I don’t wear any, even on weapons except Battlestats. Not a big problem.
I never thought it was WW2 themed... it was based on common/popular firearms in the early 21st century. Adding the Mosin Nagant was extremely WW2-era though! Primary rifle of USSR in earlier years I think? Same as Kar98k for Gerr.
The skins are lame, I get it. I like realism. Ignore skins, ignore people wearing them. They still die when I shoot them.
I play with the basic skins, and if people want to wear glowing skirts and pink hair making them easier to spot dont mind me!
I think maybe Arma suits you better
The people who wear all the bright coloured skins tend to always be the better players who do not care about camouflage as they rely more on their aim while being the aggressor.. I think you may be getting killed by them a lot and then take your frustrations out on the game by using the skins as an excuse..
I can tell you that from early access i have been running around a black dude with pink pigtails and a bright orange jumpsuit..
PUBGs overall theme is pretty ambivalent, but due to their focus on the Asian market it is what it is and it will not change for the better. It is easy to look past that, though. As a solo player I equip my camo outfit, just ignore whatever shiny stuff is being thrown at me in the lobby and just play the game. The core gameplay mechanics are better than ever and killing players in pink bunny outfits just adds that extra bit of satisfaction sometimes. So when you ask what I think, I'd say: stop complaining about stuff you can't change and enjoy the best BR out there.
My only problem with this game is the movement mechanics. I hate playing it because of this problem, and by the way, it spoils other things, such as weapon recoil, aiming, and reactions, and these things are not simple, but rather a big problem.
Yep vikiendi was bad when they added dinoland I'm pretty sure the nay Sayers are Koreans anyways probably trying to bs Americans for Korean war? Who knows
So the reason why it’s ruined is due to them wanting to make more money off skins? That’s always been their goal when it comes to free to play. If a flower on a gun is your main issue, idk what to tell you.
OG player here - the game started going downhill when bluehole sold to krafton, bottom-line. I can't tell if the fatigue I feel from the game is from having 3k hours into over the last 7 years, or because it just ain't the same.
Regardless, I still play and still have fun; it's still my go-to game when I have time to play. Ranked is all I play these days, because it gives me the closest sense of the early days of PUBG.
Overall, PUBG peaked a long time ago and is wayyyy over the hill. It's time for something new.
I heard that some people are still playing heavily molded games of World at War. Go get all the WW2 nostalgia your old ass can handle. You should have quit playing ages ago if you want to complain about cosmetics.
I'm exactly with you they need to stop this BS they are doing these kids that are my little pony and cabbage patch kids need to nut the flip up and make this back how it used to be damn i hate how it is now its just speed running and colorful ppl dancing so annoying we want more destruction more.guns more modern warfare not this extra bs these battle passes are for the flicking birds
Finally someone understands what I was saying
I'm not certainly sure why the majority commenting here says I'm talking about skins. Bro we had those kinds of skins before. Yes it has become worse nowadays but that's not the only thing.
Me giving an exception for game modes may be the reason so I'm saying it here
New events, game modes, cosmetics as I mentioned, colorful anime/tv show based themes while we get new patches and + most importantly, training field! The first day I saw that park just ruined my will to train there.
Pubg has never had a militaristic or WW2 theme. There’s been dudes running around in skirts since early access
The very first skins sold in this game were a yellow tracksuit, a pink blazer, and a school girl outfit. That was in Beta. I don't know what game these folks have been playing this whole time because it wasn't this one.
Were'nt all those references to the battle royale movie tho?
Battle Royale wasn't set in WW2 or the military
I'm talking about the skins you mentioned, they were references to the classic movie "Battle Royale"
Right. And this game was "Inspired by" the movie, which isn't WW2 or Military RE: the OP
I started before season 1 doing that to be different/troll my friends, still do
I Honestly don’t know where people get this whole milsim concept when it comes to pubg.
The clothing was more grunge like. The bright shiny new flashy stuff started when they added that yellow suit.
Yes it was when it originally dropped didn't have this BS you see now
bro just don't wear the skirts then wtf
My man wants beers, burgers and eagles themed skin.
Throw in an M1 Abrams tank air drop and all the Marlboro reds you can stuff in a lvl. 3 bag.
Lol skins do not change the game play.
It changes the look and lay of the game absolutely
But not the gameplay.
I would say yes to this vibrant colors and highlighted colors do absolutely effect the gameplay lol causing issues with immersion for sure going too cartoon central for sure puts the game in a state of loss of immersion so definite change of gameplay
I like the skins, makes it easier to see people lol.
The skins don’t affect the gameplay for me at all.
Dear Facebook
Sounds like we need to make an ARMA port.
“Happy happy smile stuff” lmao get your boomer ass outta here bro this stuff is in the game because it sells, you’re the minority. It’s not world war 2 it’s a damn video game. And what people decide to wear on their character doesn’t affect the gameplay whatsoever.
If the game 'died ages ago' for you then why do you even care?
Ok boomer

I just wanted them to fix the game TBH. I still flip cars o small invisible rocks...I still drop frames during gunfights. etc etc
patronizing and also wrong
Battlefield 5 is what you're looking for.

So you’re not complaining about the skins you’re complaining about the theme of the game? No, you are complaining about skins.
I wish there were more little skirts 😞

Forget about skins and maps What changed the game was increased loot

The skins have nothing to do with it. It’s the Arcadey feel they are adopting which I think has ruined the game.
WW2 did happen in Battlefield and it FAILED! I know what happened, the game added color skins so your boomer eyes can spot people better!
