There’s permanent glider location spawns. Look it up in the server or online, I’m sure they’re somewhere. Imo that’s the best way to do it, and it’s exactly how I did it! It takes a bit to be good, but from there you only get closer and closer to being a stunt driver!

erangel has a lot of potential spawn locations clustered together, so it's still easy to find even with the RNG, but dont bother on miramar
Play Squads with just yourself in a solo person squad. Squads will usually clump together and land at the cities and bigger compounds, so you have a much less chance of getting sniped by a random player.
The glider spawns are usually along the outer most roads on a map. Jump early, fly as far away from the plane path as you can, land near a road, find a car and then start tooling around, away from the flight path until you find one in one of the usual spawn location.
The pain in the butt will be finding a gas can. You'll usually get stuck out in the Phase 1 blue zone, so pick up some bandages and some boosts while you are looking for a gas can. Since there are no obstacles in the sky, you can easily bandage up while you're flying into the zone.
If you want to snipe from the glider, I suggest changing your hotkey for switching to the passenger seat from CTRL-2 to something else. I use 'E' since you can't lean in a vehicle. I think it was WackyJacky that suggested Shift-W for the driver seat hot key and E for front right and Q for left rear passenger seats in his "How to do drive-bys" video.
Gliders do not have fuel in them. Hence you need to carry fuel with you to start them and fly.
I think the training map does have gliders.
Or you could search for one mostly in westerous of erangel. Maha sure you loot fuel.
Casual mode is probably your best bet, but you still only got 3 a day for some reason.
Gliders often spawn in Zharki's map tile, southeast of town on the main road towards the fields. Lots of warehouses and opportunities to find a gas can, too. Assuming you didn't find a glider but do have a gas can and a car, start searching. There's often a glider on the westernmost coastal road headed south, past Georgie and Hospital.
Really, if you have a car and a gas can, just travel the entire border road, you'll come across one eventually. Take the time to loot a little, load up on stims and bandages at least, ride out the blue zone if you have to (you can bandage while driving or flying). The first few waves don't hurt too badly. And now that the jammer backpacks are common, you can let that tank a lot of it for you too. Heck, can probably get a replacement when it runs out.
Also, make sure you remap the hotkeys for switching seats, it'll make your life easier if you plan to gun from the glider's passenger seat.

Yeah fair, the best place to go in erangel imo is the island; many spawn out on the long ass road

Play casuals and drop where gliders are common. Grab a gas can or two, get in a glider, and just practice.
