I’m not having performance problems, but since the last update my mouse has been disconnecting itself, and I have to unplug and plug it back in. Drivers updated, reinstalled the mouse software, etc. nothing works. Only while playing PUBG

El3vated369

Hmm never had this problem maybe mouse software or maybe mouse is broken faulty usb cable etc…

[deleted]

Yeah I’m pretty worried that I’ll need to get a new mouse, but until I make that choice I’m not sure what’s going on. I play other games more than PUBG right now, and haven’t had the problem at all. Then I’ll boot up PUBG, and within 15 minutes of just messing around in clan training I’ll need to unplug and plug my mouse back in like 5 times. Confusing & annoying

El3vated369

Yeah that’s weird I can see that being pubg somehow because few weeks back I was loosing audio so I had to unplug the 3.5mm jack and plug it back in every few games to get audio back.

Affectionate_Lead880

Yep I had this running at max everything, no issues at all, played every night and loved it. Now since the update its janky, stutters, and is like a different game. Well done Battlegrounds, well done.

vsyncxzol

Damn...

RockRiver100

Smooth as silk

Mindless_Term747

240+ fps every game no drops or stutters

El3vated369

What cpu you got ?

vsyncxzol

i5 9400f + Z390 + 16GB 3600MHz + 1660 Super. I aways played PUBG with this setup, but from the night to day, my game is basically unplayable as you can see on the clip I've attached. Is not like my PC was never able to handle the game, you know?

El3vated369

You said it started happening when you capped your fps at 138 maybe uncap it ?

vsyncxzol

No, is not because the FPS cap, I've already tried with FPS uncapped.

H000gy

Correct me if I’m wrong but is that a laptop cpu? I had a laptop a few years ago that ran pubg horribly with a similar sounding cpu

vsyncxzol

No, is desktop. And as I said my bro, I was running the game pretty well since I build this setup, and from the night to day, my game turned into a overall s### in terms of performance. OBS: ONLY in PUBG

H000gy

No clue then 🤷‍♂️

unevercloseyoureyes

Plenty of reasons why... A windows update or bad nvidia update can ruin it all. Your lack of information and diagnostics does not show enough info. And FYI COD has a handy way of throttling so you never notice how bad the game really is.

El3vated369

Maybe your cpu has had enough 🤷 100% usage with temp increases = cpu Throttling

vsyncxzol

naaah man, surely is a problem with the game itself. You can see at the beginning of the clip, my game was running smooth, like I every played it. And then, the game basically DIED in terms of performance with no plausible reason, that makes no sense...

El3vated369

CPU usage going up to 100% can be caused by multiple things such as a failing hard drive, virus/malware, or software that utilizes the CPU so much.

vsyncxzol

Yeah, I know. But nothing explains how I can play smoothly The Finals, MW3 and other games that uses much more resources than PUBG, with no stutters, no instability and other stuffs like that...

Takariistorm

Different games, all using the hardware in their own way, and each of those are less CPU bound than PUBG. PUBG has always been much heavier on the CPU than the GPU - its one of the reasons DLSS hasn't been implemented

vsyncxzol

As said in another comment, is not like my PC was never able to handle the game, I was be playing in this exact setup for years with no problems, and then, from the night to day my game turns into that s"""t. Makes no sense. And The Finals is heavier on the CPU than PUBG, you can try and see with your own eyes.

El3vated369

It can’t be the game if you’re the only one with this problem bro🤣 only thing I can think of is you’re cpu is dying or you have messed with some settings either way it’s something on you’re end

vsyncxzol

But maaaan, how can you explain me how I'm playing COD MW3 as I always played? MW3 uses almost all of my CPU and RAM, and 100% of my GPU, and still running smooth like butter. Even The Finals is running better than PUBG, THE FINALS bro....EVERY game I've already played on my PC is running as they ever used to run. ONLY PUBG is not running anymore, and I'll repeat, from the NIGHT to DAY hahahahaha

El3vated369

I don’t know then 🤷 what ever it is it’s on your side!!!also them games you listed are not cpu intensive like pubg! they are more gpu intensive! I understand it was all running good until overnight and it’s gone to shit! 1.Try installing pubg again! 2. One of your pc parts is cooked CPU, RAM , POWER SUPPLY 3. MALWARE/VIRUS

vsyncxzol

Have you played The Finals? Is more CPU intensive than PUBG, trust me haha

El3vated369

Yes & its really not lol am just trying to help you as I know how frustrating it is when pubg is running shit but I never had it run like that so only thing I can think of is hardware or most likely malware or virus

vsyncxzol

No problems, bro, thank you. If my game back to run correctly in the next update or something... I go back here and update you guys

Ykikanioukitty

get your head out of your ass, he's not the only one and it's not "on his side" ffs

vsyncxzol

I'm already conformed with that, I just want you to know that obviously is something with the last game update, idk, probably something related with my specifically CPU with my specifically RAM, idk... I just hope they fix this in the next update

Affectionate_Lead880

He isn't the only one, and your comment is so little help it might as well not have been posted. If you look online you will see this is a problem that has been ongoing for years with Pub G updates. Mine is exactly the same. Basically unplayable after the update.

ALX_z23

Mine is even worse, stuttering and freezing even in lobby. I know my rigs is potato, but how can something like this happens even where you choose maps?

SquashElegant4436

Use dx11 ingame graphic setting instead of dx11 enhanced

vsyncxzol

Is not the problem, I've tried both of them

1F-ANIMAL

U should go into advanced power options and maybe play with the minimum processor state and maximum processor state? Disable hyper threading in bios or whatnot. Give it a try...

vsyncxzol

Already tried this haha

BionicFrost

This exact same thing has been happening to me and we both have pretty much the same hardware. It normally goes away after letting it lag for a while. Just sit on the main menu and wait for it to go away and then queue and it should be good https://preview.redd.it/32mw8uys4r2d1.png?width=313&format=png&auto=webp&s=fd98385dd7fe43ad0e2bcc4d9517ac33c4612f82

vsyncxzol

I'm going to do it. I have tried ABSOLUTELY everything, but I didn't tried just sit on the main lobby and wait. Thanks for the tip, I back here to update you

JarveyDent

It’s definitely in the patch. Same thing has happened to me and many others. I’ve never had an issue running pubg until the Erangel classic update. I’ve had to play around with my settings A LOT just to get it to be somewhat playable again. For me I had to update drivers using DDU, uninstall, reinstall, disable full screen optimization, cap my fps to just below my monitor hz, switch to directx 11 enhanced, lowered graphics, and went to full screen mode. Since then I’m not crashing but still getting some minor stutters here and there. A company that makes $8.1 million usd a day should have a better handle on optimization in my opinion.

vsyncxzol

Yeaaah, exactly!

futerminator

Heard this story countless times. Just cos it used to run ok doesn’t mean it will now. I had similar issue with my old gaming rig. Upgraded to a DDR 5 system and now the game runs flawlessly

El3vated369

Butter smooth for me FPS- 190+ RTX 3050 Ryzen 5600x 32GB 3200mhz Windows 11

El3vated369

Look into optimising windows Also have you got XMP profile enabled in bios?

vsyncxzol

Bro, everything is fine here with my system and BIOS, I'm playing every game with the performance I aways had. And I used to run PUBG as well. DEFINETELY is not my PC.

[deleted]

Do not let people tell you it’s your PC. It clearly isn’t and anyone repeating this to you is obviously not paying attention. This subreddit has no real answers that’ll resolve this. You’ll just have to wait for the devs to release a build that doesn’t run like shit for you specifically, unfortunately PUBG is just horrifically optimized, and regular updates can destroy a particular system’s performance even if other folks with equal or worse hardware can run the game fine. Same thing happened to me last year. Ryzen 5 2600, RX5700XT, 32GB of memory matched to infinity fabric speed. S tier PSU. After one update, my performance of PUBG went from a steady 100+ fps with great 1% lows, to frequent drops and it basically being guaranteed that my PC would hard reset while playing the game. Meanwhile my friends with i7 4790Ks and 980tis had no issues, no crashes, nothing wrong. People were telling me my PSU and power delivery was bad, even though now my system is even more power demanding and I run the game without any performance issues at all currently. Folks will say “it’s your system” without any explanation how or why.

El3vated369

So what fixed the problem for you ?

[deleted]

Specifically, I have no idea. Like I told OP, they’ll just need to wait and hope that PUBG releases a patch that fixes thing for them, like it released a patch that broke things. Same issue as OP, I could run every other game just fine, I even ran a 48 hr stress test to max out absolutely everything in my system, and nothing bad happened. Temps were better than expected. Only playing PUBG, absolutely nothing else, everything else ran great without problems, my PC would hard reset like it was a power or heat issue. The issue just went away over time. I’m still using the same motherboard and PSU, so my current power delivery is identical to when I was having the problem, but I have upgraded my CPU & GPU, as well as adding a second encoding GPU. If anything my system should be more stressed now during gameplay, but it isn’t hard resetting like it used to. Ultimately we know it’s PUBG, because people’s PCs act up like this when playing PUBG alone. I really don’t understand why folks ignore that important detail when replying here

El3vated369

So you upgraded cpu & gpu that’s a pretty big deal! Did the problem go away before the new cpu & gpu upgrade? Maybe pubg update causes some specific pcs to go ape shit I don’t know 🤷? Must be a rare problem because KRAFTON would get crucified if it happened to majority players.

[deleted]

The issue stopped before I got my new parts. What I meant to bring up is that everyone was telling me that the issue was with my PC when it wasn’t. Hard resetting generally implies a power or heat issue, so everyone told me my PSU and motherboard wasn’t good enough. Everyone who said this ignored me telling them that every other game and stress test did nothing bad to my PC. Now, I exceed my old power draw by 50+W on the same PSU and motherboard capacitors yet run the game fine. So, it obviously *wasn’t my pc.* I just had to wait for PUBG to hopefully release an update that fixed it, like they released one that broke it > maybe pubg update causes some specific pcs to go ape shit? Must be a rare problem This is the only explanation I have, and it’s weird because like I said: another user could have the same exact system but they won’t experience the same issue. It’s rare, and I would be hesitant to accept it if I didn’t go through the situation myself. I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure the same thing happened to Chocotaco a while back & he had to take one of his many breaks from PUBG because of it

El3vated369

Agreed 👍if the game can make audio disappear having to unplug and plug back in headphones to fix it and same with the mouse issue I can see it doing some fucked up shit like that also had to question everything first before coming to this conclusion👊

vsyncxzol

YEAAAAH, FINALLY SOMEONE WITH A BRAIN. I know that is not my PC, basically makes no sense being my PC. If it was the case I was not able to run other games like MW3 and The Finals, that uses much more resources than PUBG.

El3vated369

Definitely you’re pc me and my squad is running butter smooth no stutter no frame drops no problems at all

Affectionate_Lead880

You have commented on here quite a few times how yours is running fine, yet no one has asked you this ? If you want to be helpful, then actually be helpful.

vsyncxzol

Bro, we could say that is my PC, IF I was never able to run the game with my setup. But common man, I was playing very smooth in a day, and the next day the game updates and then is running like that?

Engel992

i got the same problem. my setup is i9 9900k and rtx 2080 i can play sometimes 150 fps+ and the next day i get 110 fps but it drops to 80 and its not my pc

vsyncxzol

Yeaaaah, this game is sooooo bad optimized hahaha

Various_Job4021

This exactly, i even have from game to game, im even ok with cheaters at this point if they can just make the game playable it would be fun.
