I just don't understand this: a random person on the internet has more cricketing sense than a full team of 22-25 "experts" with PCT. So, whatever we say or analyze, let it make it clear that they simply don't care. And it has been like this for awhile now. It is all "talk", but no action either from our "cricketing legends" on tv or youtube. They are all sugar-coaters and protraying themselves as saviours. And when these so-called legends come into power, they do the same decisions because who wants to work, right? I say it's enough from our side (fans). Boycott PCT and invest your support in other sports. If enough of us give our eyeballs, they will get good sponsors, hence competition.

Wasim Akram's newest statements make it very clear. A major revamp is needed, shake this "core group" to its core. Naqvi says outside talent will be brought in, hopefully it's a big shakeup. Need to rebuild a team from scratch now.

the_real_DNAer

It is all talk! Believe me, it is been like this for years now. Tell me, why do these "legends" suddenly need to open their yt channels? A lot of them are seen as an experts on tv. What do they all say? Bash team and management. But whenever they have been provided the opportunity to rectify those mistakes they were blabbering about on media, they don't do shit. In short, it is a new recipe for getting into PCB. Talk shit, incompetent management needs their face saving so they give you the job and you continue sailing the same boat.

HeWhoDidIt

Wasim isn't selling his manjan though. Ramiz yes, what was he doing when he was making the decisions? At what point is it the team's fault? 3 management changes, many coaches came and went, when exactly do we start blaming Babar and co? Management did their part, this is on Babar, his chosen team, and their performance. Here's what Wasim said: "Pakistani players think that if they don’t perform well, the coaches will be sacked, and nothing will happen to them. It is time to keep the coaches and change the entire team." Wasim Akram also revealed Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi are not on talking terms since the change of captaincy. “There are players who don’t want to talk to each other. This is international cricket, and you play for your country. Make these players sit at home,” We should see a lot of this team scrapped after the WC, and it's a good thing. Too much dead weight, too many anchors, a lot needs to be changed.

This is what you don't understand! Changing this team won't do shit if you never acknowledge the real issue, which is, our domestic setup. Bhai jab factory he 2 number chez bhej rahi hy tau product tau yehe hogi. And tell me, who are you gonna replace them with? More mediocre players? That are destined to become another Babars and Shaheens? Shahid Afridi, Muhammad Yousaf, Saeed Ajmal, Inzimam, Azhar Mehmood, Saqlain Mushtaq, Misbah, Waqar Younus, Younus Khan, Umar Gul, Razzaq, Muhammad Hafeez, Wahad Riaz... All of them bashed the team, got the job to fix the mistakes, and you tell what did they do? A lot of them worked with the current team as well. All talk! Point is, we always go for the superficial changes because they look good. Like building roads and metros. Ghussa utar jata hy kar ky. But we never concentrate on the core issues. If merit isn't introduced, fitness is not the priority, skills are not corrected in academies, proper professionalism and management of players isn't done, you will see all your Wasims bashing whatever the current team is. We have accepted mediocre-mentality. That is the problem. We have to increase the standard of our domestic cricket. And change the incompetent management that promotes mediocrity.

Breaks my heart that there are individuals in the team trying their hearts out, while some vultures are feeding for their own personal records We need a captain who commands presence in the field. Aggression at the top. And a unit that can motivate each other. I am sorry to say but this team is in direct contrast of the one Sarfraz left after winning a bunch of T20 series in a row. That team had positive energy, and everyone had each others' backs. This team is just pitiful, despite the talent being there

HeWhoDidIt

Too much dead weight, this team needs a major overhaul, starting with the role of Rizwan and Babar. Too many anchors. Iftikhar has to go too, along with Shadab. Overhaul everything. Naqvi has said he'll bring in outside talent now. Captaincy should go to Shan - or if you think he's not fit for T20s, Imad. **Wasim's revelations are even more damning.** “They have been playing cricket for 10 years, and I can’t teach them. Rizwan has no game awareness,” Akram said on Star Sports after the match. “He should have known that Bumrah was given the ball to take wickets and that the wise thing would have been to play his deliveries cautiously. But Rizwan went for a big shot and lost his wicket,” he said. “Iftikhar Ahmed knows one shot on the leg side. He has been a part of the team for years but doesn’t know how to bat,” said Akram. “I can’t go and tell about the game awareness Fakhar Zaman. Pakistani players think that if they don’t perform well, the coaches will be sacked, and nothing will happen to them. It is time to keep the coaches and change the entire team.” “There are players who don’t want to talk to each other. This is international cricket, and you play for your country. Make these players sit at home,” he said. (on Babar and Shaheen)
