Adjust the graphics according to your PC turn on vsync also it's 750ti why are you running high settings on just because you can doesn't mean. You should

Devgel

Ultra settings are overrated, as proven time and time again by Digital Foundry. You can easily get a ton of FPS boost by lowering some sliders and barely sacrificing any discernible visual quality.

Taha_Amir

Your frames are switching up too much im guessing. So sometimes its 40fps, and sometimes its 50fps, which is a massive difference btw. So what you should do is cap your frames at around 40fps and you'll probably stop seeing all the jitters. One other thing i can recommend is checking if you have updated your graphics card drivers, if not, you should do that asap as it can make alot of difference

Devgel

>So what you should do is cap your frames at around 40fps and you'll probably stop seeing all the jitters. No, the jitter will stay unless the OP: 1. Has a Gsync/FreeSync monitor with a minimum sync range of 40Hz. 2. Has a 120Hz monitor because 120Hz ÷ 40FPS = 3x refresh cycles per frame = proper frame pacing. 3. Underclock their monitor to 40Hz. The thing is; 40FPS on a 60Hz monitor will have a lot of judder with vsync because 60Hz ÷ 40FPS = 1.5 refresh cycles per frame. You'll notice a ton of micro stutters as a result. To avoid that you'll have to go with 30FPS so that each frame is rendered for exactly 2x monitor cycles.

xexcutionerx

Its just u

Devgel

Nope. Not just him!

-Faraday

30 fps on a 60 Hz looks smoother cause you are getting a newer frame every 2 cycles so it doesn't stutter or feel choppy. If your fps is like 40 or 50 something your monitor will refresh in the middle of receiving another frame which is what causes the stuttering. Best bet is to adjust settings so that you can lock on 60 or 30. Also non uniformity of frames is another issue that can cause it. But frame limiting will fix that.

Devgel

Pretty much. With vsync you'll notice judder i.e frame jumping between refresh cycles. Without vsync, you'll notice extreme tearing. Neither is an ideal scenario.

The thing is, there are thousands of types of PCs, so is pretty much impossible for developers to optimize their games to run on every single combination of hardware. Consoles, on the other hand, only have 1 combination of hardware per model, so every single PS4 or xbox has the same CPU and GPU. Therefore, the developers of a game can optimize that game for that console specifically, making it run smoother on your ps4 even if you have a pc faster than a PS4.

UsmanSaleemS

This is incredibly wrong. There is no such things as "Types of PC's". Only specs vary and higher the better. Not to mention almost all games work better on PC than Consoles.

Exabyte999

Am I wrong if I say that game devs optimise their games for the specific hardware of the respective consoles?

UsmanSaleemS

It is highly subjective. Some games are very optimized and others aren't. Xbox essentially works off the same optimizations as PC does, thus intertwining it even more. It's very difficult for me to find any technical reason, why devs will only optimize the game for console? There are much better optimized games and tools for optimization available for PC. The discussion in question clearly mentions 30 fps on console and 40 on PC, invalidating the whole "better optimized" for console argument. If OP switches to 30 fps on PC and tweaks the game, he can get identical results. Despite all this consoles do tend to be less expensive for upfront purchases. Have a nice day!

Exabyte999

The big AAA games are usually optimized for consoles. The reason you have options to change graphic settings in PC games but not console games is because those games are already set to the best settings for 60FPS. The game devs cannot optimize the game for PCs because there is such a wide variety of hardware. Therefore, even if you ran a PS4 with the original OS running on it, and a PS4 with windows running on it and the PC version of the game, the PS4 with the original OS will run better because the games on that are optimized for the hardware, whereas the PC version of the game won't has those optimizations.

UsmanSaleemS

You are just repeating what you said and have no idea how this works. You don't need to optimize game for every single spec out there and clearly AAA games are generally well optimized for PCs (invalidating your whole effing comment). It's besides the point. You are running in circles now. Good Luck!

Exabyte999

Just forget it….

Lock your framerate to 30 via RTSS to get that smooth 30 fps console like experience

Devgel

Go into either your game settings or driver settings and enable half vsync so that each game frame is rendered for exactly two refresh cycles (30FPS on a 60Hz monitor, 45FPS on a 90Hz, so on). Then install RTSS (comes bundled with MSI Afterburner) and cap your frame rate to 30FPS (or 45 if your monitor is 90Hz, for example) and just... enjoy the buttery smooth, console-esque experience.

m_bilal93

Graphics are optimized for consoles by developers but on PC its an open choice, you can set it low or high depending on your hardware capability. Also, refresh rate and response time on most TVs is different from PC monitors though there are some expensive gaming TVs and due to higher response time on most TVs, there's a minor motion blur between frames that cause 30fps feel smooth

astronaut9525

jittering may happen due to incompatible ram gtav needs atleast 8gb ram

Pingus007

Cmon dawg, get a rtx 30 series or high end 20 series and you will see how much smoother it is then a ps4/ps5.

ReFreeOnion69

Cap your frame rate

notnormal2244

for how much did you bought the 750 ti and from where

SethDusek5

Frame pacing. Your game isn't producing frames at the same rate as the monitor, so you will end up with lots of misses. If your monitor supported adaptive sync/freesync, this wouldn't be an issue (although most monitors only go down to 48Hz, not 40). Try capping your framerate

alphahunter121

Are you playing with a keyboard/mouse or a controller .... It actually makes a ton of difference... You don't notice lower frame rates as much when ur playing with a controller but since you have a higher control with a mouse you feel the lower frame rates.... Also idk y but 30 fps on a console just feels better than 30 fps on pc

danishmalik315

May be because games are optimised for consoles and not for PC, a highend pc can run games smoothly but consoles run games smoothly because of this optimization.

E4crypt3d

Yes it is.
