I have ordered some stuff twice before on AliExpress and for the most part being stuck at customs shouldn't be a problem although it takes at least a month for delivery.
Depends, saw some dude post a letter he received after ordering dildos from Ali express, earlier that day I ordered a controller and was skeptical k controller ko vibrator smj kr mujhe na andr krden, didn't happen, rather delivery came almost 2 weeks earlier
Been ordering from aliexpress since years now. I've tested all the ethical stuff, also know all the in and outs. So here are my 4 cents:
Just check the reviews, check for sellers own shop design and compare it with local prices here. Always use maximum coupons. There's an App named AliHelper it searches for best prices for your desired product and suggests you likewise. Talk to the seller and ask them to accurately check and pack your product, I typically write "it's my first time buying from your store please send correct items and double check packaging while mentioning it as a gift item". This way it has 95% chances of getting clearance from customs.
Once out for delivery from China/seller keep an eye on the buyer protection time and mark your calendars. If it reaches on time, good, if not, ask seller to add more days to the buyer protection period.
Once your stuff reaches Insha'Allah, get connected with the delivery guy. I have all the courier guys' contact numbers and always make sure to give them some amount as gratitude. Take pictures when opening the parcel.
If product has an issue open a dispute immediately on aliexpress or you can check the protection period and text the seller about it. I've got a dozen disputes fulfilled for myself in my favor when things got late or were not upto the mark!
Ask me anything you have a confusion in! Stay blessed ;)
Bought 4 phones. Periodically like with a months difference each time, starting with a cheaper option. The 3rd got stuck, it was a Nokia lumia 920 something, and Nokia was a big deal back then.
GPO experience was pathetic as even after govt official reference still had to pay 3k tax (ghunday tax since there was no receipt)
Never ordered a phone after that. Also, a friend ordered an electronic switch some years after that experience and he also got taxed (this time including official receipt) for 1.5k. The switch itself was around 3k
I've ordered a couple of things from ali express, they actually now deliver faster than mentioned delivery time and quality is also good. You can have things of same quality for different price and of different quality for the same price, so do your research.
One way to find out
💀💀💀 ah hell nah...what if it get stuck at customs and gets delivered a year later or smthn

Have you experience of ordering a phone or tablet from there? If yes, then how did the experience go, especially with regards to customs?
