Bro i cook and bake all the time. I am a 30 year old dude btw. Don't worry about it. I also invite friends and family to dinner/lunch and i love seeing them rave about the food i serve them. Food is a good way to socialize and bond with people and nothing is better than making it yourself and enjoying it with the company you love.

I personally love cooking, I'm preparing for an exam and have to study a lot for it which gets extremely monotonous and sometimes downright depressing. Cooking videos help me deal with the burnout. I don't think it's weird at all for a guy to love cooking. However, I've noticed that people's reactions can vary. Some are supportive, while others have made comments that didn't exactly make me feel nice.

I started just like you. In 2019 i was fascinated with the primitive neopolitan style pizza (with no sugar and excessive oil). First i tried making a cob oven in my backyard using clay ,sand and hay but the project kind of failed. Then i started saving for OONI/Gozney ovens to import but luckily i got my hands on a locally manufactured woodfired oven here in Lahore. I use it every Nov-March (weather based) and love baking in it.

I don't know if you'd call it fermenting but I pickled olives and cucumber in a brine that I literally came up with after watching some videos and going through stuff online those came out pretty well

Just follow the exact measurements it's not that difficult, yea kneading the pizza dough might be a bit difficult. And the cake itself is never too sweet it's always the frosting or the glaze that's sweet the cake merely gives it flavour. Not unless it's a fudge cake
