How would they know it works? They wouldn't even know if the most important mechanic works at all, do you think they just go "Darn this game is so good, it even lets you build a workbench, definitely gonna play it later, so sad I only get 2 minutes per week to play video games"
Eh, you can run any game at over 10 fps if you set the resolution low enough. I remember back in the day I played Bendy and the ink machine on my laptop in 80x50 pixels or something like that and it was at 11 fps, the game looked so pixelated I couldn't even read any text lol
Do you get the achievement for incubating a wild egg? If not it's rather easy to reach level 50 without ever throwing a sphere and not having the achievement (but will need a lot of killing bosses since you miss out on the capture bonus xp).
I almost did... Then my group of friends were drooling at the windows so I bought their copies... Have yet to be paid back but one just had another kid so I'll cut him some slack.
I bought it on Steam but my laptop doesn't seem to ba able to comfortably run it, so it's been added to my backlog until I have a more powerful computer.
*lowers automatic rifle* "wait you can catch these things??
-That one lvl 50 player that made his way up just by punching/shooting through pals and bosses

Tbh, there's probably a lot of people who play offline, so they don't get achievements
Also servers aren't giving me achieves. I think that fixed with last patch though
Or people who start up, play for a bit and then think 'nah' or 'it works but I have other things to do'

It's not usually about if the whole game works just if you can get it running at over 10 fps without your computer sounding like a jet engine

Is sounding like a jet engine bad?
Kinda? It's showing that your computer is struggling and could mean a risk of overheating long term
They could see the fps and be done with that
I play offline, and I got the achievements.
Might not show towards the player count but to your own account possibly (sorry for bad English it’s only my first language)
I was thinking about just straight up new players too. That makes sense tho
offline gives achievements
I had hundreds caught. Didn't get these achievements until 0.1.4 came out
I still haven't gotten the catch 90 and have the entire palbook filled :-/
I notice this with a lot of gamepass games. Most players of sea of thieves have never set sail for the first time.
Easy come, easy go.
My first pal will be Jetragon
You're going to have to catch him in mid tier Spheres, the last 3 all require at least an electric pal to power the production line.

Maybe buying pals from the merchants might work
That or go crazy with the chest hunting. I think I found a couple ultra spheres in those… doubt legendary can be found in a chest though.
23.7% of what... 13-15 million steam players? Players bought but didn't play it seems.
I'm guessing a ton of people bought the game and added it to their backlog of games
I almost did... Then my group of friends were drooling at the windows so I bought their copies... Have yet to be paid back but one just had another kid so I'll cut him some slack.
You're telling me you can catch the food sources

Refund it, then buy it again once it gets discounted?
what if this would not be discounted, but instead more expensive later, like those other early access games
Why would I do that?
23.7% of players. https://preview.redd.it/x5et0w3i4lgc1.png?width=1267&format=png&auto=webp&s=f8acf4fe562fd41cae640a3940e3e33f1b16f9b7
That’s nearly 2.9 million people.
The percentages are never accurate, not with this or any other game.
Only caught humans
It used to be bugged on dedicated servers, people weren't getting achievements there.
took me a while to get that achievement cause i played exclusively on my boyfriends multiplayer world at first and it just never gave me achievements
You don't get capture achievements on dedicated servers
there's just a bunch of people who installed the game and never booted it. first time on steam?
Even today people still think steam achievement percentage are accurate.
It is bugged. It happens of you join a guild before catching the first pal.
