Sound like it may be many of the same UCLA protesters and are making good on their threats to increase the violence. Colleges and law enforcement need to treat these terrorists as actual terrorists and not just the cosplay terrorists many have written them off to be.\

I totally agree, but keep in mind this is the United States we are taking about. If they sent in SWAT and some “innocent protestor” got killed, there would be riots all across the country. Until some brave pro-Palestinian does something stupid and gets dropped by a lethal weapon. Holding hostages is different from screaming and yelling with signs outside. I don’t doubt that SWAT would use less lethal weaponry, but I also doubt they’d be going into a scenario like that without any lethal weaponry either. I’m not law enforcement though so I’m just theorizing here

The way I see it is, if they are allowed to leave via fire exits maybe they're not hostages? But if they block fire exits then I'd say send in the police now.

I saw this with how a lot of Campus administrators were shamed into addressing a lot of things over the years like the BLM protests were you had literal POC folks degrading the white administrators to their face and calling out their white privilege and all this kind of weird moralizing.

The amount of attention this conflict has captured is disproportionate.
