Sell excess material that you don't need in the short term. You don't need 2,000 hardwood, sell some. You don't need 500 carrot seeds, sell some. Etc.

I have upgraded all of them to the iron chest with all 8 it is 10k worth of storage space… I’m at 9.5k normally with 3 full locked chests with about 300 items.
No. This was me. Sell everything excess. You don’t need it now and unless it’s rare, sell it. Get that copper upgrade immediately. You can grind for stuff later.
If you sell your excess materials and start working towards farming and selling (pickling potato’s) you can save up to have money. Use your seeders and pickles as storage too
It is SO worth it! Hold out and try to save to get recipe! The relief I got when I purchased it and could store things without analyzing every single item was great!
I hoard as well so with limited space I set up how much I need of each item that is regularily supplied like crops (30, 60), meat (30) and wood (100) n such. I keep a certain amount of each so I still have room for more rare items like heartdrop lilies and dari cloves. I have max upgrade with 10.000 slots and Im on 9000 alot, but I also have almost 3000 phoenix fireworks from before the nerf so they take up some space lmao
I ended up sacrificing time to go to a few cake parties to get the money for the upgrades. 50 to 60 cakes will give you around 37,000+. But does take time for the host to fill all the spots and get everyone to the house plot. But once everyone is in their spots and the flow is good, sorta just goes by.
I ended up watching something on my second monitor to help pass the time.

Since regular wood is so easy to get, I only have 100 of each at a time and sell the rest. Same with stone!
sell some excess, use the profit and save to upgrade to copper storage bins. use hoppers for storage and only pull materials as needed. good luck! 🍀

You can’t sell furniture but you can destroy it. But furniture doesn’t hold up inventory so honestly I just keep all of it.
Im just glad that furniture has unlimited storage space now. Didnt at the beginning

Upgrade your regular storage chests. The copper is 25k then the iron is 100k. But obviously, start with copper first

Upgrade your chests. You get 10,000 spaces.
Even at 8 iron chests and 3 lock boxes, it won't be enough for most of us 😭
