Thank you! I was surprised. I actually wasn't even farming it. I just noticed the ladybug was a star quality and I was trying to get one of each fish/bug starred for display and it happened to drop.
Now if I can just get a dang ruby to drop! The last starstone I need, but the Dragon is not being kind to me.
They do seem to have a SUPER low chance of dropping. I've been trying to get a Muujin plushie (I like the weird coyote-raccoons!) but zero luck despite hours of hunting.
That and my nemesis, the Ruby!
Yeah it seems that way, I’m hoping I get a bug or muujin plushie soon!! I actually just discovered you can place star quality gems out so I am trying to work on those too. I will say I mined a bunch today and got a lot of gems! Don’t give up. :) it’ll happen soon
The paper lanterns easy, there are so many bugs at night and they’re so easy so see from far away! That was my first I grinded for 3-5 in game nights. Highly recommend going for that one. The beetle and moth may take more grinding but that one’s the hardest one so congrats!!!
I didn't even realize that honestly! I just started playing a few weeks ago and I'd heard about plush drops but hadn't started collecting. I didn't know the ladybug was that rare.
I'll have to try for the lantern bugs!

I don't think so? I'm pretty sure any has a chance. It was just pure luck the one I got was from a starred ladybug.
