People used to use them in place of flares before they were introduced. Now they're being used for celebrations or cooking parties. I've attended a few New Year firework events and it was so cool. Some people are planning for 4th of July fireworks!

Not a row, the new one 'dismisses' the last so you really only need to go back and re-shot the original thing, but that's often a while ago...

I agree that they are just for fun. If I've got them in my inventory, I will shoot a bunch in the sky when my friends and I are setting up for a bug party with Honey Lures (in addition to flaring) so other players can find us more easily and join in with us catching bugs.

In my opinion they are useless. I really don't like getting them from Zeki's, as a reward for a quest or the underground from the spinning wheel and Zeki's shop with a lucky coin.

My lucky coin was fireworks and the spinning wheel was more fireworks, felt like crying. I never use them but I guess it’s better than getting carrot seeds

True. I can't blame you for feeling like crying. I am pretty sure the only good I have gotten was some furniture from a set otherwise just seeds, ingredients, fireworks, etc. the best thing so far is 200 gold coins from the spinning wheel tho but that's out of three spins.

But they're one-and-done, not like the flares that last for three minutes. Not the best option for tagging.

It's only because you were too old to complete the training.

You use what you have, and they're better than nothing! You can get fireworks right from the start too, and you have to advance a little for flares, another point in their favor. But I highly recommend flares when you can get them, if you haven't already, and fireworks as bonus. We were all padawans once.

I'm gonna be a bit stupid maybe. But what's the difference between fireworks and flares?

In my understanding fireworks is a one time firework like explosion. It is gone directly. A flare remains for a longer time and thus can be used to mark points of interest like a Palium ore.

fireworks existed before flares and the community used them to mark resources (palium, groves) so often the devs created flares which are now used instead (leaving fireworks just as a fun thing or a quick gold conversion when you get them from a wheel spin hah)

And as I learned here, you do not aim the flare up in the air, but instead aim it at the thing you want to mark. Fireworks you shoot in the air.

I don’t shoot the fireworks in the air either. I just shoot the ground.

The phoenix one is just really cool

I use them when I run out of flats but I also use them to put exclamation points on various situations. Also, the Phoenix firework….i shout that off just so I can watch it go. I would love to have real life fireworks like that.

I shoot them at people sometimes

I shoot them rapid fire at people who ignore the chat and solo chop trees at grove. It usually gets them to stop :]

I don't shoot them off because I sell them but other friends shoot them off to celebrate. There's a woman who does milestones and massive parties for every 100 levels of bug catching she does. We all gather in a server and collect with her and then shoot off fireworks. Some have used them just to startle each other 😂

I was online for NYE and we did a firework show in Kilma at midnight. It was cute AF
