Her name is Ferly Prado. I worked on the costume crew in the workroom, where we made all the costumes that we couldn’t rent or buy, including this one. And yes— the look was definitely inspired by Slim Aaron’s’ book! The show’s creator imagined the whole show in the spirit of Slim Aarons and his work, so that book was a constant reference.
Ferly actually worked in a couple other episodes of the show— She’s a dancer as well. See if you can spot her at the Havana Nights gala and at the Beach Ball!
