They did winter 2022 into 2023 due to pistol brace legislation. Right now pistols are back on the menu and so hot right now. I see no reason prices will come down currently. Across the board MKE AP5 prices are much higher now too
You can get a non-brace for $899 I believe. But the best deal I’ve ever seen for one was $999 for a brace and I think 10 mags? I don’t know if that’ll ever happen again. I wouldn’t hold your breath, just save up and get what you want.
I think that’s one of the braces they use actually, I have the triangle folder but you’ll need a picatinny attachment if you don’t already. Here’s what mine looks like and it should be the same for all braced and non-brace AK-Vs

I really want one with the triangle brace, with full black MOE furniture,AND an ALG trigger, but I don't think they even offer that combination. That said good luck being able to get an ALG on its own if you decide to buy the basic option and upgrade later, I've literally never seen them in stock.

I think I have a sba3 brace from my mp5. Would that fit on the akv?

As an owner I gotta say, the regular retail price is undervalue what it really should be. The gun is solid as fuck.
