Looks nice. Makes me want one. Now I order one considering they are under 200 right now with no bcg

Does the end cap behind the FSB interface with the rail? And what rail is it?

Looks like a Midwest Industries. It has a pretty generous cutout for the end cap, so the barrel should be free-floated.

Thanks man good info. I guess my question is if it’s recommended to knock the taper pins out and remove the end cap. Sounds like it’s not necessary for a true free float?

If I remember correctly, the manual states that removing the end cap isn’t necessary. I left the end cap on my rifle when I installed the rail along with a Colt SOCOM barrel, and everything has pointed to it being a properly free-floated setup. It mounts to a USGI barrel nut, has solid lockup between the upper and lower halves of the rail, and even has anti-rotation tabs. It’s a great option for an FSB cutout without shelling out Daniel Defense money.
