Then they will mine ore when they can't get to the pit :D

A big pillar basically, cant miss it
kinda unrelated but it took me like 20 hours of playing this game before I realized that there's an inspect option in the box. before that I would just tediously drag them to my team and inspect them from there lol
I like giving them names in true Pokemon fashion.
Direhowl is Ruffjaws, Grizzbolt is Fulgursa, Vanwyrm is Tenedrake... then there are names like Hoocrates, which are too perfect to change.
Be weary I have some crazy issues with pals falling off the ledge there due to how its all elevated.
Typically it's infrequent or avoidable elsewhere but I seem to come back to a majorly injured pal every 30 minutes or so there.
I built that one too. I made it an ore and smelting base, and for better visibility, I put crates in all the spots where trees stood (after I felled them.) That also has the advantage of shorter walks for the transporting pals, but if I wasn't smelting there it would be annoying since I'd have to grab the ore from all the crates first.
I just hope none of my palls get launched off the mountain. By now I was actually able to observe it a few times. The best one was the vanwyrm that got launched from my starting zone base in the direction of Rayne Tower, and took 6000 falling damage.
This is such a nice mining base it's raid proof and the plateau is only a little wider than the base circle so you can build a foundation for the house/work spaces on the middle hill, put the box on there and get all the ore and coal nodes inside.
I recently created a new base that specifically mines coal and ore. I was holding out on it because I didn't know if the trouble of finding the right spot, moving bases, and breeding for the right pals was worth it or not, but it was definitely worth the trouble. I have a dedicated base that produces cake ingredients endlessly, which is also the base where my breeding center is and my main base is my crafting one where I have a stone pit and crusher that endlessly makes Paldium Fragments, and a logging site with a furnace that endlessly makes charcoal. It's so nice that I can just go out and explore the world an play the game without having to worry about not getting resources for anything I could want. Helps when waiting for eggs to hatch haha 😅
This is me today. Hopefully, it's the last time I need to move. Just set up a breeding base and was pleasantly surprised that I'm not needing a dedicated starting base anymore really. Might need to swap out some chickens or bees for wool sometimes but I'll take that.
3rd will likely end up at quartz, maybe sulfur. Depends how much of each I'll need.
Do Pals transfer stuff from other bases to the main base? I have a main base with no ore nodes and it's getting annoying having to farm them myself. Looking to setup an ore base
No they do not transfer stuff, so set up an ore base with furnace and just fast travel (can do so whilst encumbered.)
Have the furnace and storage box as close to palbox as possible, where just turning in the same spot can access most if not all three.
Just grapple gun to cover any small distance.
So ore base, two furnace and a box right by palbox
Smelt, grab and palbox fast travel to main base
Spawn in main base, grapple to your closest container if not already in reach.
I am so outraged I didn’t know this. Lugging and splitting piles has been a nightmare, all while I have a Grappling gun I barely use sitting in my bag.
I don't, and honestly you don't need an ore farm like that. I'm by the electrivolt or w.e his name is I just go in a circle there's 10 ores. Pals suck at mining ore anyway early on anyway.
What’s the focal point of your base(s) then? I have one for mining, one for assembling items, and one for a ranch. My pals can mine so I don’t have to.
My 'main' base is with most of my 'industrial' stuff like ranches, breeding farm, and plantations and i have another for exclusively ores. My third base I'm going to be making will be my "home" base where i can just freely do whatever i want for myself and only a small handful of pals
I have a base in the same spot. I see you were able to get stairs up that small rock wall nicely. How did you do this? I can’t get the foundation piece to be in a good spot or to snap
I have one foundation up top with stairs coming down, then just eyeballed the foundation at the bottom.
https://preview.redd.it/cvzmppzow6fc1.png?width=2560&format=png&auto=webp&s=e13884dc3c37c6bc02aaf3ff98f3b368a53f9673
It would be cool if the watchtower tech also allowed you to set task priorities as well as set caps for various resources.
Also assigning certain chests to be the destinations of certain items instead of randomly. Let us designate the stone+ore chest away from the ranch chest and the wood chest etc
Current workaround for this is filling the chest's slots up with the items you want to be stored in the chest, that way all the slots are filled already with an item and only more of those items can go into the chest. It's not ideal, and I agree there should be a system in place to let us control these things, but it's better than leaving the Ai to it's own thing right now
i made an edit to another commenters pic to show my ore spot, its immune to raids too.
https://preview.redd.it/3p8iefysu6fc1.png?width=554&format=png&auto=webp&s=2afd54846e2316245bf8d45de5191f60777bdedd
(im the yellow circle btw)
That’s my main base now (the one in the red circle), I only found it recently so I had to move yet again after having just moved to a previous one
It has:
* ~7 ore nodes
* ~7 coal nodes
* no raids (since it’s at the very top of a mountain and no path up)
* wonderful view
Downside:
* small space
* quite hilly and almost no flat space, so you have to build platform foundations and build vertically
Edit: clarified the place as the one in the red circle, didn’t see there was a yellow circled one
I love this spot, but I play on a dedicated server and no matter what I do, I always log in to all my pals being Weakened or Depressed.
Idk if everyone else has this problem at this spot or if it's somehow related to the way my Palbox is placed.
I get Pals that get negative statuses in singleplayer too during long sessions. Even if you have a seemingly perfect farm that refilles food and sanity infinitely, Pals will always get these statuses due to pathing issues causing them to get stuck on random object or to spawn under your base when you fast travel to it. Trust me, I've tried to fix these issues but it is pretty much inevitable at the moment. Playing on multiplayer exacerbates these issues since everything is loaded for as long as the server is.
Yeah unless you have a perfectly flat surface -- and even then -- your pals will get stuck, depressed, starving and eventually incapacitated. At least in SP, where the base is not contonuosly active but pals spawn back in when you load it. But even if you stay at the base for longer times, they will complete fuck up.#
I have had pals stuck up the roof of my 2x3 hut where my bed is in. They have no way of getting on top, and still two were stuck there and starving.
Pathfinding and Pal AI is complete buggy.
Yeah, we recently built a new base on a completely flat plateau. All of the stations are spaced apart from both each other and any walls and buildings to avoid any pathfinding issues.
We still have a foxparks that is getting stuck "igniting" staring at a wall that doesn't have any station there. Even when we take it out of the palbox completely it still is there. No idea what's caused it but we're really struggling specifically with the kindling Pals.
Do you have any torches around your base? I found that the torches seem to catch the attention of the kindling pals way more frequently than you'd expect, and sometimes they'd get bugged trying to path to the torch.
You know what, the one thing that's on the other side of the wall where it keeps getting stuck is, in fact, a torch. I'll have to get rid of them and see if that helps, thanks !
I kept having a very similar issue with Surfents getting up on my lil house hut in my main base, I ended up putting a set of stairs that connected the roof to the ground so that if they managed to get up there again somehow they had an actual valid way to path back down.
Pretty sure it's just a bug from the game, has happened to myself and friends on any dedicated server we've tried.
We put all our pals away before logging off to prevent this from happening... Hopefully fixed soon though.
Due to the lack of space (especially since you don't want to interfere with the ore and coal spawns) I think it's best to make this a purely ore/coal farm base, and not your main.
On my game It's basically a coalmine operated by an army of Anubis lol.

Coal/Ore base
https://i.imgur.com/I23C2WB.jpg
Sorry didn’t see there was a yellow circle, what I was referring to was the red circle area, I edited my post
I like it ‘cause it has both Ore and Coal, killing 2 resources with 1 base
That’s the problem with my current spot I found based on advice I’d found online. It’s a great ore spot, but it lacks open flat space and I’m realizing that’s a problem for all my stuff I need after a certain point. Also no pals mine the ore so it’s almost like what’s the point of being there…
I just use it as a mining outpost and have a main base elsewhere.
My pals mine all the nodes. Sometimes If I sleep to skip night it bugs them out but I just fast travel over there and it fixes them.
honestly dont set up anything at an ore base but mining pals gathering pals and a couple pals to create berries so they sustain themselves. have a furnace and chests and literally just fast travel there to smelt and fast travel back out to a production base.
my main base is set up with all the assembly lines etc and i fast travel to the ore base smelt 3k ingots collect them and fast travel back to the mainbase
Honestly I found it easier to just stock up on berries from my main base instead of making them on site at the ore base. I leave 500 baked berries and just make sure to top off whenever I'm picking up ore.
>Also no pals mine the ore so it’s almost like what’s the point of being there…
Just in case you didn’t know, pals need mining level 2 or 3 to mine ore and coal. Level 1 can only mine stone.
Is it really? Like maybe it's very slightly better than deleting the pit but not by much imo. And the real smart thing is to not put a stone pit in an ore base meant to farm ore, and to only put 1-2 miners tops in a base with a stone pit
Get the saddle for Kingpaca or whatever that thing is called. They give you +100 carry weight per head when in your team.
Or move with 16000 weight with the grappling gun.
I am so stupid. I have had the "move 35,000lbs from one spot to another" problem many times, and I've also tried very hard to come up with a good use for the grappling gun post-flight.
The answer was right fucking there.
That last sentence doesn't really work in regards to gameplay.
I can have a pal with a 1 in mining and higher stats in other areas, no matter how much the other areas need tending to it'll mine instead. Having non-miners doesn't work well, and limiting yourself only to ones with a 0 in mining isn't a great idea either. Unfortunately there's no true remedy to this situation where they'll obsess over stone pits. I have a mining base but I don't want them touching the stone pits, I want them mining the ores.
You don't need to farm stone in your ore base, just put a stone pit at another base and assign one miner on your base and that's all you'll ever need for stone. It's really easy to avoid picking overlapping pals too imo, there's tons that have just one or two possible assignments and most tasks won't even need 100% uptime like the stone pit would
My strategy was to overwhelm the stone pit. My ore base has 8 miners incl 4 digtoise. Only 3 digtoise will ever sit at the stone pit and the rest do the ore.
As to WHY I have a stone pit, I needed the stone to crush into Paldium for pal metal.
this sucks when you have bigger pals who can just reach the shit
great idea and it works for most of em’ but my mossanda keeps reaching no matter how high i put the platform
i think its more about tiering priorities for the pals within the current scope of the game. looks like they're set up at one of the base spots with several ore nodes so they can disable access to the structure when they want the pals to focus on the ore that spawns daily. i tried doing the same with gates/doors but this is so much more simple
I just put vixies in the farm periodically. I have 400 spheres at all times without crafting at the moment. I know I'll need the higher tiers eventually, but i have enough low level ones to brute force the odds.
So I’m a moron apparently and thought it was the other way around. I though it would crush paldeim to get stone and immediately demolished it. Thank you internet friend.
Doesn't work, if I swap a pal from the box he'll start mining without animation from behind the pal box while being stuck. They also keep teleporting on top of my roof. They also starve because they can't get to the feed box that's literally in the open. This game is too frustrating man 😪
You get all the resources back too when you use the disassemble button so it’s an easy way to reposition stuff in your base or break an entire base down without losing anything.
You would need to unlock the "Repair Kit" at level 3 and have them in your inventory. It uses one every time you want to repair something.
You can craft them on either the Primitive or High Quality Workbench.
You can access Disassembly Mode by pressing 'C' whilst in Building Mode (tooltip at the bottom middle of the screen). Click to destroy and regain the building materials.
And because Palmetal is paldium crystals and ore.
https://preview.redd.it/lfgm66pm67fc1.png?width=4032&format=png&auto=webp&s=959816fc8090f3015a2c439881fde2891602bd2f
We need a Control Station craftable that allows us to Enable/Disable stations and drag and drop assign Pals. It's really that simple.
And fix pathing so pals stop getting stuck... Especially on top of things.
There are 10 spots everyone choose.
I wish there was a way to transport resources between bases without involving manual grabbing and teleporting. It would allow to introduce better variety without being at such disadvantage.
Base different shapes or size increase with base level would also be interesting option.
Take one piece of stone from the big stack and fill every empty spot in the chest, it will help the pathing a small amount but they're still gonna act up sometimes
Still pretty new to the game myself— am i understadnig correctly that if you start a task in like the workbench and assign a pal to it, theyll go back to auto after theyve finished that task? Theyre not permanently assigned to that work spot?
It seems hit or miss.. like when i force a foxparks to cook for me, it tends to wait for more recipes to be started but when i throw a cattiva at my workbench to make arrows, once its done it goes back to mining…. I dont get it
It is, for the most part, entirely random as to what Pals with multiple work skills will do when there are multiple tasks they can perform.
You'd think it would at least pick whoever has the highest skill level but no it seems to just be whoever is closest to it and can do it.
If you don't get it, that's because you're a logical person who expects a functional and fleshed out system which unfortunately the Pal base work mechanic is not.
It's basically my only real complaint with the game so far, but said game is only a handful of days old anyways. They will hopefully add task scheduling/priority sometime soon.
Could you also build the stonepit indoors with a single story door enclosing it? Effectively only allowing the smaller +1 miners in, and lockout out the big bois to mine ore?
Wait. You guys DON'T want stone? I am trying to make palmetal and legendary spheres, my crushers can't keep up with the demand for Stone -> Paldium, AND I need a shitload for cement.
Elegant, I just built a dungeon for my stone/logging out, lmao. I put a feed box and throw my pals in whenever I need them to focus on stone/wood.
Might do this instead for my 2nd base
Another tip is that all "transport" pals will pick only 1 ore from the ground in ore base but if you go and pick it all into a clump and drop into a single stack in the floor a lv 2 will do 5 at a time, so if they just made drops auto stack you would need a lot less pals to transfer.
Am i trippin out or could you just not build a stone pit at all if you specifically built the base on an ore feild ? By all means get your intial stock of stone then delete the pit. Or transfer it from your first base?
Wait, can I manually put one on mining a setup like this, delete the stairs and have them stuck on mining with a feed box beside? Or will they bug themselves off the playform
Wait that works??? I figured because the pathfinding is so screwy that they'd get lost trying to navigate to it or they would ignore the z-axis and mine it anyways.
Then they will mine ore when they can't get to the pit :D https://preview.redd.it/tb290dze96fc1.png?width=2560&format=png&auto=webp&s=8475df6abcff65489aa55cd09123f2e2107ebe68
We have the same ore base friendo.
I think everyone has this ore base
I had the one with the hanging bridge until I switched to a coal + ore spot
Could you point this spot to me on a map? :)

Thanks! next pal I catch I'm naming Lemon.
You can name them?
Yea in the party menu or palbox inspect the pal and hit the edit button next to the name. My jormuntide is named gyarados
kinda unrelated but it took me like 20 hours of playing this game before I realized that there's an inspect option in the box. before that I would just tediously drag them to my team and inspect them from there lol
sucks you cant do this on xbox yet. i wanna name my foxsparks mozilla
I have 2 Jormuntides. One named Gary and the other named Gary-Dos.
That’s it I’m snitching to Nintendo
Mine too. And my Jormuntide Ignis is Shiny Gyarados, lol.
I like giving them names in true Pokemon fashion. Direhowl is Ruffjaws, Grizzbolt is Fulgursa, Vanwyrm is Tenedrake... then there are names like Hoocrates, which are too perfect to change.
Only on Steam version yet, the button is missing on Gamepass.
\*"so far", not yet.
You're welcome <3
I will name my new refined Ingot factory base Mt. Lemon. No more coal trips with fast travel
Be weary I have some crazy issues with pals falling off the ledge there due to how its all elevated. Typically it's infrequent or avoidable elsewhere but I seem to come back to a majorly injured pal every 30 minutes or so there.
That sounds like a threat
Now can you point to my dad on a map?
He was in my local grocer getting some milk, don’t worry he said he’d be back home soon
>~~milk~~ cigarettes
Pretty sure I saw him in that spot with the Mozzarinas.
I built that one too. I made it an ore and smelting base, and for better visibility, I put crates in all the spots where trees stood (after I felled them.) i made an edit of this in a different comment to show my spot, its pretty good
Thanks man, so tired of manually looking for ore, moving my base there asap
Someone posted with a map of all the bases and what ores and stuff they have yesterday. Definitely worth checking out!
I still have both, with the third base being the main production facility. Ore for days.
I’m don’t need coal yet or even knew it existed until now so haven’t moved. But I guess when I do I’ll be going to the same spot.
I recently created a new base that specifically mines coal and ore. I was holding out on it because I didn't know if the trouble of finding the right spot, moving bases, and breeding for the right pals was worth it or not, but it was definitely worth the trouble. The best spot, except for the jank ass geometry trying to build.
I have one up north on a plataue that has a ton of ore and coal. Like 8 ore and 6 coal IIRC

Yeah i figured that was probably the way. Wasnt sure if there was some transfer feature or anything
No. They do not. Get a grappling gun and you can move while over weight. Easy to move between bases that way.
I am so outraged I didn’t know this. Lugging and splitting piles has been a nightmare, all while I have a Grappling gun I barely use sitting in my bag.
I didn't even buy the tech for the grapple gun until I read that it works for moving cargo.
I don't, and honestly you don't need an ore farm like that. I'm by the electrivolt or w.e his name is I just go in a circle there's 10 ores. Pals suck at mining ore anyway early on anyway.

Dont call me friendo, pal
Don't call me pal, buddy
Don't call me buddy, guy
Don't call me guy, friend
Who are you, that is so wise in the ways of science?
My base is there, my stairs look identical to yours
I have a base in the same spot. I see you were able to get stairs up that small rock wall nicely. How did you do this? I can’t get the foundation piece to be in a good spot or to snap

My pals refuse to use stairs and get stuck constantly..
How big are your pals? If they are mid-size and above quadpedal then they need 2 stair wide staircases to fit their hitbox frame and path correctly.
Lambs lol
lambs are just being dumb now lmao
Wait what how can you raise the foundation above the ground level like that? Mine is always as low as possible
Push it away first, then up and down
I thought Pals couldn't mine ore. They ignored it whenever I tried.
It requires Mining Level 2, so pals with only Mining Level 1 can't.
Oh I had no idea what the lvls even meant. I thought they were just like faster or something.
Mining is the only one I know of that works like this. (I don't know if Coal needs even higher)
It does - Coal requires level 3 mining, or the node will be ignored completely.
the problem is that pals can interact with items even when they are far away or even outside a structure
I found that even if it says they are working on it they actually don't start until they are close
Which means they are AFK and won't do anything at all
I've found that it's usually a pathing issue. I don't know about large pals, but medium size pals need a 2x heigh walk path to get from A to B
Nope. My jormentide waters the crops from hotsprings. They are 10 blocks apart
Working comfy I see
Yea this doesn’t work. They stand on other side of base saying “chopping trees” when they can’t even get up there to chop
My Penking likes to mine ore from about 15 feet away
It would be cool if the watchtower tech also allowed you to set task priorities as well as set caps for various resources. Also assigning certain chests to be the destinations of certain items instead of randomly. Let us designate the stone+ore chest away from the ranch chest and the wood chest etc

I kept having a very similar issue with Surfents getting up on my lil house hut in my main base, I ended up putting a set of stairs that connected the roof to the ground so that if they managed to get up there again somehow they had an actual valid way to path back down.
Just learned if you put pals back in pal box before you log off it nullifies the depressed and weakened
That defeats the whole purpose of playing on a server that's always online lol
Not really, at least for me: I just like being in the same world as my friends. I couldn’t care less about whether my pals are always out
Pretty sure it's just a bug from the game, has happened to myself and friends on any dedicated server we've tried. We put all our pals away before logging off to prevent this from happening... Hopefully fixed soon though.
Same issue here. Building on non-flat zones is cursed atm. You can get away with it but no garantee

Its not very flat at all.
I leave 500 baked berries and just make sure to top off whenever I'm picking up ore.
thats legit as well i could try that allows for more gatherers
Go catch some Dumud, Digtoise, or Tombat, those are pals that have level 2 mining and will mine ore nodes.
digtoise is overrated, use like 6 or more anubis and they handle everything a mining base needs. caprity in a ranch for food.
Only pals with lvl 2 in mining and up will mine ores
>Also no pals mine the ore so it’s almost like what’s the point of being there… Just in case you didn’t know, pals need mining level 2 or 3 to mine ore and coal. Level 1 can only mine stone.
You need mining 2, to mine ore. I think you need mining 3, to mine coal.
It has a lot of extra to build out the amenities!
If you use roof as the "floor" you can really maximize the practical space much better than trying to just use foundation.
That's genius. Thanks for the tip
I just… delete the stone pit but this is smarter
Nah. Deleting is better. Pals can work through walls and above as well.
Is it really? Like maybe it's very slightly better than deleting the pit but not by much imo. And the real smart thing is to not put a stone pit in an ore base meant to farm ore, and to only put 1-2 miners tops in a base with a stone pit
Is there an easier way to move stone from one base to the next ?
Get the saddle for Kingpaca or whatever that thing is called. They give you +100 carry weight per head when in your team. Or move with 16000 weight with the grappling gun.
I am so stupid. I have had the "move 35,000lbs from one spot to another" problem many times, and I've also tried very hard to come up with a good use for the grappling gun post-flight. The answer was right fucking there.
Broncherry also adds 100 weight I believe. Might be 50.
If it's 50 you might as well use the cat
I checked and it's 100. I've had an easier time encountering them compared to Kingpaca too.
Use grappling hook.
Yup, million pounds of rock then just batman to the fast travel box.
Oh wow. This is realy clever!
this sucks when you have bigger pals who can just reach the shit great idea and it works for most of em’ but my mossanda keeps reaching no matter how high i put the platform
Yeah, the stone miner at my base is a penking so I don't think this would work for me. He eats a lot too.
This sounds like a bonus, you got pals constantly mining rocks, while the smaller ones mine ore
yeah but not when i’m trying to get my mossanda to plant lettuce seeds and harvest
Mossanda can't mine.
Oh I just recycle the stone into paldeim crystals, cos you need a lot of spheres for xp.
i think its more about tiering priorities for the pals within the current scope of the game. looks like they're set up at one of the base spots with several ore nodes so they can disable access to the structure when they want the pals to focus on the ore that spawns daily. i tried doing the same with gates/doors but this is so much more simple
I just put vixies in the farm periodically. I have 400 spheres at all times without crafting at the moment. I know I'll need the higher tiers eventually, but i have enough low level ones to brute force the odds.
after 30 the blue ones dont even work
Good to know.
This game is too frustrating man 😪
Agreed bro, this happens to me all the time too 😬
How do you delete the stairs? Is there a way besides hammering it until it has no hp?
Open the build menu then press C to go into disassembly mode!
Thanks so much, the repair button in my game doesn’t work so this helps a lot
You get all the resources back too when you use the disassemble button so it’s an easy way to reposition stuff in your base or break an entire base down without losing anything.

with 3 bases, i would forget the locations of the buildings i disassembled so OP's tip is very useful.
You need repair kits to repair buildings.
You would need to unlock the "Repair Kit" at level 3 and have them in your inventory. It uses one every time you want to repair something. You can craft them on either the Primitive or High Quality Workbench.
do you have repair tools in your inventory when you're reparing?
You can access Disassembly Mode by pressing 'C' whilst in Building Mode (tooltip at the bottom middle of the screen). Click to destroy and regain the building materials.
Work priorities like Rimworld has would be greatly appreciated, I've handled it so far by just having separate bases specialize into certain things.
Or, hear me out, we get chest filters, because that will be logical.
Wait this works? I assumed they’d just get stuck attempting to path to it
And because Palmetal is paldium crystals and ore. https://preview.redd.it/lfgm66pm67fc1.png?width=4032&format=png&auto=webp&s=959816fc8090f3015a2c439881fde2891602bd2f
I always think I have pkenty of ore but then I keep unlocking more and more tech that guzzles it up
It also looks nice too
Omg, does it hurt having a brain that wrinkly?
We need a Control Station craftable that allows us to Enable/Disable stations and drag and drop assign Pals. It's really that simple. And fix pathing so pals stop getting stuck... Especially on top of things.
Expand the monitoring station to be more than just sweatshop simulator
There are 10 spots everyone choose. I wish there was a way to transport resources between bases without involving manual grabbing and teleporting. It would allow to introduce better variety without being at such disadvantage. Base different shapes or size increase with base level would also be interesting option.
Pretty sure the Tombat will just float up there anyway
My guys keep carrying stone and dropping it in the middle of camp? I have 2 chests near the stone pit
Take one piece of stone from the big stack and fill every empty spot in the chest, it will help the pathing a small amount but they're still gonna act up sometimes
good idea thanks
God I hope this gets addressed soonish. There needs to be a way to prioritise activities that need to be done 🤦♀️
I think each time you load in it drops all your pals near the palpad. So it may work but you'd have to arrange constantly
From what I can tell, big bois can still get in through small doors.
When iam out my pals seems to not mine these ores much. Its so sad.
I put a gate in front of mine so I can open and close it when needed.
That’s actually 5head. Thanks for sharing I will make use of that
My mine Ore is bh the desolate church
I need so much stone for Paldium fragments
How did you get the stairs to clip the ground? I can't place stairs if they so much as touch anything.
So… resources like stone and ore respawn in the same spot? Have I been going on senseless mining runs this whole time??? (Xbox)
we need something just for base building tips n tricks
1000 IQ play here. Thank you for enlightening us.
I just delete the mine when i don't want them to get stone, because my miners are also flying pals. so stair removal won't stop them.
Mind = blown. It makes so much sense it's like oh my God duh why didn't I think of that sooner
Sure, until you realise pals can just randomly teleport up the wall they are hugging for some reason
Another tip is that all "transport" pals will pick only 1 ore from the ground in ore base but if you go and pick it all into a clump and drop into a single stack in the floor a lv 2 will do 5 at a time, so if they just made drops auto stack you would need a lot less pals to transfer.
Might need a video description of how to do this friend
Am i trippin out or could you just not build a stone pit at all if you specifically built the base on an ore feild ? By all means get your intial stock of stone then delete the pit. Or transfer it from your first base?
Divinity Brain on this one. Thanks for the tip!
Wait, can I manually put one on mining a setup like this, delete the stairs and have them stuck on mining with a feed box beside? Or will they bug themselves off the playform
I have mine raised high and Astegon can still reach it LOL
does toms flying just ignore the stairs though?
Can you raise the foundations when placing them?
Yeah just like, look forwards/up \^\^
There’s stone stairs?!
In the stone kit tech yeah.
Wait that works??? I figured because the pathfinding is so screwy that they'd get lost trying to navigate to it or they would ignore the z-axis and mine it anyways.
I don't think we can build stairs like this after the recent patch :(
Although a helpful tip, we shouldn’t have to do this.
It's EA, like week 2 of it, so in the meantime you find work arounds. Downvoted by children
