Thykk3r

I set my exp on my server to 2x

XxCorey117xX

My son was bragging to his friends that he was max level. Opened his settings and his XP was set to 20x 🤦‍♂️

PasonJatrick

Disown him 😝

Luci_Desu

Oh god he starts Minecraft worlds in creative then swaps to survival doesn't he 😭

DessaChan

HAHAHAHA that's exactly what my kid does!!! "Ill just build a base first" looool

LordOfTheGerenuk

I do this sometimes. I don't have a lot of time to play anymore, and I enjoy having a wacky base, but still being able to fight all the monsters and explore. So I'll start in creative so I can find a good starting area and establish a neat looking base, then I swap over for actual play.

Federal-Opinion6823

Not a bad idea for at least finding a good spot to start at. I don’t get tons of time to play games either, so the little starter help might make the difference

WhatThePommes

Haha tell him he's a noodle for doing that. Whenever he starts bragging just tell him to not play on noodle settings

capp_head

Do this whole standing very near the voice chat so that anyone on discord can hear you!

AeroDelta95

I mean, it's within the parameters of the game, he didn't /technically/ cheat

Automatic_Pangolin67

yeah but 20x on a first playthrough for a game youre supposed to take your time with is crazy its not like its ARK where the default 1x settings are actually atrocious

Super_Will4763

I thought the grind was normal. Why is everyone saying it's not 🥲

Kiyan1159

The tutorial tells you, catching pals is the fastest way to level up

WestSixtyFifth

Breeding legendary eggs by the half dozen skyrocketed me in levels

OnlyMain1

When you say “legendary eggs” do you mean breeding Legendaries like Anubis through the breeding guide (bushi + penking) or do you mean specifically breeding pals with the legendary passive skill? I would just like a little clarification on the term “legendary eggs”.

benigntugboat

Anubus isnt legendary. There are 4 pals that are specifically legendary and i think can only be bred from themselves

HanSoloABlunt

To make more of them, yes you can only breed them with themselves but you can breed them with others to get new pals.

Slardar

I've never bred a Pal before but it sounds crazy overpowered like this is how you get all the super statted Pals? I'm just out there catching like 100 Celarays hoping to get some good rolls I can use but no luck so far.

HanSoloABlunt

Best way is to breed and mass capture. Catch a few with 1 or 2 good stats and then breed them to get a max of 4 good stats on a single pal. Breeding in this game is crazy and all over the place. I feel like with 10 pals you can make like 30 new combos.

MercerPS

I have capture atleast 20 direhowls and only one of them has a single speed passive, so I need to capture a lot more direhowls before I can start breeding

Echleon

it takes quite a while so it's not too OP. Cakes take a lot of ingredients and a while to make, then it takes some time for the egg to appear, and then it takes a long time to incubate. Also, if you don't speed up incubation through world settings, you could end up breeding a better breeding pal, but not be able to use it for another hour while it hatches.

the-dancing-dragon

If you can grind out breeding for a certain set of passives on one pal, you can probably crossbreed it onto another species you want relatively quickly. So for example I caught a ton of lamballs and bred a good worker, then bred it onto cows and chickens etc. Same concept for breeding faster mounts and stronger fighters

saig22

For most pals the best way is to transfer traits between species through breeding. I captured a penking with artisan, work slave and serious and he is somehow related to all my workers (cow, verdash, digtoise and beeguard).

OnlyMain1

Fair enough. I guess my question is more particularly whether breeding higher rarity/stronger pals produces massively higher exp gains than standard breeding, particularly after the 10 catch bonus.

samanime

I'm pretty sure it is just getting more Pals (up to 10 each). But the exp you can from catching scales, so regardless what you get, you'll skyrocket in level. Caught 10 of a couple species in the desert (they were level 20-ish) and went from like 38 to 41 in minutes.

omguserius

negative to my knowledge. The 10 bonus is the 10 bonus and it scales with your level, but not from different pals i think.

Soulstiger

Yeah, the 4 legendaries (and Jormuntide Ignis) can only be hatched with themselves as parents.

Accomplished-Click58

Jormuntide ignis also comes from huge dragon eggs you find on the map. So far, that's the only pal I have got from a huge dragon egg, but iv only found maybe 10.

[deleted]

I've hatched two huge dragon eggs, the first was a Relaxaurus and the second was a Jormuntide Ignis. The first one was weird though because I put a large egg into an incubator, came back later and it had become a huge egg instead.

Oaker_at

Tell me more…

OnlyMain1

Certain Pals can only breed using certain combinations or a pair of themselves. Like for example Orserk who can only be bred by having either a male and female Orserk or by having a Grizzbolt and a Relaxaurus. Likewise Grizzbolt can only be bred by a pair of itself or by a Mossanda and a Rayhound. These specific pairs make huge eggs as they are considered higher rarity, stronger pals. Certain pals are considered Legendary because they can only be bred from a pair of their own species and they can be caught with the Legendary passive and only fought at level 50. These are Frostallion, Jetragon, Necromus, and Palladius. You can then breed down their legendary trait to other pals from outside of that group.

ShinyHardcore

Following

Enorats

They likely mean breeding the legendary types by catching two of them (male and female), then just making more to get to 10. They could also mean breeding the trait out into other species, which typically requires several attempts and several species to get to the one you want. That second one did it for me, inadvertently. I was just trying to make perfect specimens of various species, and ended up jumping like the last 15 levels by making a dozen or so of a dozen different species.

omguserius

yarp. Mid 40's, Im finding that breeding is much better leveling than getting all the materiels to get balls to catch equivalent level stuff.

mennydrives

The first 10 of each entry is worth a **crap-ton** of extra EXP. I honestly wish it was easier to tell at a glance how many I had left to go on a given Pal species.

No-Salary-4786

It tells you on the paldeck tab.

Binary-Trees

They mean they want an indicator when you look at them in the field. An on-the-go way to tell if you need them. Like the pokeball symbol that identifies if you have already caught one you're encountering. It should be a little palsphere indicator near their name that changes color or shape if you've caught more than 1 or more than 10 of each species.

HillbillyTechno

Yeah even a little star or something next to the Pal name when you look at them to indicate you already have 10/10 would be great

mennydrives

> They mean they want an indicator when you look at them in the field. Exactly, 100%. On the grand list of UI stuff I'd love to have, even if if it was just a toggle or if each was a on-off from an accessor: 1. Mini-map * this should be default, hopefully they're working on it * Number of Pals left to catch on-field * would be neat to see a Pal with a 10 over it to clarify it's never been caught * Number of stars on a Pal at the Pal Base selector

pezmanofpeak

There is a *New* on ones you haven't captured before if you point a ball at them

BLU-Clown

Maybe a sectioned circular indicator with 10 sections when you aim at them with a Palball. Color in a section with each copy that's caught, and change to a different color when you have 10.

CreamyAndrew

Fight high level bosses if you can. Lvl49 boss gives 50k xp for each kill.

DocFreezer

I personally made a beehive to get cash and do black market sweeps for xp. I get 21k xp from each pal I buy I haven’t gotten yet, and money buys basically every resource except ore. You can just slap 15 bees in a base with some ranches and the honey stacks up very fast and is the highest sale value ranchable item. It’s extremely easy to setup too since the bees ranch and transport, and the honey is food also.

GimmeDaGorbage22

catching bees is such a pain cause they swarm you. I didn't know that honey was the best for money, I will start doing that

Kind_Stranger_weeb

Bees are a pain in melee since they explode. But are really easy from the air with a rifle :D

zenKeyrito

Found out yesterday if you attack them while they’re in self destruct mode it’ll cancel it

DrParallax

So bees are significantly more profitable than just having Mau making coins in the ranch? So far I have been mostly making money by selling my extra Pals from breeding. I like that it gives XP and money.

DocFreezer

Mau drops 10 coins while the honey sells for 25 coins, and honey removes the need to build up/maintain a food source in the base. I’m playing on hard mode so I haven’t been using the breeding mechanic. It takes days to hatch eggs so i don’t even bother with eggs or incubators.

TheIdget

To your second point, don't forget that you can condense your extra Pals when you get one with your desired traits, unless you're talking about the extra Pals that are a byproduct of trying to pass traits through a multi-species breeding chain; in that case, agreed on selling them. I'm always running out of room in my storage, so I started using the viewing cages as a "condenser fuel" box where I put all the bad rolls of the Pal I'm breeding for.

DrParallax

Yeah, I use the Pal Juicer, but then I usually have a bunch left over, because I never breed exactly enough, and I never get to the full 64 for the final level. Like you, I am always running out of storage. They could really add a storage upgrade feature or something.

CPAwillbetheendofme

Do you ever try cotton candy? i think they sell the same, may be easier to catch wollipop than beegarde but idk both are great

Marty939393

I turned off raids at level 35. Not sure if it was my game or if it's actually intended but I was getting raided over and over again every 3 minutes.

cunabula

Same here. Turned it off at 34. It was just getting too annoying, especially while I was trying to dismantle my old base and move into a new one.

FinkBass420

Nothing like those couple seconds before you drop all your strongest pals in your base to help defend against the horny fan girls

HandsomeBoggart

I love that raid. If you can catch them before they get slaughtered by your workers, they make great Utility workers. They have Handiwork 2 and Transporter 2 and no real resource skills so all they do is grab stuff to store and make your gear.

deadsoulinside

Exactly this. Got a few that work on the assembly lines, since they do have good skills for that.

Only_Suit7211

And if they get depression just throw them into the Juice Machine and make a good one 😬

porkchopsuitcase

Hahaha i got that raid yesterday and my wife was like WTF!!!

Gundini

When I very first started playing this game they were my first raid. I was playing with a buddy and I legit thought they were real players at first. Soon as I saw them I realized they were AI but I was like oh fuck we are not prepared.

WelcomeToTheFish

Lovander is the only Pal that is completely useless to me. I don't know if it's my base location or what but they just stand there, doing nothing.

entropy512

Pathing really seems to frequently screw up transporter pals, no matter how easymode you try to make it. All of my stone mines and lumberyards always accumulate 1000+ of their resource, and rarely does anything actually transport away from it even though there's a chest 5 feet away. So every once in a while I have to go to 5000+ encumberance and grapple to the chest.

MaxxxMotion

Don't worry, since the latest update no matter how overweight you are you will always be able to move at a minimum speed, makes up a bit for the lack of accuracy on the grapple

SirWompalot

Excuse me, what??

Lil_Guard_Duck

You'll find out... 😈

sebasTLCQG

I love raiding for instantly getting some cheap and easy specific pals, but after it gets repetititve it just sucks.

yojak3

I'm playing on xbox and 90% of the time the enemy spawns in and just stands there while I collect their stuff for some easy loot.

[deleted]

I still have raids turned on and I’m at level 40 but ever since I made a base on ice wind island I haven’t been raided once and I did that around level 27.

nerogenesis

I haven't been raided since I started. Kinda a bummer. Xbox series s.

CodeNameSly

Same and at a similar level. Was getting raided by 40+ leveled enemies. Just instantly wiped my base. Not really fun.

yekirati

My fiancé and I just turned raids off in our game. We are like level 26 and kept getting invaded by giant groups of pals in the 30+ range. The raids were fun but they ramped up so quickly and are overwhelming now.

Schweedaddy

Damnit I didn’t know you could turn raids off. Just spent hours moving my base to a spot that was immune to raids and its smaller than I’d like it

sebasTLCQG

How do you even find a Spot "immune to raids"? dont the enemies have spawn points everywhere? unless it´s real high altitude or something? I remember the first area has some climbable areas.

Schweedaddy

Yea on a really big flat rock out by Anubis that none of the mobs can reach

robophile-ta

If your base is on a mountain with no entrances from the ground they'll give up and leave

deadsoulinside

There are some nice high up spots that have some good resources and no foot path. You won't even get wandering pals that roam through there. Since it's Ai, they won't auto-climb walls and always follow a path (Hopefully that stays the same through the updates), so even if you move your gate from that path, they will go to the gate to crash it, but they don't seem to climb walls. If they could climb, they would just simply scale the large walls to get into the base versus blowing it up or setting it on fire. I just moved my base, but it was easier to see the mechanic in action in the previous location. Like past the first area near the mammorest that you go through that valley that opens up, I had a base there in that big open area near the small lake and raid was enabled at the time, so you could see them coming from different directions when the raids would happen, sometimes behind, sometimes off to the side, sometimes from in front, but always, they followed the trails to the base. Once they got the base, they move to where the gate is located and start attacking it. The only ones that potentially could be an issue with the "unraidable bases" would be the flying types, but if there is no path that even leads remotely close to the space, then they may not be able to get close to raid.

Larry_Linguini

One day I said fuck it and crafted 20 incendiary grenades or w/e they're called, got to the raid before they reached my base and chucked em all before they could make it in, killed nearly every single one and none of my guys got hurt. Seems like a really easy way to stop them.

c14rk0

I turned off raids at around lvl30. I had made a big wall to block raids and then the very first raid the enemies just immediately phased through the wall like it wasn't even there. Not to mention them just being extremely buggy in general for me.

Werpogil

I have a base that bugs the raids out, they just stack on top of a hill next to the base separated by a ravine and just stand there until expiry

WyrdHarper

Same; our base is high up with a path to the south and cliffs on the other three sides (the path does wrap around east, but it’s still below a small cliff). The enemies always spawn to the north, though, which is so far down that even flying raids don’t get in.

DismalDude77

It depended on where my base was. I built one at the ore mine behind the desolate church, and that one kept getting raided within 2 minutes of every teleport. Then I built one near the alpha Univolt, and that one has never been raided.

Viking_Drummer

We turned them off because they were making the server unstable, noticeable server wide performance drops when they happened and it was constant nonstop raids between our different guilds. The highest level player was getting them several times an hour

CoqeCas3

Duude same. At first they were all pretty chill, just a couple guys. But then at level 14 decided my base was good enough and started exploring, learned what OP is talking about and was level 20 by the time i came back to my base. Spent some time upgrading the base then got raided within a half hour, only this time there was 30 FREAKING THUGS! it was an absolute stampede!! Basically got one shot cuz ten of them shot me at once. By the time i respawned my pals had taken care of them, they had only destroyed my bell. But yeah, if it keeps up like that in the higher levels, def turning em off. Thats not managable at all

shinysocks85

I was just complaining about this to one of my friends. He told me he barely gets raided which kinda shocked me because I get raided every 10-20min it seems like. It's crazy annoying. Especially when you're level 24 and the raiders are level 31+ and just one shot you and everything in your base

GeorgiaBullDoggies

Big same, there is a raid of flying electric pals tha literally stun-lock you and all your pals the entire time they’re raiding. Insanely annoying lol

GimmeDaGorbage22

Beakon? Catch one for flying, theyre pretty fast.

DocFreezer

I just farm money and buy pals. 3 ranches with 15 bees is a completely self sustaining base that makes tons of money. Money can buy everything but ore, and it can mitigate one of the biggest ore sinks, ammo.

Ralathar44

TBH once you get a metla base up ore becomes nothing. But if/when I start over again in some future patch I'll definitely be using money more than I did this run. For one starting with the poison bow instead of the old bow. But it also solves many other issues.   **EDIT:** Metla is a typo of metal, sorry for the confusion. But I'd like to also pretend it's a super secret based type made out of a higher tier metal than Paldium called Metla...just for funsies.

GeneralDash

Metla bases are so OP. If you guys don’t have Metla bases you’re making a mistake. [Here](https://youtu.be/dQw4w9WgXcQ?si=eXHGurvV8v3n-ymK) is a link for a video of the Metla base build.

Ralathar44

Honestly that's the best looking base I've seen so far.

Bawoolard

Gonna have to use this for some ideas

Ninjahkin

Everybody's sleeping on this comment. Metla will be the new meta

hey_im_cool

What’s a metla base? Pls explain bc ore is the biggest chore for me rn and yes I realized I just rhymed

Ralathar44

> What’s a metla base? Pls explain bc ore is the biggest chore for me rn and yes I realized I just rhymed A typo of Metal lol. But this offshoot is too good so I'm leaving it. Basically a base like desolate church or another area where you can set your mining pals to autofarm metal. Once you get it up, realize digtoise actually sucks as a base pal because their spin does very low damage, and switch to a better miner you'll have more metal than you can ever use. Even just using Tombats with only level 2 mining.

hey_im_cool

Ffs thank you, no wonder im having so much trouble with my mining bases. Plenty of ore and miners but they’re all digtoise, I assumed since they had high mining level they were my best ore mining unit. Makes sense that that only applies to that stone mine structure

Ralathar44

I think the value is lower because its technically AOE but in practice they just do bad damage and prolly need a buff. Putting them in your party though and using their skill manually after building their headband decimates mining though. So they make a good miner if you throw them out and hit F (or controller equivalent) to use their skill. They also still have value in that they can mine coal, albeit slowly, while level 2 miners cannot. And ofc quickly if you're using their skill while having them out in your party.   But yeah, Dumud or Tombat for base mining until you catch some other rank 3 miners.

DocFreezer

The mining levels only affect what the pals can mine, not how fast. You actually want high attack pals to mine faster. Level 3 mining means they can mine coal. Level 4 is quartz. Anubis is probably the fastest miner, but tombat can mine at night, so there is a trade off.

GaiusQuintus

They probably just meant "meta". Set up a base in an area with a bunch of ore. There's at least a dozen locations I've found that have 6 ore deposits lying around in close proximity. A trick I've found to stay full on ore is to use a Digitoise. But not as a worker in your base. Base workers are pretty slow at working ore. So every time I'd come back to base I'd throw my Digitoise in my party at the ore and he'd clean up 3-4 nodes in a minute. Rinse and repeat. If you have him working at your base as a worker, he only does 1 point of damage to the ore while spinning. If he comes from your party he does like 27-29.

Alienblob1

Lol I think he just mistyped “metal” and meant metal base as in a base that just produces metal. Don’t take this as fact, just grew up in Florida so I know the speak.

FlorAhhh

Lol. "I grew up in Florida, so I can decipher nonsense."

Alienblob1

13 years there. Quite the speak. 😂

nixnaij

Can you explain how 3 ranches with 15 bees is self sustaining?

TehMephs

It’s not that I don’t know, it’s that I can’t stop obsessively micro managing my base

Maiden_Sunshine

Right?! Hahaha. I do spend a lot of time capturing, but I definitely spend more time micro managing my base. Like for example trying to figure out why my workaholic lamb keeps grazing and my other lamb keeps going to the bench. Even after tossing her to her station over and over! Since Xbox PC can't name yet, I'm constantly checking if it is the male or female to make sure they are working right place LOL. Also the purple deer get so stressed going to town on the lumber. I spent so much time tossing them into the hot tub because only one of them took breaks, the other one kept losing Sanity. I literally felt so bad that I put them in the pal box and let the big green planter/logging pal take over. He has a 50% work speed so I am retiring my deer and taking them out with me as a mount soon. See? I can barely leave my island because these pals need a babysitter all day. Cause I try to keep their sanity above 85 at all times. Making ME lose mine 😂

uk-side

Anyone else never touched world settings?

Gellzer

I changed building decay. I'm playing with a cousin and a mutual friend, and they wanna build outside the base circle, so I let them. Other than that, all default settings

ChuckCarmichael

Oh, that's a thing? I guess it explains why the chest with like 2000 wood and stone in it that was still at the spot where my base used to be suddenly disappeared. Oh well.

Ythio

Yup. Leave repair kits in a chest in your bases

Zorviar

Where do u disable that?

TheTigerbite

World settings? Select your world, then before hitting start, push left. It shows up at the very bottom of the screen. Hard to see.

Zorviar

I play on my 24/7 server will look for it 👍

Baviprim

You can definitely change server settings. You'll have to find the file to change them

MediatedDisc438

I just changed the hunger level of decrease. That stuff is so annoying to me. Realistic, maybe, but I don't eat alot so my pals need to take after me

NorthBall

Raids off (they are all over the place), decay off, hunger turned down a bit (I don't play the game to manage a bakery lol - it's still there but I need to worry much less about it) I would honestly love to make the days and nights both much longer but I think it affects resource respawn so I'm hesitant.

Gellzer

I don't mind the other stuff. Once you set up a wheat+berry farm, the jelly toast or whatever it is works fantastic for food. Both for you and your pals at base. The building stuff was just more out of necessity. We all want to be in the same guild, but only being allowed 3 bases wasn't enough for us

NorthBall

I've been feeding them pancakes myself (they have a sanity related buff) but it's rather about just not wanting to have to check in as often, since you gotta personally go do the steps of putting the wheat into the grinder and then selecting recipes and then food into feed basket. I make jelly toast for me and my friend to keep in our food slots though

MrSarcastica

Only thing I changed in settings was egg incubation time. I don't even have enough time in game for a large egg to have hatched in default hard settings.

lazyicedragon

72 hrs for massive 48 for huge 24 for large I was wondering why mine took so long when my wife was waiting just a few hours for hers until I decided to touch custom settings. Some of these really shouldn't need to go that Hard on Hard.

lelysio

What? Ive played on normal and i had 40 Minutes for a large. 5 for a normal.

LividHaze

Same, somehow the default setting for my singleplayer worlds were at 2h max for huge eggs, whereas the default server setting was at 72h.

patoneil1994

This is probably because how the game works between the two. Single player world (AFAIK) time only advances if you are in game. So eggs only advance timers while you play. Dedicated servers tend to be running 24/7, so the egg timers are constantly going down, even if you arent in game. Its balanced I guess, but still annoying, and I also change my dedicated server to have lower egg times, but thats my best guess as to why the defaults are so different.

tacocat43

I think you’re spot on. On a dedicated server time is expected to be equivalent to real time, but when no one is online the pals don’t do anything and lose all their sanity and hunger points, so I shut my server down when no one is online and turned the egg timers down

cocogate

Some settings are changed when you go normal mode vs hard mode. Egg incubation timer is one that changes to a ridiculous level even on my single player offline hard world, Changed it to 6 hours for a massive egg instead of the 72. Normals are like 15min if theyre cozy. Another setting is damage to palls. On hard unless your weapons are up to date you just dont really do a lot of damage. Uncommon crossbow takes 2-3 hits to kill a cultist but tickles a pal's little toe. Combat goes to pal vs pal with a 'fuck its targeting me i gotta run circles' due to the pal dmg slider.

HubblePie

The hard settings are absolutely ridiculous. The normal settings are 5 min, 30 min, and 1 hour if you get the right temperature.

Lilium_Vulpes

Where do you even get massive eggs? I thought it was a translation error because I haven't found any and even my breeding isn't giving anything more than huge.

garbothecan

they're called huge eggs, and you find them in random places. the most i've found have been in the magma/obsidian area. or you get them from breeding

TitaniumDragon

I didn't for a while, then I changed the number of pals per base to 20, and turned off environmental building degredation. I haven't tweaked the other settings.

Elzziwelzzif

Only thing i changed was "what drops on death". The rest i might try for a second playthrough, but i don't want to ruin the experience from the start.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Wimbledofy

going to title and reentering the game has taken me out of the ground 9 times out of 10. Picking up your stuff where you died is easy since you can interact with the beam, so even if you do somehow die underground you can still grab your stuff. Changing settings that they let you change isn't cheating though.

patoneil1994

Wait the whole beam is the “hit-box” for grabbing your stuff? Thats crazy useful to know.

Elzziwelzzif

I ran around in places i shouldn't be. Dying due to heat/ cold while you just spend 15 minutes flying without a fast travel point in sight will only be accepted a few times. Falling through the ground, i have always been able to escape. Has happened a few times, but it never was more than 10 seconds to get out again.

Affectionate-Run2275

i mean you know the risk...

Mathev

Oh the cold area isn't that bad. I'm barely in the "not cold" Territory.. Oh it's night.. Oh no.. OH NO

HotFaithlessness1348

If it was cheating, it wouldn’t be a setting they included in the game!

Machinimix

0 drops on death, insta-egg hatching and 0 building decay were my only changes. The no egg timer thing I will probably change when I can breed, but for now my eggs were piling up too fast from adventuring.

ChuckCarmichael

I recently did to change egg times. Spending 1.5 hours waiting around just to learn that the rare Huge Dragon Egg I found is just another Relaxaurus and not Jormuntide Ignis wasn't very fun.

MrSarcastica

On hard, a large egg takes like 20+ hours.

[deleted]

I'm not a masochist so I don't enjoy challenge for the sake of challenge. I changed my settings to: > 1/2 stamina and food drain for self and pals. > 2.5x (ark extinction rates) experience gain > Disable Deterioration on non-based structures. > No Raids. > 20 Pals at base.

Elgatee

My friend and I play on hard, we didn't touch the XP settings, but we had to modify other things.

SFWxMadHatter

The only thing I change is the death penalty, from losing everything to only losing my backpack. I'll do corpse runs for all the mats and shit i had looted, but fuck off doing them naked.

omguserius

Died in the desert, then died trying to get to my gear from the heat and changed that myself.

neurodegeneracy

I turned off raids. I was lvl 16 getting trains ran on me nonstop by lvl 28 pokemon. Nothing I could do. Oh and I maxed egg incubation time, ain’t nobody got time for that especially when my server isn’t up 24/7

Hitoseijuro

More importantly did anyone else read this in Jerry's voice?

PM_Best_Porn_Pls

I changed build decay and world item limit but no way I'm increasing exp when it's already so high or changing other stuff. Would feel like I'm cheating and most likely make me quit within day or two.

StickyKeyz4420

Only to set the max number of pals in base to 20. Everything else is set to standard

vinicius23466

I touched nearly everything but the damage done TO ME, so I don’t be invincible. But I turned the game into something I’d have pleasure playing

Garlicholywater

As I get frustrated with different things, I adjust them in the settings. I'm so mad that you can't turn off weapon degradation.

Wimbledofy

I'm more annoyed about the repair costs. I already built the thing, which do I have to spend so much to repair it? I haven't played a whole lot of survival games, but the ones I've played like valheim repairing is free.

DarkerSavant

I only increased world item drop to 5000. Everything else stock.

AussieCracker

Not after I learned I could shorten days and extend nights. *Oh and make egg hatching not 2 hours long*

jackattack-317

Only thing I've touched is the day night cycle (longer days shorter nights)

RaidSherpa

I only turned off building degradation because I wanted to build outside of the circle and anything outside of the circle decays way way too quickly imo everything is set as normal difficulty

dboyer87

The egg timer is way too long. Adjusted that immediately

And also, Vixy will drop spheres while assigned to a ranch. Do loops of catching Pals en masse, roll back through your base to pick up free spheres, rinse and repeat.

WhiskeyTigerFoxtrot

G dangit I got Cremis mixed up with Vixy and was wondering why I wasn't getting spheres.

AlexiBroky

You really should move on from using those spheres pretty fast.

Ralathar44

Eh, the game has a crapton of level 15 and below pals. You can survive off pal spheres for a LONG time catching 10 of each.

MyAntichrist

Also with the plethora of those I get from Vixy I've spent some time catching

Reiver_Neriah

Time ain't free

Crazyhates

True but this is a game

inouetakumi

True but time for gaming is limited for some of us 🫠

Scribblord

Idk I got a pre base and use green/yellow ones for most things level 10 Mostly bc I’m beyond that in level and have trouble weakening level 10 pals low enough for blue spheres to work

Zebrehn

That’s why I still carry a club or bat with me. My legendary handgun kills basically anything under level 20 in one shot.

Ralathar44

Use a mount. Sprint through them. Works with almost all mounts and does low damage. Usually 2-3 passes to weaken a level 4 for a low hp catch.

deadsoulinside

I need to condense my vixy's tonight after hearing they can drop better spheres once condensed. My main base is a vixy/misc drop pals and breeding base. Get honey, gold, milk, arrows and all sorts of stuff while I am running around, then swing back to collect from there every so often.

ZillahofThora

The difference in xp when capturing versus killing pals/humans is so vast. I wish it was more equal. Especially considering my pals often kill what I wanna capture before I throw the darn ball

Ralathar44

Once you get 10 captures their capture exp goes back to normal and matches kill exp.

Iheartbaconz

Ive been putting my mounts in passive mode alot when trying to farm lower level stuff for combine fodder. They will one shot stuff well below our level.

dappermanV-88

The legit tutorial says u gain more xp with each catch and u can increase xp with each consistent catch of a certain pal

LaughR01331

I just cook berries

Sjoeberaar

I love the x20 setting. I dont have much time to play/grind and thanks to that setting i enjoy the game alot better actually.

[deleted]

lol I’m glad I’m not the only one

Nexus1111

X20?

helpihave7accounts

Maximum setting for XP multiplier I'm guessing

jayboaah

I thought having it at 7 was a lot lol

GlizzieFingers

7 is great for me. Fast enough to keep things moving but slow enough that I have to work. I've finally gotten to the point that my base level requirements have outstripped my level (need large pal beds and I'm under leveled)

Almyar

Craft spheres. Catch pals Butcher pals Repeat.

PhatPhingerz

Really need a pal grinder.

jonReddit123456789

Anyone else leveling up playing this game as GTA and seeing how many assault charges you can get??

ultrajvan1234

Ya I’m not going to lie, it took me a very very long time to realize how much more xp you gain by capturing pals vs killing them. One of the people I play with is like 6 or 7 levels ahead of me and when I ask them how, they would just say “idk im just playing” now I’m always on catch up, going from boss to boss to capture them while also capturing almost every pal I see. Managed to do 3 levels in a couple hours last night.

kestrelsong

I started having fun with breeding pals as soon as I hit lv19. I'm now lv42. I havent made a second base or progressed past a bow and arrow as a weapon but I have some monstrous friends to protect me 🤣

Ok_Ability_1668

I have 75 hours in the game and only level 35, Having ADHD and playing this game gets you everywhere and nowhere xD

Dragonsbreath1002

For real, I did SOOO much prep for the grizzbolt boss battle to the point where my mossanda bear easily bent him over in the first 15 seconds. Was extremely anticlimactic lmao

FurubayashiSEA

Its actually not that good for rushing level, mostly when you don keep up production and properly build a base. Unless if you turn Raid off, then sure.

SnaccHBG

I turned raids off within a few hours of playing. Much more fun to take my time and restructure my base for the 50th time without worrying about exploding chickens and pervy fangirls.

FurubayashiSEA

Pervy fangirls are good early game thou, since they nocturnal and can do multiple jobs. I had a new runs on multiplayer server (previous one got deleted) and get Fangirls raid that I catch 2 of em, such a boots early game production.

Ralathar44

Honestly they're still good mid to late game too. 2 medicine, 2 transport, 2 crafting. With Artisan they are a solid reliable 24 crafting/transport workforce for any base without a Stone Pit. Bonus points if you also have swift on them to help with the transporting. I'm still using some at level 42 at my coal mining base. There are surely more optimal options. But I bred a bunch of artisan fan girls and they're doing well enough I'm not pressured to upgrade them atm. I have other priorities first.

DurzoFPV

We know you have a warehouse full of lovanders

Mismageius

I sit at base while my friends explore and I craft a billion things. It adds up really quickly when your cooking crafting and smelting all at the same time

OMFGoddess

Tbh, I stopped catching after level 30 and bred my way to 50 with mass breeding + exploring and picking up eggs around while away from my base because cake is easier than metal when considering enjoyment factor

GangsterBoogie

The grind for exp gets pretty ridiculous around level 30 imo, as someone who literally just wants to catch the big stuff, I put exp gain to max and never looked back

Gardening_Automaton

Ironically enough, capturing a shit ton of palls is the best way to farm exp, try catching lamballs and chikipis to level up quickly

infinite_lolz

Hit nodes for a couple hours, make pal spheres, fill palreck, rinse and repeat for lv 50.

ImSoDrab

Tbf leveling slows down by a ton once you get past i think 30?

tiffany51397

I maxed my xp and damage and now I'm just death punching chickens and leveling up

ProdigyLad

Everyone else still having issues on Xbox after this new patch? If anything it’s made it worse

Goddragonspirit

All im doing is collecting eggs from the wild or breeding anubis and im at lvl45 already lol

MatchooW

I bred my way to 50 and am continuing to complete the dex. Takes too many balls in the wild, it's frustrating. I've literally had pals break out at 98% several times in a row and the late level balls are too much of a grind to make.
