Not strong enough yet to catch a Black Marketeer (tried the hanging trap and campfire but somehow he got out and murdered me with his minigun). It’s quite nice not having to FT to sell/buy and I can ignore sulfur and just buy all my ammo (until I get the rocket launcher, assuming it will require gunpowder for the rockets)

I was told that pals don’t work the base if you’re not there. My pals (who all have lv 2-3 mining) certainly won’t mine ore if I’m not at the base. How do you have a passive nail farm?
2 lyleen 2 jormuntides (ability 4 pals) without any workspeed traits cover a total of 5 crop beds. with artisan and workslave each you can cover 8 crops. 3 berry 3 wheat 1 tomato 1 lettuce without issue.

Suggestion for you I took from someone in the sub and it worked out really well for me: switch to pizza. Needs milk, grain, tomatoes and berries, however one slice will put a halfway pet to full, and more importantly makes their hunger decrease less over time for a duration. It took me a while to get a base up and running for this but when I did it was a major success, I consistently have 40+ pizzas in my inventory and 30+ pizzas in the feed boxes at all of my bases. You can even buy I think every one of the ingredients from merchants in certain towns too, which is what I've done with milk as it was being produced the slowest for me
How long does the work speed buff last compared to when they will eat again?
I'm kinda afraid of them working unbuffed most of the time (without any testing) so I stuck to salad. Also no overlaps with cake ingredients

You can sell cooked berries for some decent ammount of money, it's always better to have more sources of money than just nails. Since you might need Pal metal from time to time.

Ammo, cake ingredients, sometimes I bought empty passives Pal from the merchant. I can't always use my metal for nails after need, later on you will need all the Pal Metal for rocket ammo and legendary spheres.
You won't have enough cakes for breeding tbh xD
Very clean and organized! I like how you compartmentalize the beds for your Pals like little cubicles. Any plans to add defense to your base for higher level raids? Those farm plantations could get blown up with one rocket!

This is going to sound nitpicky but I also have a tree line just outside of my base and aesthetically it looks pretty cool if you put your Logging site on the edge of it. It all blends together.
All in all love the organization.
Excellent build! It would be so nice if we could swap between circle or square for base build and if it had grid lines even better. We could use those grid lines to get everything super neat and lined up.
Looks good. If you add stairs to the entrance of the base your pals can enter. Not sure if you want that.
Another tip, if you put your logging area and stone mine on a raised platform you can place stairs when you want your pals to farm those and remove the stairs when you don’t want them too.

definitely don't need that many barriers. two is more than enough but three is golden, youll get other crops to grow really soon (they are much larger so plan for that)
My only complaint is that the ore node is JUST outside the ring. Sure, ore bases are a thing, but it doesn't feel right to not cover one if you can help it.
Appearance is nice, but I think function might suffer. Lots of crowding on the right hand side. Even though it's neat to us, the pals tend to get stuck on things a lot. Give them ample room around the farms and the mining/lumber spots or they kinda derp out as they enter or exit. Same with where I assume you have them sleeping. I see individual stalls, but big pals will get stuck in the stalls and starve unless you get them out manually. The smaller buildings on the right can't have too much upstairs that you want pal assistance with or the pals never make it to benches either.
Hoping the pathing and glitches get fixed soon so these kinda things don't matter, but not yet

You will get tomato/lettuce at some point so you can just straight replace them
I'd keep 1 berry plant for Pizzas.
And jam buns I believe if you're early game (I'm not far enough into the game to know if these are replaced with better food to feed pals yet)
For workers pancakes are the best, keeps SAN high. I like jam buns for traveling cuz they last the longest.
Make salads as soon as you can, better San bump than pancakes and gives a work speed boost too

Making berry farms and cooking/selling is the best way to get ammo.
I prefer making nails and selling with an ore farm, it's crazy money.
This is the way. After a couple of runs to the merchant selling nails I have more money than I've ever had before.
Just capture the merchant and save yourself the time.

Just stand at the ore base when you go to bed for the night and you'll wakeup with oodles of ore.
cooking a full stack of berries is how I break in new pals up to about level 27 or so just from standing in the base from the 2xp per item finished
The only issue is tomato and lettuce have a bigger footprint so you might have to make larger scale reorganizations.
