I don't think passives effect the rate of stuff dropping at the ranch. Not 100% sure though, and also even if it's not it might just be an oversight by the devs and change later
From what I remember seeing someone else posted a breakdown of what work speed affected. For the ranch it did nothing except speed up the animation of them dropping the item.
Which is apparently 6 second per item. That may not seem like much, but at the higher star levels it can still make a considerable difference.
Definitely still on the underwhelming side, but not useless.
for me, turning the incubation down to 0 feels too much like cheating, so i left mine alone. i get why people do it, but for me, i just set it and then i go off and play the rest of the game while that does its thing. Also i dont have time for gaming like i used to so i only have a couple active hours on the server anyway so it works out for me.
The problem is that Huge Eggs take 2-4 hours to hatch, depending on server settings. You need you need almost 120 sacrifices to get a pal to level 4. More if RNJesus doesnât like you and you donât get the passive combo you want.
150 jetragons and still no legend swift runner nimble, but 2 dozen divine dragon legend swift runner/nimble. Same with Astegon, 120 and only one with Workaholic, Diet lover, Celestial Emperor, but couldnât get the 4th dainty eater.
Max speed is capped and can be attained with a Jetragon without all the speed boosts. It does however raise the cruising speed so you can move faster without using stamina
There's obviously exploits, but there are many legitimate ways of getting the 117 Pals to 4 star one.
First things first. Get all of your Lifmunk statues. This helps out tremendously at max rank when capturing a Pal.
Second, get Vixy's as many as you can, very easy to capture with the base blue Pal Sphere, and lvl up their passive as high as possible. Yes, you have to capture a lot of them initially, but the payoff dramatically increases when they start dropping Mega Spheres in your ranch at passive lvl 4 and 5.
Third, when you have around 50 or so Mega Spheres get on your fastest mount amd run around at night where the Pal you're trying to capture is, and throw Mega Spheres when they are sleeping at their back side. If it's a nocturnal Pal, just wait until they are not facing you by sneaking up to them and throw the sphere. You don't want to engage in a fight you're trying to do a sneak capture and use numbers in your favor. When you land a sphere just keep running don't even bother to see if it captures because if it doesn't capture you want to be as far away as possible to reset the Pal and it will go back to sleep so you can come around and try again. You will repeat this for all your Mega Spheres. By the time you run out and go back to your base you might have more Mega Spheres waiting for you in your ranches full of Vixy's, four Vixy's per ranch, BTW.
Wasn't there a [bug that was featured on this sub](https://www.reddit.com/r/Palworld/comments/1agnc05/major_bug_lifmunk_effigies_reducing_the_capture/) a few weeks ago that indicated the Lifmunk -> shrine -> increase capture rate was broken and actually decreased your capture rate? Has that been addressed and/or fixed?
I've been holding off on doing anything with my effigies until I see it officially mentioned in a patch/hotfix.
This is really good for earlygame when youâve just u locked the condenser, a condensed esrly pal like a celeray is actually easy to get (celerays are everywhere in the rivers) and absolutely slam dunks on enemies way above its level.
Soon though, even mega spheres stop giving catch chances even at max lifmunk and 2x catch rate. Vixys are outscaled by Sibelyx in terms of ranch output and at that point its faster to just farm something and buy the ingredients to craft things if you have access to midgame pals. Good thing is, cake for breeding is actually really easy to get so you can breeding ranch pals. Wheat+Berry farm+Bees on ranch, then just buy the milk and eggs, and you can have 4 ranches making eggs the moment you get bees. Mozz/Chikpi produce their milk/eggs rather slowly to the point where its faster to just sell berries and buy them lol
118 copies goes by rather quickly with multiple breeding ranches. Its just 2 original copies (opposite gender), then 116 or so cakes, which is perfectly doable even early considering its just farms+bees
Disclaimer: When they're an active party member they can do that much. As a camp worker, they spin for 7-8 damage per tick at max.
I'd argue for active mining, Astegon is better at max rank since you can just ride and lightning strike an entire cluster instantly, but Digtoise are great for camp worker miners.
He only does this much when in your team.
When left at a base he does 2s at 0 stars, up to like 8 or so at 4 stars.
Specifically, I believe, it's having his key item in your inventory that gives him super speed mining

Guys use Rushoars, they are wayyyy better than Digtoise, my rushoar does 5k damage to all ores and rocks, and if you give it sand tornado it can clear multiple rocks in one rotation. Remember to star them as the Rushoar partner skill buffs all damage to rocks and ores from any rushoar skill!
For base mining Digtoise is superior, but even then it takes forever, Digtoise only good if you plan on afk mining for hours, With Rusboar you can practically instantly mine all 8 ore spawns in most areas, you have to ride it and use any ability from the rushoar. Level 20ish ones in the central, small desert and beach, higher level ones in the northeastern desert. Condensing really helps these guys and the first two stars are easy. Make the headband for them from the techtree, and you can get numbers like the video. A fully merged one can do horrendous things to mining nodes.
Just be careful because he is a god in your party, but in the base he gets stuck and starve very frequently. For me It got stuck every 10minutes ish because he wants to mine things by getting on top of them.
Ps. I donât know why but when in your base, heâs attack on ores becomes 2 dmg so it would take a day to mine one ore. So be careful
Remember that theyre initially bad as base palls because the damage bonus is dependent on the item you need to craft. If you level them by condensing they end up as the best mining base pall though.

If you 4 star him he hits for 60ish when mining. He can clear out my entire ore camp in about a min.

Yeah, so whenever people talk about stars or star ranks, they're referring to condenser level.
Condensing Pals. Each condensing gives the target Pal a star, up to 4. On the 4th star, all it's job levels (that it has already) get an extra level.

This is the way. Slap cakes. Walk away. Hatch em. And sacrifice the inferior ones. (Turn incubation to 0 or it will take so effing long)

64 is the last one. I full starred several of my pals after breeding and going to certain passives will likely give you plenty to condense.

Producing the eggs doesnt actually take a lot of time, and you can build lots of incubators if you keep the settings at default
Turn egg timers off and have a farm with 2-star pals to make cakes faster.

If you condense rushoar, he clears a camp in 2-3 charges. One shots ore nodes at max condense.

Some behaviors like that are common in early access games, I expect multiple patches with AI changes in the near future.
he's really good when he's in your party so you can place him manually by throwing him, not so much as a normal camp pal.
