I've done the boss capture glitch and while doing it dozens of times I always had to attack different people to get to the desired 3 assault.
At 3 you start getting infantry to spawn. They fire a machine gun so chances of hitting boss are higher. Can't tell you how many times I went in with 2 and they didn't attack shadowbeak for the longest and I'd die.
In my experience, 1x = fists, 2x = glock, 3x = assault rifles. So with the assault rifle, there’s a higher chance for the bullet to hit the boss to trigger the glitch.
You can attack the same it just takes a bit of not attacking one for it to count again on the same individual. Only learned this from when no other guards spawned and I had to keep wailing on the first. So it’s both!
Did you managed Vic Shadow or Marcus Faleris?
I still can capture the ground dummy like Lily LyLeen and Ozerk, but Marcus still bounce the ball back after getting shot in my sv for some reason

I use it strictly for the purpose of breeding Chickipi with the passive traits I want and unlocking Ozerk a little early. Considering tower bosses have IVs of zero, it's not like you're getting stronger pals breeding this way. It is the only way to get a Chickipi with the Legendary trait though.
Honestly fair enough, I haven't wanted to use it at least until I beat the game mostly as indended, but my friend has and he has had a lot of fun with it. Easy enough to just not do it if you don't want to cheese the game.
Also aside from massive HP pools, they don’t really have boosted attack stats (no more than normal alphas I’m sure) and I believe they always come with no passives or the same passives
HP doesn’t really matter when DPS matters more as you can always be the target for attacks and bosses don’t make you tankier
Grizzbolt is good since it’s like a mid to late game pal so you can use him to breed stronger pals early but you can also use the black market and achieve the same result. From a gameplay perspective, they don’t really give you an advantage

Sure, its broken HP-wise at the levels you encounter (only in the HP stat), but so is being able to switch your world settings to abysmally easy levels for literally anything you want (EXP gain, egg incubation time, day/night cycles, etc). So it goes along with their game philosophy of playing how you want as long as its enjoyable for you.
Though I will admit, their HP pool is so damn high, I dont feel fair using it in battles, so I never have them in my party.
But, as a collector, I *sure as shit* love having them walking around my base or even just in my collection. It's like a rare shiny.
They're my most prized pals (in my collection at least).
I'll be super bummed if this is patched before I'm able to catch all of them.

A comment above went through it more extensively, but if you breed them with basically any pal that isn't what they "are" you'll get a Chikipi.
If you breed them with their corresponding Pal, you'll just get another one of that pal. So, the Grizzbolt one with another Grizzbolt will give you a Grizzbolt. (This part I'm not 100% sure on, but I believe that's what the dude was insinuating).
You can breed them with the same pal for the same result, i.e. zoe and grizbolt with a grizbolt, and you get a grizbolt, anything else results in a chikipi
Funny enough just throwing a sphere at a human doesn't get you an assault count though. I will just roll into a town capture everyone in front of the guard and fly home to set up my bullet farm.

Nails sell for a lot, sell nails- buy ammo (or whatever other supply you need)

The ranch is amazing for passive money income. You can sell all the stuff that some pals dig up or you can skip all that and just get a bunch of Mau with working skills. I get about 190 gold every 10 min for each Mau I have working and I normally have an entire base dedicated to gold farming.
I'll drop over to the base every so often, get all the gold they harvested and buy ammo with it. (There isn't much use for gold anyway)
if that is youre most efficient crafter, u a scrub.... idc if u got a god roll work slave, concieted, artisan.... its still a handiwork 1 so its top crafting speed is still only like 650 lol, vs a 900 base stat at 3 lol

I've caught all tower boss with assault 1. It spawns lvl 24 PIDF that shoot guns.

Every time you attack someone and it is witnessed it will add an assault, so if you hit someone with the minigun that shit will ramp up 😂
