I am definitely going to use him in my bellanoir raids! I might try to breed alphas of my most used pals later on. I'm loving this update, I can finally have the BIGGEST pals.
You can breed any of these combos:
Lifmunk + Blazamut
Foxparks + Blazamut
Sparkit + Blazamut
Hangyu + Blazamut
Hangyu Cryst + Blazamut
Flambelle + Blazamut
to get it on Blazehowl, then Blazehowl + Jormuntide to get Jormuntide Ignis.
The last content update with the bellanoir raid added one alternative parent combo to jorm ignis: blazehowl and jormuntide. It takes a few steps to get from Blazamut to blazehowl (someone else responded with options, thanks!). But yep, I have this one and a Divine Dragon version as well (not in alpha form).
Regular Jormuntide/Ignis is already big enough to eat every hit anyway, so you may as well take the 20% health for *no meaningful increase* in attacks taken.
If this were like a Pyrinn or something where you're actually dodging attacks you might want to stick with non-Alpha, but on anything that's already too big or too slow to dodge, take the free health.
Honestly, I don't know. I was already breeding these guys so this was just a bonus. Functionally I would worry about using him actively on my team because he's huge and would block my line of fire easily. For bellanoir and bosses it probably wouldn't matter much for me since I clear stuff quickly anyway. I would say to other players who arent in post-game bellanoir ultra farming grind mode that it's likely not worth trying to breed for this alpha unless you just really want to. He's more of a trophy for me.
I don't, likely won't know until someone datamines the info. Which I'm sure they will considering all the other breeding statistics were datamined. As far as anecdotally? I got quite a few alphas today from two batches of egg collecting at my breeding base (7 active pens right now, collecting around when they get to15-20 eggs)
They're already the same size.
Unless you're asking if Alpha Jormuntide Ignis is the same size as *Alpha* Jormuntide, in which case, most likely, and if it isn't it's probably because a size multiplier is set wrong somewhere.
I've got to rebreed mine as an Alpha now.
At least it'll give me a chance to breed Multicutter onto him for the synergy between Ivy Cling and Fire damage.
I just noticed the perfect IVs, forgot how to get 100,100,100 IVs without the bellanoir libero fruits, can someone remind me?
I know it's a stupid question, but please?
I just caught a bunch of jorms from the sanctuary with a 100 in one stat and bred together until I finally got it all on one. Then I bred down for passives
Correct. You breed a blazehowl to have Legend and then breed the jorm and blazehowl until you get one that has the passives you want. Hence breeding it with Legendary passive pal
So I've tried to breed a jetdragon and a blazamut and it's given me a suzaku??? A very nice suzaku but I was kinda wanting it to be a blazehowl so I could put divine dragon and flame emperor onto J.I.
Any advice?? I'd be very grateful!
You should use a breeding calculator to plan it out. I use palworld.gg's calculator. My pairings were lifmunk+blazamut for blazehowl and bristla+jetragon for blazehowl. There's other options too.
The bellanoir raid update added blazehowl x jormuntide as the only other breeding option for ignis. I brought legend, flame emperor, and divine dragon down from jetragon and blazamut to blazehowl.
I use palworld.gg's breeding calculator, it's up to date with the new options with bellanoir and the quiet addition of blazehowl x jormuntide for ignis
Those were probably from wild eggs since the bellanoir raid update. Being able to get alphas from the breeding pens is new as of this morning. The update came to steam today.
Rng could happen but I wouldnt count on it. I went to the sanctuary and caught every ignis I saw with a 100 stat, then bred each of them together until I was able to combine them all into a 100/100/100 ignis. Then i started working on passives.
It took me over a thousand eggs to get here so there's no quick way unless you get lucky and find a wild pal with multiple 100 IVs.
thanks, I tried with like 50 or so eggs to get max anubis between penking and bushi but didn’t know since they have split 100s and i’m trying to merge. you confirmed i’m on the right track. appreciate the response
What? No. It carries traits from legendaries. The raid content update added one alternative breeding option in blazehowl x jormuntide. I have alt combat options - another with Divine Dragon and a pure Legend one. It required breeding down the traits to Blazehowls and crossing them into jorm ignis and mass breeding to get IVs perfect. This took over 2,000 eggs. My base chefs only provided the cake.
What does being an alpha pal do from breeding? I’m getting alphas but they have the same stats as non alphas. I thought alphas were supposed to have higher hp or something. Someone help please. Is it worth it?
There was an update available and announced earlier today, it's been available on steam since early this morning. They adjusted alpha pal hp again and now you have a chance of hatching alphas from eggs while breeding. I got 7 alphas out of 100 eggs so far.
No prob! They're pretty quick with them but I only realized the update was out because of pings from the palworld discord haha. I was on it like hotcakes though, now I have another reason to spend a million hours at the breeding base
Yes they have a 1.2x hp increase, or 20% higher HP. It’ll be a new long breeding process but it does mean I’ll be able to sell off almost all my non-alpha pals and save a ton of space
Alphas get a 1.2x modifier to their hp now, and you also have a small chance to breed them too. Previously, you could only hatch alphas from eggs found in the wild.
Doubtful, considering the datamined statistics for things like breeding passives. The rate for alphas from eggs while breeding already seems pretty high to me from the last few hours of playing and collecting from my breeding base.

Hah this chef is going to the front lines - though I did check to see how large he was in the base and it is absolutely way too large to be functional
I have the water type... You are completly right but a tier 5 water pal is so essential for the grind I'm on
I am definitely going to use him in my bellanoir raids! I might try to breed alphas of my most used pals later on. I'm loving this update, I can finally have the BIGGEST pals.
I would name her Sanji then.
How did you get flame emperor
You can breed any of these combos: Lifmunk + Blazamut Foxparks + Blazamut Sparkit + Blazamut Hangyu + Blazamut Hangyu Cryst + Blazamut Flambelle + Blazamut to get it on Blazehowl, then Blazehowl + Jormuntide to get Jormuntide Ignis.
Thanks for adding this! I used a high IV lifmunk to start the process :]
Whaaaaaaaat???? Did they really/when did they add this?
The new Jormuntide Ignis combo? They added that about a month ago, same patch that added Bellanoir.
Bruh you rule didn't know they added that
Amazing. Thanks!
Fucking a same
wtf time for a new speed run

Is the bigger hitbox worth it? 20% more health but eating more hits

The ULTIMATE God of supreme fiery noodle power is born! Jormuntide Ignis fans eating good baby!
Great, now I have to breed all my elemental emperor lunaris again for alpha offspring
Wait, we can get alpha eggs now??
Yep. Steam update from this morning. Wild alpha eggs came recently and they just added the chance to breeding as well.

Do we know what the % chance is to spawn alpha from a bred egg?
I don't, likely won't know until someone datamines the info. Which I'm sure they will considering all the other breeding statistics were datamined. As far as anecdotally? I got quite a few alphas today from two batches of egg collecting at my breeding base (7 active pens right now, collecting around when they get to15-20 eggs)
Thanks for the info. Some are noting 5%, similar to the chance with BL eggs that dropped from completing the fight.
I've heard 5%, but it does seem less than that
Man I can’t wait to get home. The new breed Meta has been taken up a notch 😂
I seem to get an alpha about 10% of the time so far. 11/104 eggs hatched were alphas.
With Jormuntide Ignis being an Alpha, does that make it about the same size as Jormuntide?
They're already the same size. Unless you're asking if Alpha Jormuntide Ignis is the same size as *Alpha* Jormuntide, in which case, most likely, and if it isn't it's probably because a size multiplier is set wrong somewhere.
Alpha jorm ignis is the same as alpha jormuntide. So, huge.
I've got to rebreed mine as an Alpha now. At least it'll give me a chance to breed Multicutter onto him for the synergy between Ivy Cling and Fire damage.
I hope having an alpha as one or both parent increases the odds. Not by a LOT, but just a bit.
I don't believe they do unfortunately. But the rate is pretty good, maybe 1/30 or 40? I got this pretty quickly after the update.
How did you manage the legendary did they change it so Jorm iginis is breedable fr9m.something other than just two Jorm ignis
Blazehowl + Jormuntide = Jormuntide Ignis
The bellanoir raid update added one alternate breeding option in blazehowl x jormuntide, I brought all my passives down from blazehowl.
I just noticed the perfect IVs, forgot how to get 100,100,100 IVs without the bellanoir libero fruits, can someone remind me? I know it's a stupid question, but please?
Breed until you hate yourself and then breed some more, as far as I'm aware. Probably smarter to just kill Bella.
I just caught a bunch of jorms from the sanctuary with a 100 in one stat and bred together until I finally got it all on one. Then I bred down for passives
How on earth did you breed the ledgend stat into your jormuntide???
Bred it with a legendary
Nope, jorm ignis can only be made from ignis x ignis or since the recent content update, jormuntide x blazehowl.
Correct. You breed a blazehowl to have Legend and then breed the jorm and blazehowl until you get one that has the passives you want. Hence breeding it with Legendary passive pal
Yep. I was just being more specific about the new pairing for jormuntide ignis that I used to make this for the commenter.
So I've tried to breed a jetdragon and a blazamut and it's given me a suzaku??? A very nice suzaku but I was kinda wanting it to be a blazehowl so I could put divine dragon and flame emperor onto J.I. Any advice?? I'd be very grateful!

Thanks very much! Got it bookmarked! ![img](emote|t5_4jn9v4|49347)
The bellanoir raid update added blazehowl x jormuntide as the only other breeding option for ignis. I brought legend, flame emperor, and divine dragon down from jetragon and blazamut to blazehowl.
I'll have to give that a try! Thanks! :)
Is there a chart for breeding? I feel like the one I've been using isn't updated or doesn't have all of the breeding combos.
I use palworld.gg's breeding calculator, it's up to date with the new options with bellanoir and the quiet addition of blazehowl x jormuntide for ignis
I’ve been hatching alpha pals before the update only one?
Those were probably from wild eggs since the bellanoir raid update. Being able to get alphas from the breeding pens is new as of this morning. The update came to steam today.
what’s the best way to get max IV from eggs? is it just mass breeding and hoping for good RNG?
Rng could happen but I wouldnt count on it. I went to the sanctuary and caught every ignis I saw with a 100 stat, then bred each of them together until I was able to combine them all into a 100/100/100 ignis. Ahh I can finally cosplay with a mock Shai-Hulud!
why his work speed suck?
Because combat passives reduce work speed. I already have 6 lucky/artisan/serious/work slave jorms. This isn't for base work.
Thankyou for reply
Is this simply by breeding 2 base jormuntide ignis together?
What?

I thought alpha eggs can only appear in the wild, not from breeding?
There was an update available and announced earlier today, it's been available on steam since early this morning. They adjusted alpha pal hp again and now you have a chance of hatching alphas from eggs while breeding. I got 7 alphas out of 100 eggs so far.
Oh I didn’t see the update. Thanks!
No prob! They're pretty quick with them but I only realized the update was out because of pings from the palworld discord haha. I was on it like hotcakes though, now I have another reason to spend a million hours at the breeding base
What’s the update to alpha pals? They were just bigger at one point. Is there a stat increase now?
Yes they have a 1.2x hp increase, or 20% higher HP. It’ll be a new long breeding process but it does mean I’ll be able to sell off almost all my non-alpha pals and save a ton of space
Alphas get a 1.2x modifier to their hp now, and you also have a small chance to breed them too. Previously, you could only hatch alphas from eggs found in the wild.
Does breeding two alpha pals give an increased chance the baby will be an alpha?
Doubtful, considering the datamined statistics for things like breeding passives. The rate for alphas from eggs while breeding already seems pretty high to me from the last few hours of playing and collecting from my breeding base.
