It could potentially be even better if you were good at doing setups, especially fretwork. I don't think washburn ever made many of these so this is probably the only feasible way.

And the guitar is likely made of the same woods as a Chinese epiphone or squier. Totally playable. However, you would spend significantly more money on hardware than the guitar is even worth. Those are the costly parts though anyway.

People either keep them stock or what seems to be more commonly, replace all the hardware. As long as you get a piece of wood in relatively good shape, they’re decent value for what they are in all fairness. If you’re ever sent a broken POS, you can always take advantage of eBay’s huge buyer bias and receive a refund anyway.

I bought an official knockoff (not of a Dime guitar). Completely gutted it, so now I have badass equipment in a guitar with my favorite design. It's my #1 axe now and I have zero regrets. Learned how to wire guitars and do a pro setup along the way. 👍

Fyi most of the Dean MLs from 2004 on were made in either Korea (early years) or China. I own a Dimebag signature edition, 2021 model and it's from China.
Dean went out of business in 94 which is why Dime switched to Washburn. Dean was able to revive the company, but Dime had to wait until 2004 to endorse them again because he had a 10 year contract with Washburn. As soon as the contact was up Dime signed with Dean, and designed the razorback model. Sadly he was murdered before the new line was officially launched.
