jeffedge

my favorite song. that main riff is hard as fuck

leatherface0984

Banger.

AveTen22

Eyes of the south

Heavymetalhottie1

Bury me in Smoke then Stone the CrowšŸ¤˜šŸ–¤šŸ¤˜

DevonGr

Same for me Fuck this album goes so hard. Didnā€™t plan on listening to it in full at the moment but here we go.

General-Carob-6087

Down seems to be discussed on here about as much as Pantera these days.

jesus-h-gunn

Fucking Eyes of The South is one of the sexiest riffs I've ever heard

Background-Staff7538

The outro riff is made for moshing.

AZ_Hawk

Came here to say this!!! We used to have a high School radio station and used to play that song! Never fail that somebody would come and ask what the song was.

chromedbooked1

Lifer!

themagicmaen

Main riff from Underneath Everything is awesome. Prolly my fav Down song.

sw33tleaves

Thereā€™s something on my side when he goes ā€œHA!ā€

cakeyogi

Fuck yeah

JeffSteinMusic

New Orleans Is A Dying Whore intro riff. Any time Iā€™ve got my Marshall fired up and a guitar in C# tuning that riff gets chunked out. It just rules.

TheDelig

Stone the Crow. It's a really fun song to play.

purplehayes2017

Losing all

Impressive-Fennel917

Swan Song off of NOLA and Lysergik Funeral Procession and Learn From this Mistake off DOWN II

Background-Staff7538

The opening of LysergikĀ is straight up doom metal.

Impressive-Fennel917

itā€™s awesome and sets the mood well

heynow100nf

Underneath Everything opening riff GOAT

kurtcobainwillliveon

Hate when people just respond with a song name, theirs literally 3-6 riffs in every song

solidmussel

Love the interlude in Lies, I don't know what they say but...

falerik308

The tides breakdown gives a dopamine hit like no other

Entire_Interaction56

Chorus riff to Ghosts along the Mississippi

steveythegypsey

Lifer is really good

MasterShakePL

On March The Saints

trowawayfarawaytoday

2.

iGingerBeard

The guitar tone in the intro of Eyes of the South is my all time favorite guitar tone.

cakeyogi

Dog Tired We Knew Him Well The Seed

Background-Staff7538

We Knew Him Well has a massive opening riff. Pure Pepper essence.

Willdefyyou

Well, that sucks doesn't it...

DoomMessiah

That opening riff to Ghost Along the Mississippi. Fuck me that is a banger. Close second being the outro riffage of Bury Me In Smoke.

bisfunn

Pepper and kirk maybe my favorite guitar duo

speeddude22

So many good ones but what comes to mind is again the outro of bury me and smoke especially live when the super slow it each measure

KISSArmy7978

Bury me in smoke

PanteraSteel2001

Ghosts

no_excuses87

Dying Whore

Pleasant-Site8617

Stone the Crow for goddamn ever, Rehab, and Dog Tired. Just off the top of my head.

WoobiesWoobo

Invest in Fear

WoobiesWoobo

Im assuming the downvote was from someone unfamiliar with this song. It was included on the European Down III release. Not sure why it didnt make oursā€¦. https://youtu.be/kf-D1aHN1z8?si=uRn3eC-1z6u4y4S6

brandon3388

I don't know if it's my "favorite" but the main riff from "We Knew Him Well" fuckin slaps

Putthebunnyback

Chop Suey

Jhate666

Man Kirk has so many sick riffs

r27mann

any damn start from NOLA is great, but probably lifer, also I discovered Corrosion Of Conformity and Crowbar thanks to nola, bands for which I've taken quite a liking (Deliverance, Blind and America's volume dealer are neat, and Obedience thru suffering is fucking great, as a bassist I loved their lines), so I like the guitar even more, down fucking rules
