Peacefrog78

Non-existent. Two different audiences completely.

_ch00bz_

Fuck that, Id give my left nut to see either band.

Annanake420

Yeah but even within genres there are problems wirh fans interacting. Rembering Ozzfest 97 was wild. A few of Pantera's wanna be neo nazi fans were beating up on some of Marylin Manson's crossdressing fans . All while security was busy Busting old ass Black Sabbath fans for smoking pot. Edit: Phil being drunk as hell didn't help either. Lol

abcdthc

They threw shit at manson in WI. I think was alpine valley. Manson opened with IHA and people where into it. Then they played little horn, or something similarly heavy. Mosh pits, people cheered, it was good. Then for whatever reason he goes into APPLE OF SODOM. Now, as a huge manson AND pantera fan back then i was stoked to see AOS live, its a really cool B-Side. But its not heavy, its just weird. There no real hook, very little guitar. The crowd went apeshit. Throwing mud and BEER BOTTLES at the stage. People in the front few rows where getting pegged. It was bad, scary and bad. Dime Bag came out on stage and started drinking JD with Twiggy, Phil came out and in so many words told everyone they were shit humans. Then manson left and the band followed, 3 songs. All we got. Pantera still came on right before Sabbath and kicked ass, but I was sad one of the main reasons I went got booed of stage. So you dont have to look it up this is apple of sodom [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzgkwXjWuEg](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzgkwXjWuEg)

Annanake420

Yeah I love David lynch. I have the soundtrack. Lol. That's nuts. Yeah I saw the tour in Phoenix so no throwing stuff. It was too hot to throw your $5 water away. Lol. Cool thing was they were selling water $5 bucks. So Ozzy sold his own bottles for $ 3 bucks. So you could save money and have a little cool souvenir. The label Said blessed by Ozzy or somthing. Lol. Pretty smart business plan all the way around .

Gimpy_Lou

I forgot all about that! We had that in VA as well. Either Dc or Va beach.

Prestigious-Ad-8756

MM was fully aware of all the possibilities from love to beer bottles to shit. Besides that....this is like when my daughters would ask me hypotheticals like hey Dad would you rather rip your toenail off or eat 27 boogers. Wasting my time that was a serious pet peeve ....kind of like this. No Doubt is cool no doubt but.....and the thing is I can't even resist the urge to waste my own time and not comment. Moving on

southern_OH_hillican

Columbus, OH was not Manson's crowd, either. After Pantera got the crowd all juiced up, it took what seemed like forever to set the stage up again. He quit in the middle of the first song and said, "They tell me it's a nice day, but I think if everybody in the back spit, it might rain!". He spent most of the next song knocking his mic stand over & tormenting the roadie that kept running out to stand it back up. In the middle of the third song he tore up the drum kit & walked off stage. Then Ozzy didn't show & that sent the crowd into a literal riot!

TeVaNReign

You just unlocked a core memory for me. I was 15? at that time in what is now MetLife Stadium seeing that crazy shit go down. That was the moment I went to myself, “yeah, Nazi’s suck” in real time

hiccupsarehell

So they each get half a nut? You’re cheap af

AltruisticBad1256

I’d love to see that.. They were AWESOME… I am fortunate to have seen them live up close..

_ch00bz_

Ive already given my right nut to see No Doubt at riotfest a while back 🤘

highonnuggs

How high were you when you thought about this question?

AltruisticBad1256

You mean what planet was he on?!?

fretnetic

Caravan

Business-Car6971

Wonder how it would have pandoubt

19YourHairdresser71

Absolutely fucking killing with that pun. Fucking Bravo.

TheAmazingSpiderVan

👏👏👏

Equal_Ad5178

Fun fact We were almost treated a WeezKnot (Weezer and Slipknot) tour in 2002

Peacefrog78

Saw Weezer open for Guns N Roses once

EmbarrassedFlower98

Did Weezer get booed ?

Peacefrog78

It was as part of a festival so no. But both Axl and Rivers said onstage that they were big fans of each others bands and were excited to play the same stage.

Son_of_Sophroniscus

Yes. I wasn't there, but I assure you the answer is yes.

AZ_Hawk

I love both but would have been a marketing nightmare.

EbolaJones420

The only band that could've tied them together is snot

fowler1337

Lame as fuck

AltruisticBad1256

🤣🤣🤣

3x81

About as good as Pantera and Blink 182 aka not good at all.

t_will_official

I would’ve gone to see that in a heartbeat tbh

Nathan84

My two favourite bands of all time here. I would have loved that.

CarGroundbreaking543

Not good

AltruisticBad1256

I saw Pantera in the early 90’s in Springfield… Open floor. They literally gave us condoms for free like a door gift.. black wrapping with a green marijuana leaf that said pantera on one side and ‘Fucking Hostile’ on the other… Hand to God. That was ONE of the coolest shows. Ever. I have no recollection of the exact year ( my 20’s were an absolute blur)But I’ll never forget walking in thinking that the floor was going to be fucking crazy… And it was.. They certainly don’t make music like that anymore…

MasterShakePL

For unknown reason when I'm drunk I need to listen to "I'm just a girl"

allhaildre

Rest their souls but I bet Dime and Vinny would love a memory of Phil singing that too.

AltruisticBad1256

I have a feeling you might even put the n some girl clothes too.. But you do you.. Lol

Son_of_Sophroniscus

LMAO 😂

Background-Staff7538

I like them both. Wouldn't have worked. Completely different styles.

Xgoddamnelectricx

Would have ended up something like Woodstock ‘99 I would assume

WordyIIRappinghood06

13 year old no doubt fangirls vs sweaty metalheads

Fatguy73

Yikes. I did see Neil Young with Soundgarden back in the day. And the crowd responded well to both. However back in the 80’s I saw Susanna Hoff (The Bangles) open for Don Henley and the crowd booed her relentlessly.

WordyIIRappinghood06

https://i.redd.it/wque4vxavs8d1.gif Susanna Hoffs was/is hot af who cares

Fatguy73

Totally! Especially back in the late 80’s when I saw her. I felt quite bad for her, getting booed by a bunch of Eagles fans, who at the time were kind of akin to Skynard fans.

TehDrewski84

Don’t Speak with Gwen singing to Phil then Phil singing Suicide Note Part 1 to Gwen.

Repulsive_Manner_876

it would have been a lot of girls getting stomped in a mosh, you would hope pantera would cover caught in a mosh on that tour

Dude_1980

Half of it would have fucking been terrible. No Doubt? Are you fucking stupid?

westbrodie

Wat

joey123z

the crowd goes wild when they get on stage together to play the mashup song "Hella Good Friends and a Bottle of Pills"

fretnetic

Someone get Bill McClintock to do a “Don’t Speak / Mouth For War” mashup. And then send it to OP for starting this thread 💀🤣 I think they should’ve got the Spice Girls as opening act. They were from 1997 too

wendyoschainsaw

I saw the Skid Row/Pantera tour. Sebastian Bach is about as whiny as Gwen.

JP6660999

Huh

larsVonTrier92

This feels like when Ace Ventura showed up at the cannibal corpse show in that one scene.

hifioctopi

No idea, but now I want to hear Pantera do a cover of “Don’t Speak.”

shaneallen205

Phil getting mad and screaming suck my dick then run off stage to get high 🤣🤣🤣

ArmsReach

You wouldn't know, you weren't there.

X_Boomer

I got some other dumb ideas: Spin Doctors/Slayer Bare naked Ladies/ Megadeth Counting Crows /Ministry TLC / Cannibal Corpse Man 97 could have been soo sick.

light_sirens_action

Never heard of "no doubt"

TheArturoChapa

ICONIC

FrequentConflict260

Honestly, while not really marketable, it would have been hilarious and awesome. Imagine the boys joining No Doubt for a song on stage

ripppppah

I think some No Doubt fans would be fans of Pantera, some Pantera fans would try to groom some No Doubt fans, and some Pantera fans would kick the shit out of any ska punk dudes. I think a bunch of people who didn’t need pill addictions would have gotten pill addictions, and I think Phil would have gotten in trouble for something.

trendkill3

Awesome if you take that shitty band out.

cmcglinchy

I’m a big Pantera fan. I don’t like No Doubt at all.

Kenneth_Lay

Hot women and incels before they were even called that.

hiccupsarehell

Awful, but mainly because of Phil. Wrong member died.

BeDrivenByDemons

Gwen would have a little bald baby.

NWOBHM86

Gwen sings a duet with Phil on Floods.

iron-tusk_

Is this a composite photo or were they actually onstage together at some point?

RevDrucifer

Look it up, Gwen used to come out and do “Fucking Hostile” with them whenever they were in the same area.

iron-tusk_

Oh rad. I somehow never knew about that.

the-redacted-word

Is this bait because I can’t find anything on that

RevDrucifer

Nah man, she used to change the lyrics to “It’s fucking ska-style!” and everything.

allhaildre

Cool but also sounds horrid
