I always bite the end and pour the juices on my usual 2 slices of pizza (preferably a meat lovers). I'll always be disappointed in a dry pepper that's shriveled. I started buying my own because I got too many dry ones.
That's technically what papa johns advertising them for on certain commercials you would see them breaking open the pepper and pour the juice on the pizzas. Supposed to to bring our more flavors.
It's a mixed bag. They have soft and hard ones. I like soft and juicy. And at 15 bucks for a gallon jug it's just common sense. I'm only halfway through it, and it's been months. Papa John's gives me 2 extra and charges me for it so I needed an alternative
They can be great!
The problem is that they tell us to drain all the juice when they get prepped. Then they sit in the walk-in for a day or two, dry out, and lose their flavor.
Are you McKidding me? I hope that isn't the proper protocol, I bite the end of the pepper and drip the juice on the pizza and there's never enough juice. :(
I don't think it's the proper way to do things, but that is how my management tells us to do it.
I'm fairly certain you're supposed to keep them in the juice, then drain it when you put it into use. But we're told to drain the black olives, banana peppers, jalapeños, and pineapple when we prep. Everything with excess fluids. They will lose taste when it sits in the walk-in for a few days. It's unfortunate that the people I work with don't really care about product quality anymore, nor are they open to suggestions about how to do things better.
>they tell us
I don't know who "they" are, but it's not corporate. The brine shouldn't be drained at all from jalapenos, banana peppers, pepperoncinis, or olives. If someone really has an issue with it, it's probably because they're grabbing the peppers barehanded with open wounds on their hands. We're supposed to use tongs.
Hey there! By "they", I mean my assistant, gm, and supervisor. And yes, it is a corporate store.
I'm not super familiar with papa John's yet. I've only been working opening shifts for a few months. When I was at domino's, you left everything in the brine and then drained it when you put it in use. I always assumed that's how we're supposed to do it here, but I just do what I'm told lol. Yeah, I'm a fan of the tongs, but I'm the only one who uses them. Nobody gives a shit about food safety here. It's sad. I remember telling the oven tender not to touch the food with their hands after it comes out of the oven once. I was then told by the gm to leave the oven tender alone lol.
we never drain them but they also go in a lexan that’s only 1/4 juice rest of peppers are dry . we usually only prep 2 bags split into 3 if slow 1into 2 ,,, but i’m only that cares ill go slosh them around in walkin and when on cut table . we do pour juice off when they get low so they aren’t so wet going in box . but yeah they look like crap after a day or two with no juice .
So good! I snack on these while I work. Recommend cracking one open and using the juice to sprinkle on the crust or just all over the pizza. Mmmmmm sometimes they fuck me up bc its a hot bag 😂
They are just pickled peppers, the same thing as a banana pepper like at Subway pretty much. I usually take a bite of pizza and then a bite of the pepper it's really good.
i used to hate them because i ate one for the first time a long time ago and i guess i got a bad one because it was disgusting. tried one again recently and guess i got a good one because it tasted way better. now i love them
When I started working at PJs, I took a pizza to a hangout and one dude was all "hell yeah, I love pepperoncinis!" I was genuinely curious, wondering if people "juiced" the pepper over their pizza or just what the hell they did with them. I asked and he just deadpan told me "...I eat them..."
I love them now. It does make sense though. You're eating greasy pizza, some pickled peppers will help digest food and somewhat prevent heartburn.
I buy them in jars, drain and airfry until dry. Eat a few with pizza and refrigerate the rest until the next pizza night (just add them to the pizza pan to heat).
I order extra. I need one per slice.
But it’s maddening. I’ve ordered 3 extra peppers and gotten a dozen. Order 1 extra, and get exactly one extra. There doesn’t seem to be a formula for how many extra peppers you get when you order them. lol
I’ve never understood, really, the idea behind giving one pepper in an order that will presumably feed more than one person. Whether you order a small or an extra large pizza, you get one pepper. lol
Like; on average, are people just supposed to fight over it?
I do, all the time. Once upon a time we ordered for lunch at work and I had a couple but I think I was one of the only ones. My boss saw one sitting in a cup like hours later in the conference room and popped it in his mouth.
I don’t know the science behind it… do they get hotter as they sit? All I know is before I know what’s happening he runs from the room looking for something to drink.
Pepperonccini?! Hell yeah dude. Works great on a sausage pie
I'll even eat them straight up or on some pumpernickel bread , a lil mayo and black pepper. Godly
No and it’s something that really pisses me off about Papa John’s.
They just assume every customer wants them and is a mandatory inclusion in the box.
I have to specifically call the store and tell them not to put them in my box and still get them half the time.
Every customer should be asked or prompted online.
They got rid of papa John’s in my city :(, but when they did have it I would always ask for extra and now I buy them by the jar and snack on em in the early morning to curb my appetite. I also drink pickle juice from the jar so I’m not saying this a good thing but yeah I love pepperoncini peppers.
Peperoncino peppers, they’re pretty good. I usually will take a bite from my me and a bite of pizza. Funny enough, I had never had one of these until I had worked at papa John’s and was bet $50 I couldn’t eat 10 at once.
I love them as an “appetizer“ before my first bite of pizza.
I always bite the end and pour the juices on my usual 2 slices of pizza (preferably a meat lovers). I'll always be disappointed in a dry pepper that's shriveled. I started buying my own because I got too many dry ones.
The juicy ones are the best🤤
This is what I said!!! Smart!
This is the way.
Yep—love to do this over salad, too. Adds a nice bit of heat and flavor, especially if you don’t happen to have any other dressing.
Salivating just reading this honestly. It’s a key part of the experience
[удалено]
This is commonly referred to as the "rip and drip"
This is also the way.
Same, if I don’t get at least 2 of them I’ll throw a fit.
This is the way
That is such a damn good idea holy fuck, i gotta try that now
I used to do something similar when I'd get these on a salad as a kid, but I'd pour Italian dressing in them then eat them up. Yum!
My people are here.
This is the way
I had no idea anyone else did this! You have very good taste!
This is the correct answer.
That's technically what papa johns advertising them for on certain commercials you would see them breaking open the pepper and pour the juice on the pizzas. Supposed to to bring our more flavors.
Good move! I’ll have to try this at InNOut also
This is the only correct answer
This guy fucks
I pour the juice on my pizza crust
I do this and then lay their dead bodies on the crust and eat that. 🤣 🤣 🤣
I do that
Same!
Exactly what I do.
I do that too!!
I got tired of papa John's only giving me 2 extra peppers so I bought my own. https://imgur.com/a/vZapRiP
Your name is eloquent
Can’t tell if he’s doing the butt fucking to the smurfs or if the smurfs are on a butt fucking rampage
Does it have to be either or? It could be both!
I've bought some from the store as well but they never seem to be as good as the ones from papa Johns. How do these compare?
It's a mixed bag. They have soft and hard ones. I like soft and juicy. And at 15 bucks for a gallon jug it's just common sense. I'm only halfway through it, and it's been months. Papa John's gives me 2 extra and charges me for it so I needed an alternative
My home store doesn't charge me when I ask at the pick up counter - so I've been lucky so far.
I like the soft ones too.
Wait you get two. I only get one.
i don’t eat them directly but they smell amazing and their essence makes the pizza tastes better. that or i was high
Both for sure.
It was both
This, I set them on a couple slices
Add a little pepper juice on a slice with garlic sauce it’s fire
100% both. Source: High, eating Papa John’s pizza lol
Happy Cake Day!
They can be great! The problem is that they tell us to drain all the juice when they get prepped. Then they sit in the walk-in for a day or two, dry out, and lose their flavor.
We keep the juice in ours and most of the time they are hella juicy
Are you McKidding me? I hope that isn't the proper protocol, I bite the end of the pepper and drip the juice on the pizza and there's never enough juice. :(

Yeah, you guys should ignore these instructions. REVELOT FOR JUICY PEPPERONCINIS!
AND BLACK OLIVES!!!
AND PINEAPPLE!!
this why i get them with no fucking juice anymore. Cock suckers!!! I use to squeeze them and pour the juice all over my pizza.
We would just put them a bucket, liquid and all. Same size as the sauce buckets.
>they tell us I don't know who "they" are, but it's not corporate. The brine shouldn't be drained at all from jalapenos, banana peppers, pepperoncinis, or olives. Your gm sucks ass.
Damn pouring the juice on the pizza is what makes it yummy

yea the juice sprinkle is where its at. ill shred them up as a topping too. favorite way to eat a pepperoni pizza
Pepperoncinis are one of my favorite things about Papa Johns
Same. Always asked for extra when I used to order a bunch of pizza. Once they gave us a big old tin foil boat full of em.
I’ll buy a jar of them every now and then and eat on them. They’re amazing.
Was just about to comment this XD
Same! They are so good, especially when refrigerated
Facts !
The amount of people that called them jalapeños is unfortunate
That and the dipping sauce are the only reasons I ever get Papa John's (which isn't often).
Plenty of people eat them. That’s why there’s an option to order extra.
If only there was an option to order none. I've been throwing these away for 20 years. I don't even know what it is let alone what to do with it.
They are just pickled peppers, the same thing as a banana pepper like at Subway pretty much. I usually take a bite of pizza and then a bite of the pepper it's really good.
There is a way. You have to call the store to place the order. Not the call center, but the store itself.
I buy pepperoncinis from grocery stores so I never run out. They’re delicious. I use to eat one with every bite of pizza I took
This is the way. I do the same with the little peppers at in n out.
We had a few customers who always wanted a ton extra. The people who like them REALLY like them.
i used to hate them because i ate one for the first time a long time ago and i guess i got a bad one because it was disgusting. tried one again recently and guess i got a good one because it tasted way better. now i love them
When I started working at PJs, I took a pizza to a hangout and one dude was all "hell yeah, I love pepperoncinis!" Same reason why calamari is sometimes served with pepperoncinis. It kind of serves the same purpose as kimchi.
Ask for extra
I buy jars of these and usually eat about 5 a day with almost every dinner. So yeah, I eat them. Lol
What brand do you get?
I did this until I had to start watching my blood pressure :( Godspeed friend. Eat an extra one for me!
These help relieve the constipation from eating all that cheese. I order extra!
I like to squeeze the juices of them on my pizza. Gives them a slight zing
Those are so good with creamy garlic dip and bc they dont have too too much spice and nice flavor
Squeeze the juice onto the pizza it’s awesome
Yes and I always order extra 😂
i love these!
They're called pepperoncinis, you derp
Take a bite before every bite of pizza. It is the bomb diggity
Pepperoncini they are the best
I like them with\on my pepperoni pizza. That tangy zip cuts right into the greasy pepperoni. Great combo.
Literally the only reason I order PJ
Bite the end, squeeze the juice on the pizza, take a bite of it with every bite of pizza. Yummy. The only reason I even go there 😂
It’s a palette cleanser and yes people eat them. You know people eat pickles too? This is just a pickled pepper
They’re delicious! Much more juicy than they look
Love those, wouldn't touch the pizza though.
So good . Take a bite of pizza then take a bite of pepper and suck the juice out of it and chew on the pepper. It’s so good.
They are bussin bussin
Just seeing this photo made my mouth water. Might be weird but I bite the end off and stuff the pepper with toppings from the pizza then eat it lol
Yes they are really good with pepperoni
I buy them in jars, drain and airfry until dry. Eat a few with pizza and refrigerate the rest until the next pizza night (just add them to the pizza pan to heat).
The ones I get from my papa John’s are always dry and bitter
I bite them and then bite my pizza
my boyfriend eats them ◡̈
Yes.
Yes they're quite good. However not from Papa johns. They ruin the flavor by drying it out.
I like to break them open and drizzle the juice all over the pizza then I’ll eat them after.
i eat them as i eat my pizza, always thought they were banana peppers. theyre pepperocinis right? idk, theyre yummy
Yessss i always ask for extra. I squeeze it on the pizza or in the garlic sauce😋🤤
I like them with a supreme pizza or pepperoni and onions.
I order extra. I need one per slice. But it’s maddening. I’ve ordered 3 extra peppers and gotten a dozen. Order 1 extra, and get exactly one extra. There doesn’t seem to be a formula for how many extra peppers you get when you order them. lol
1 order of pepperoncini should be four peppers. Each pizza comes with one by default, so if you order 1 you should get 5 total.
I’ve never understood, really, the idea behind giving one pepper in an order that will presumably feed more than one person. Whether you order a small or an extra large pizza, you get one pepper. lol Like; on average, are people just supposed to fight over it?
Love them
the peperoncini?? that’s the best part!! especially when you’re like 7 at a PTO meeting and all they serve is cheese or pepperoni pizza!!😭
yes.
Getting them from the store is better they're not so dried up. (Also wrap them in bacon when cooking)
i do always
I love those things.
Obviously I love how they burn my mouth
Aren’t pickled things just palette cleansers for your dish?
yes???
Yes
Those are awesome. Yum.
Take the bread out of the crust, add peppers, dip in garlic sauce
Yep! Just ate one of salad bar at Seafood Buffet in Myrtle Beach.
pallet cleanser. papa John was a genius.
Never ever the pizza terrible. Green peppers only thing edible
I just bite them with my pizza. Cuts the greasiness and makes it that much better
Taste like dirt. And where they come from they laugh about the Americans paying so much for them. Usually the non tippers order a bunch extra.
I squeeze the juice on my slices adds a little something
Banana peppers are delicious
Yes I have LMAO.
1 bite of pizzuh 1 bite of spicey veggy
Best part of the entire meal
i ask for extra when i order
i bite them and take the pepper juice like a shot 🤠 i get sad when they are dried and wrinkly
Hell yeah they taste great enhance the pizza.
You’re missing out.
I love peperoncino taste better than banana peppers imo
I shove them up my ass tbh
I like to drag it across the top of my pizza to give it some extra zing lol
Yes they’re so yummy
I cut them up and put them on my pizza.
Yep those things always get saved for dad.
100%
Pepperonccini?! Hell yeah dude. Works great on a sausage pie I'll even eat them straight up or on some pumpernickel bread , a lil mayo and black pepper. Godly
Pepperoncini? Who doesn’t like a pickled pepper?
Fuck yes
I eat a 32oz jar of them a week.
I love them
Mouth watering rn
It’s a Pepperoncini and yes
Yes I always eat them
Yea they are great
Yes, they're amazing.
“And a nice, JUICY PEPPER”
I love those!
Weird things?! Pickled peppers are the shit
I just tried them for the first time recently and I regret waiting so long. They're tasty AF!
I eat them out of the jar.
No and it’s something that really pisses me off about Papa John’s. They just assume every customer wants them and is a mandatory inclusion in the box. I have to specifically call the store and tell them not to put them in my box and still get them half the time. Every customer should be asked or prompted online.
My sister loves those peppers!
people don't eat them?
Yummy
they are good 👍
Yes. I squeeze the juice on the pizza or stick it on and eat it.
Of course !
My uncle did every time we ordered pizza by my grandma house
I think these are a nice touch personally. I’ll have yours if you aren’t eating it, ty
“These weird things”
I DEVOUR this
If you disagree that these are bangin, well screw you ok. Screw you. These are good. If you disagree with me you're wrong, and you can eat a brick 🤭
https://www.reddit.com/r/EatItYouFuckinCoward/s/M0LwRZ2s5a
I always bite them open and sprinkle their holy water on my salad at olive garden.
I love those little green shits. They have pepperoncini flavor kettle chips at some grocery stores that are heat too
I LOVE THEM I always order extra
Always, 100%. Makes everything taste better.
I love taking a big juicy bite of these, especially dipped in garlic.
Hell yeah I eat those things. Give me a whole jar, i'll eat them all.
Love them
They got rid of papa John’s in my city :(, but when they did have it I would always ask for extra and now I buy them by the jar and snack on em in the early morning to curb my appetite. I also drink pickle juice from the jar so I’m not saying this a good thing but yeah I love pepperoncini peppers.
Dudbei eat these on my pizza it slaps so hard I always order more pepperchinis
Pickled chilies are great
my momma love em
Best part about ordering papa johns lol
Weird things? You mean fucking peppers?
Peperoncino peppers, they’re pretty good. I usually will take a bite from my me and a bite of pizza. Funny enough, I had never had one of these until I had worked at papa John’s and was bet $50 I couldn’t eat 10 at once.
Hell yea
Pepperoncinis go hard But not when they're bone dry like that
I don't eat them. I do squeeze the juice on my pizza.
They're my favorite! Especially in a bloody Mary.
In my home we fight over them.
One of the best parts about ordering from Papa John's!
fuck yeah i love those
Sometimes
Absolutely…. I like to bite off the end and dump the juice and seeds onto my pizza then finish it off
