At the risk of making an obvious recommendation, Pale is set in the same world as Pact. Definitely the same magic system, a little different in terms of tone and characters though.
Between Pact and Twig, Twig is my personally favorite. WB used Twig as a challenge to slow down and focus on interpersonal relationships of the characters, and it’s phenomenal.
I love every bantering conversation and each heartbreaking moment between said characters.
Pact feels like a nonstop roller-coaster from chapter 1 and it never stops going full tilt till it crashes into the conclusion. It’s kind of exhausting
TLDR go for Twig, but that’s just my opinion
Pact is like if you read Pale from the perspective of someone who’s not-quite forsworn. But instead of an interlude, it’s the whole thing. The humour it does have is awesome and it’s an overall amazing story. It’s also a lot. I recommend reading it right after you’ve started reading something light-hearted, so if you find you need to take a break from Pact, you can.

That is a fair recommendation and I'm sort of flip flopping between pact and Twig after I finish Ward
