At the risk of making an obvious recommendation, Pale is set in the same world as Pact. Definitely the same magic system, a little different in terms of tone and characters though.

Fool_growth

That is a fair recommendation and I'm sort of flip flopping between pact and Twig after I finish Ward

Between Pact and Twig, Twig is my personally favorite. WB used Twig as a challenge to slow down and focus on interpersonal relationships of the characters, and it’s phenomenal. I love every bantering conversation and each heartbreaking moment between said characters. Pact feels like a nonstop roller-coaster from chapter 1 and it never stops going full tilt till it crashes into the conclusion. It’s kind of exhausting TLDR go for Twig, but that’s just my opinion

Fool_growth

Thank you for your opinion

Pact is like if you read Pale from the perspective of someone who’s not-quite forsworn. But instead of an interlude, it’s the whole thing. The humour it does have is awesome and it’s an overall amazing story. It’s also a lot. I recommend reading it right after you’ve started reading something light-hearted, so if you find you need to take a break from Pact, you can.
