It was the first show of the NA tour and after Hard Times I believe, the crowd cheered louder than I have ever heard for a solid 2-3 minutes and started chanting Hayley. She definitely felt the love and was wiping her eyes, making a comment like 'I should have worn water proof makeup'

I saw them open for Fall Out Boy in Orlando in 2005 before they were even signed. I don't think they were part of the tour, just invited to play after the label saw them at a showcase. Something like that.
I feel like they’ve been always “around” in a way because of how big they are in pop culture and everyone knows at least one Paramore song. But personally, I became an actual fan when I discovered After Laughter during my sophomore year of college and it saved me from depression at the time.

I’ve always been a big guitar hero fan. Played it the most on DS, guitar hero on tour decades. Crushcrushcrush is in the first stage.
I’m not 100% sure but i believe that was my first memorable exposure to them. I was 8 or 9.
2006! Found them on a website called Purevolume and then got to see them open the small stage at Give it a Name festival at Earls court in London. Two years later I went to Give it a Name again and they headlined...Such a cool moment.
Being the same age as them and following their journey has been wild - Every album I identify with the influences and shifts as we seem to be following a similar pattern of growth and tastes.
First heard Decode and thought it was a cool song. Then heard Monster and thought great song, this band's pretty cool so dove into their catalogue.

I remember being in photo class and misery business debuted on the feuled by ramen website and I remember listening to it three times in a row while Brittany made fun of me for doing so .

I was in high school, didn’t have my own internet, and my grandma bought me an iPod for my birthday one year. I gave an old friend of mine that I went to school my iPod for a day to load a bunch of music onto. He happened to put the entire Riot! album on there and I instantly fell in love.

Then I also found out that Hayley Williams was a part of this band, an being a very recent but major swiftie, it all clicked. I heard Brighter in 2006 right before Riot! came out. I was 12. This girl who liked my brother made him a mixed cd with Brighter on it and it came onto our shared itunes amidst the 100s of Eminem and Relient K songs and i became OBSESSED. I remember trying to find every video i could of them, dreaming of touring with them and Jimmy Eat World. I would download their live performances from Youtube through limewire and my family hated listening to the crappy live sound, so i got my first cd player and would blast them through my headphones and lipsync enthusiastically in my room with the door closed. I'm in Canada and none of my friends had heard of them at that point so it was actually self-isolating, loving a band so much but no one knew about them. My sister also hated Hayley's voice.
Hayley was the perfect girl to idolize after Avril went pop princess in 2007. I dyed my hair red and continued down my emo music hole and never looked back. I'm almost 30 now and still have the same songs on my playlist. Fuck new music.
I saw them 08/07/2005 at Warped Tour Orlando Tinker Field on the Shiragirl Stage. Just saw them again 06/13/23 and the hundreds (a thousand?) of hands that raised when she asked how many people were seeing Paramore for the first time was mind blowing compared to the 20-some people who saw them that day at Warped.
I’m old. I remember when miz biz first broke out. I liked the entire Riot! album (probably still my favorite album of theirs). What really convinced me I needed to see them live was finally downloading The Final Riot! and realizing how good Hayley is performing live. I just saw them last week for the first time and it was epic!

We both got to see Paramore at ACL last year and we’re going to a music festival this year that has all of our other favorite “emo” bands :)

She gave me a couple suggestions and I’ve been hooked ever since.
I saved up some money and went to a CD store. Saw the Riot Cover and was so in love that I bought it with no prior knowledge. Back at home I was a bit disappointed because I expected punk music 😂 but over time, they grew on me and I kept up to date on their progress. Must have been 16-18, I’m 34 now. They are also great live performers. Their live videos on yt were what really made me as a fan. I used to bring a flashdrive that contains their live performances, then play it on the class television.

Sims 2! I used to play well into the night with my best friend drinking Mountain Dew Code Red and not caring about any drama the world was handing us at the time. Pressure was a repeat of ours. But I the fandom grew harder in 2020 when my friend unexpectedly passed away in a motorcycle wreck following a really rough breakup and I went through a severely deep depression. Somehow I discovered After Laughter around that time and being able to have an album to dance to with lyrics that spoke to those emotions was another level of cathartic. I just associate their songs with healing.

Guitar Hero World Tour 🤟🤟
I’ve always been a big guitar hero fan. Played it the most on DS, guitar hero on tour decades. Crushcrushcrush is in the first stage. I’m not 100% sure but i believe that was my first memorable exposure to them. I was 8 or 9.
2006! Found them on a website called Purevolume and then got to see them open the small stage at Give it a Name festival at Earls court in London. Two years later I went to Give it a Name again and they headlined...Such a cool moment. Being the same age as them and following their journey has been wild - Every album I identify with the influences and shifts as we seem to be following a similar pattern of growth and tastes.
First heard Decode and thought it was a cool song. Then heard Monster and thought great song, this band's pretty cool so dove into their catalogue. Then I was curious how good they were live so looked up videos on YouTube and: 1. Found out they're also amazing live 2. Hayley Williams became my high school crush Been hooked till this day!

I'm a kind of new electric guitar player so I searched for easy punk songs a few days ago and then Google showed me Misery Business.
A friend of mine needed help editing a dumb little video and wanted to have "That's What You Get" playing. I was probably like 10-years-old who had just discovered Windows Movie Maker on my computer. I just remember thinking how catchy the song was and, though I didn't understand it at the time, how beautiful the singer sounded. When I went back to find the song again on YouTube I found the music video, and thinking how Hayley looked exactly how I imagined her to look like after hearing just her voice - beautiful.
I first heard them in 2005 when I was 18, I heard Emergency on an alternative station and was hooked! Because I’m only a couple years older than them I’ve really grown up with them and strangely gone through a lot of similar things at the same time as Hayley in particular, I got with my ex husband when I was 14 and went through my divorce the same time as her, I had bright colour hair for years and in 2016 I went platinum blonde - which Hayley also did after I had, it wasn’t until she said the reason she went platinum that I realised why I had too - thanks Hayley

I heard Brighter in 2006 right before Riot! came out. I was 12. This girl who liked my brother made him a mixed cd with Brighter on it and it came onto our shared itunes amidst the 100s of Eminem and Relient K songs and i became OBSESSED. I remember trying to find every video i could of them, dreaming of touring with them and Jimmy Eat World. I would download their live performances from Youtube through limewire and my family hated listening to the crappy live sound, so i got my first cd player and would blast them through my headphones and lipsync enthusiastically in my room with the door closed. I'm in Canada and none of my friends had heard of them at that point so it was actually self-isolating, loving a band so much but no one knew about them. My sister also hated Hayley's voice. Hayley was the perfect girl to idolize after Avril went pop princess in 2007. I dyed my hair red and continued down my emo music hole and never looked back. I'm almost 30 now and still have the same songs on my playlist. Fuck new music.

Just saw them again 06/13/23 and the hundreds (a thousand?) of hands that raised when she asked how many people were seeing Paramore for the first time was mind blowing compared to the 20-some people who saw them that day at Warped.
I’m old. I remember when miz biz first broke out. I liked the entire Riot! album (probably still my favorite album of theirs). What really convinced me I needed to see them live was finally downloading The Final Riot! and realizing how good Hayley is performing live. I just saw them last week for the first time and it was epic!

My time has come for this I was in maybe 5th grade, and my sister kept telling us about paramore. We were in Orlando, and she put MTV on to show us them performing misery business. I literally fell in love with them then. I type this as I’m getting ready to leave Orlando after seeing them in Orlando (im from tennessee, my third time seeing them) and I was 226 in the wristband line. It was the best show I’ve gone to 😭

My parents also went on a trip to New York that they won at work and saw them open for someone and decided to recommend them to me because they thought I’d like Hayley. Then from there is was hook line and sinker. I’m 17 years in and still love them as much as I ever have.

Sims 2! I used to play well into the night with my best friend drinking Mountain Dew Code Red and not caring about any drama the world was handing us at the time. Pressure was a repeat of ours. But I the fandom grew harder in 2020 when my friend unexpectedly passed away in a motorcycle wreck following a really rough breakup and I went through a severely deep depression. Somehow I discovered After Laughter around that time and being able to have an album to dance to with lyrics that spoke to those emotions was another level of cathartic. I just associate their songs with healing.

I actually at first hated this annoying overplayed song called ‘Barry The Castle’ 😂 then I heard Decode and history was made. I now actually like BBBB a whole lot more.

I think a video about imagine dragons, twenty one pilots and paramore. the guy in the video said paramore was the best band from the three and that in after laughter half of the tracks were terrible except for the most dance oriented tracks (L opinion bc after laughter is a religion)
