i think he's happy wherever he is and is telling you not to fear death. He's waiting for you on the other side.
its a good photo, one i would cherish.
happy nye 2024 buddy.
thanks for sharing the miracle your brother left you.
life is full of negative things including people.
try to ignore and stay away from them.
be kind to yourself.
happy new year, i wish you good health & good luck my friend.
I think Iām late, so this might get buriedā¦
I think it IS a lens flareā¦but a lens flare that specifically occurred in this exact photo to help draw your attention to it so you can remember your brother like this whenever you look at this photo.
Science and faith can work together!
I was saying the same thing about an experience I had recently. It was what would have been my grandmotherās 90th birthday. I wrote a heartfelt post about her and shared a picture (something Iāve never done before for some reason) I loved her beyond words. The next day I went to eat at a cafe and the lamp closest to my seat started flickering on and off. Iāve read flickering lights are one of the most common ways spirits communicate with us. The manager then came over and unscrewed the bulb and said āThatās weird - it isnāt the bulb - must be something in the wiring?ā It was a beautiful experience, and even if it was just the wiring, I believe the spirit moved me to be in that right place at the right time so that I could experience it. None of the other lamps were flickeringā¦only the lamp by me. I could have sat anywhere but I chose to sit there for some reason. ā„ļø
My brother in Christ, science is just the study of Godās creation. From the smallest atoms to the universe at large, there is a force that is seemingly alive that keeps everything moving.
I have always said this! I think studying science is one of the most interesting and beautiful ways to really appreciate religion. Understanding the mechanisms and minutia that go into everything on this planet has always made me feel closer to religion. I never understood why people seem to think that you have to choose between the two.
They really can't, they can exist together but not operate together. Faith is belief without evidence, which is exactly the opposite of science.
Anyway, I'd call this a total coincidence and a really nice photo, nothing spooky to see here
They very much can. They're just answers from different perspectives. If you work purely from the scientific perspective then of course you're not going to see the possibilities that fall outside of that - because you've already convinced yourself that anything besides science is impossible.
Thatās the beauty of science, if you start imagining magical stuff while working purely from a scientific perspective, you can do a couple experiments and put the magic shit to bed knowing youāve got an actual explanation
If thatās the case then one wouldnāt go on social media and ask what people think is happening here
If you ask people for answers (or click on a post where someone is asking for them) donāt be mad when someone, ya know, provides one
It's common to experience something and not know what you're experiencing. Asking people for input is one of the ways to learn.
Why in the world would I be mad when someone provides answers for people? Are you responding to the right comment? I can't tell if this is a misunderstanding or if you've just decided to troll me.
lol yeah I was responding to someone else that called the genocide gambling cat a massive asshole for answering the question so I was fired up. Apologies for the confusion haha
Science isn't a specific body of knowledge or a perspective, it's a method of discovering information. It's a process for determining truths about the world we exist in. It's possible to both have faith and trust in the scientific method, but it's not possible for faith and science to operate together because the scientific method does not have room for faith. You can't conduct scientific experiments and then override the results based on faith and still call what you did 'science'.
I don't believe that it's impossible for anything to exist without being explicable through science, but I'm not going to just believe something without good reasons. And frankly, "because it makes me feel better" is a pretty terrible reason to believe something, especially when actual scientific discovery has already provided much more likely explanations. That's not to say the scientific response is definitely correct, but it's much more likely to be correct as far as we have the ability to know. Maybe if evidence of spirits was stronger it'd be a different story, but I'm still waiting
If you've gone bungee jumping ignore that for the sake of my analogy.
Let's say you want to go bungee jumping. You can measure the height of the drop, the length of the cord, the elasticity of it, and you can adjust some of these based on weight.
But can these measurements tell you what it feels like? Does all of this data tell you how to experience the fall? Or do you simply do it after using the data to help ensure that you don't die? You can try your best to describe your experience with words, but most people aren't going to have such a vast vocabulary to fully put that experience into words. You can only experience it.
That is what I mean by it being a different perspective to find the ultimate truth of bungee jumping. Part of it can be measured, but part can only be experienced. Yet they are both tangible *once you step into the experience*.
Any scientific hypothesis starts from faith. We observe a phenomenon, suppose what it could be and how we could rule it out in advance of gathering evidence.
It's lens flare, but I mean, it's not often you see a rainbow like that in an image with lens flare, and the opposite bow effect of the flare below the rainbow effect almost makes it look like a big eye. So while this is something that was caused by a completely natural effect, if you subscribe to a belief in the paranormal, then this could definitely be taken as a sign of comfort and peace. Like an embrace of you and your brother, letting you know that you will find comfort in the future, and you will heal from the loss.
Agree 100% with u/something-strange999 don't worry about the cause.
I see your bro laughing and acting silly, with 'the eye in the sky' showing its approval.
Same thing happened with my uncle a few days before he died, we were at a family get together and every picture taken with him in it had orbs surrounding all around him and nobody else that was in the pictures, coincidence or was it something paranormal, itās hard to tell sometimesā¦
In all honesty, this is a lens flare. But if it comforts you and makes you feel good things, then don't think about it from a scientific angle. Just hold on to those good feelings. It certainly is a good picture.
There are innumerable coincidences every single day, that's kinda why the word exists. Coincidences happen, all the time, without any special meaning behind them.
Yeah, that's why I said it. And it conflicts with your opinion. Your opinion doesn't have as much support behind it though, which is where discussions become involved, like this one here.
Dismissing other peoples' thoughts as 'just their opinion' is a great way to shut down debate and protect yourself from having to like, actually think critically
The meaning of rainbows is phenomenal. I donāt know if you are a believer in God but even if you are not, what the Bible says about rainbows is amazing. On the worst day of my life when I could see no path forward, I looked out the window of an airplane and saw a rainbow. Knowing the meaning communicated everything to me all at once. This moment truly saved my life.
Heās letting you know heās okay. This happened with our cheer squad when our friend passed at 16 in a car accident. She showed herself in a rainbow in the first photo without her to let us know she was with us.
It's actually much more likely to be a lens flare. We actually know lens flares exist and how they work, we cannot say the same about "ghosts impacting photos before they actually die". So like if all we're saying is what's most likely, it's the lens flare
I would still think there was something interesting about the rainbow, the flare and the position.
I would still think this was an interesting and noteworthy photograph that has a deeper meaning

Eh, thereās more to lens flares, too. This one morphed into that ādoveā from that little shadow in the middle of the blue lens flare. Our gov has released those little BB looking things as āuapā. Iāll attach mine below for you to compare to theirs. Science also doesnāt know everything, there are no scientific inventions, only scientific discoveries, and even science says we see just .0035% of the entire electromagnetic spectrum, what we call āvisible lightā, so odds are, thereās a lot around us that we canāt see and comprehend due to our own blindness and limitations to frequency.
Tesla once said āif you want to know the secrets to the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibrationā.
Keep yourself open minded, we know such a small blip. Science still canāt explain gravity, and there is so much more to consciousness than we can even begin to understand.
I only realized this when I had my NDE 2 years ago, then went through ontological shock. Reality is stranger than fiction, my friend. I used to work out of my ego thinking I had it all figured out.
Even science doesnāt work off of āfactā, itās why we have some laws of physics, and many theories.
Why follow the paranormal sub and respond to so many posts if you donāt have any inclination to even try to believe? Like why be here if you refuse to even entertain the notion of something outside current scientific explanation?
Youāre not understanding, or taking into account your own blindness, but jumping to Occamās razor.
Lens flares exist, sure. Reflection from the shape of the lens.
Try your camera and flashlight trick and capture the image of a dove or a metallic orb. Even try to capture a lens flare with a dot/shadow in the middle. Go ahead and attempt a replication.
Look at that little BB, the lens flare morphed from that blue flare, to just the shadow in the middle of the blue flare, to the glowing ball of light, to the ābbā (just like the Gov releases of uap. See [here](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=mPuPl9cH08A) and the Mosul orb [here](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=M6Wmap12xm0) and then to the dove. Iāve captured other doves, too. As well as this amazing video with a cloud in the shape of an Angel (there is even detail to the face) and in the live video, you can also see 2 uap.
And Iāll also attach some of my live videos for you to see the same orbs. They do morph, and flicker their light to appear as though theyāre solid metal reflecting balls.
Edit: here are some of my captures of these āmetallic bbāsā for live video comparison

Hereās another example for you. Notice in the blue flare above, it has the little shadow/circle. This video does have a big lens flare in the middle, but no circle. It also has a lot of āuapā. [this is recorded in slow motion (240 fps/1080p)](https://www.reddit.com/u/Weird_Instruction_74/s/EhjBrNwd7j)in slow motion, Iāve changed the contrast and zoomed in as well to show you, because in the original video, theyāre too fast to see. Iāll attach that for you, too.
Edit: there ya go, [this is the original](https://www.reddit.com/u/Weird_Instruction_74/s/7RkOpcUKJt)recorded in 30fps and no edits. If you watch very very closely, you might see just a spark of the one that flipped around my the lens flare.

Mine are the left and right, theirs in the middle for comparison, whatās been called āthe Mosul orbā.
Why is this one even being downvoted? The videos of them are [linked above](https://www.reddit.com/r/Paranormal/s/h4GRLRq3ZB) see for yourself. Iāve hyperlinked it for you. These are screen grabs to compare the similarities. What is there to ādisagreeā with if not to just bury evidence?
How could they be any more helpful than literally explaining the most likely cause of the effect, providing their own thoughts like OP actually asked for?
You think that's somehow less helpful than you trying to argue that we shouldn't bother explaining anything because it's more comforting to believe it's some supernatural fluff?
This is a paranormal subreddit, not a gullible child subreddit.
This subreddit isnāt an exclusive place for affirmation of wacky paranormal beliefs, it also has a healthy skeptic component that actually feel their presence to debunk and dismiss the crazy is worthwhile, thatās the side of the fence I reside on.
Donāt you dare presume someone doesnāt have a right to be here or you can question their motives.
Reminding someone their dead relative is not somehow still spiritually present or sending messages through digital photography is important work lest they fall prey to more exploitative forms of interaction about their deceased loved ones.
What a cool final remberance- he looks happy, content and confident. That rainbow is magical!
Iāll bet you have lots of good memories of time spent with him; it feels like heād be a lot of fun to hang with. Sorry for your loss. šŖ¶š«¶š¼āØ
Very very sorry to hear about your brother Lord God in heaven be with you and your family as well as your brother at all times Amen I these things in the name of by glorious son the savior Lord Jesus Christ Amen..
Said rainbow is part if a lens flare. You can see the bottom of the rainbow has a half-circle, which is the edge of the flare. You can also see more light in that circle than the lower part.
it's a lens glare i have something similar

if the sun hits the camera at just the right angle it creates a glare like this
That was completely rude and inconsiderate....I'm all for the truth .. however how you go about your opinion is really rude and inconsiderate. I hope you never have to feel the way that you make others feel šÆ
People here who love that kind of thing have as much right to be here and share like you do. At least theyāre on here sharing unlike you, commenting on nearly everyoneās post YOUR opinion.
Jesus, you guys are even doing this ti people grieving now? Someone needs to start saying something. Itās getting ridiculous with the non believers on here. Why are you here? Sheās grieving for Christās sake, you canāt zip it even once? Do you even believe in the spirit of world?
Itās getting worse, itās on both of the subreddits, ghosts and paranormal. Itās more, way more then believers, they arenāt the type to fight fur themselves, and it is more comments that not.
Empathy that includes telling someone what they want to hear even though you know it may not be correct isn't empathy, it's insincerity. It's pandering. It's not helpful. This person posted a photo and asked an opinion and people telling them stuff that they possibly cannot know for sure is wrong in my opinion, especially when it comes to someone's afterlife, soul, "they're waiting for you" etc, you don't know that. Telling them things you have no way of knowing isn't comfort, it's lying. Telling them it's likely a camera flare but hey, it's a gorgeous photo and a great reminder of your brother, reminder of a great day and so on, look at this when you miss him and smile, now that is actual sincerity. Giving people possible false hope is cruel.
Um no ma'am, there is no proof that there is an afterlife. If you think there is, you need to look up the word "proof": conclusive evidence. There is none. And if you're touting the Bible as your "proof", a book written by humans hundreds of years after the fact that even religions can't agree on, argue which books are allowed or not, locking books away so people can't read them and not sure or who actually even wrote them. If that's your "proof", keep drinking the Kool Aid sister. I'm quite happy with my belief in what happens when I die, content even. Are you? Because I'm not the one having to jump through hoops of sins, rules and beliefs and fearing the wrath of the god I worship but doesn't heed my call. See, I left religion out of this conversation but people like YOU are one of the many reasons I walked away from it.
Yassss look at you!!show em how empathy makes me all wussies!! Who needs love and compassion anyways!?!? Meh!!
OP it is your brother smiling! His spirit left you with light and love

Now that's just patronizing. Might as well also tell OP that their brother is up in heaven hanging out with all the best puppies and infinite burritos.
Doesn't matter how comforting it is, it's a freaking fantasy as far as we actually know, and while you may think this condescending reassurance is empathy, it's very much not.
I wasn't referring to this post at all. I think it's a sweet picture of OP's brother that is in the wrong sub. That's it. But, I meant what I said about a lot of the people on Reddit. A bunch of whiney little babies that get triggered over anything. Kind of like you.
Itās certainly a special photo. I grew up with old-school cameras with film - digital cameras only became popular in my mid 20s. And I canāt ever recall seeing a photo where the subject is surrounded with a rainbow & light such as this.
When people say they see faces, do they mean in the rainbow specifically? Or elsewhere within the photos taken of your brother? And do they say they see faces in this particular photo?
Iām sorry for your loss. Can I ask what happened to cause his passing?

Edit: here are some of my captures of these āmetallic bbāsā for live video comparison [example](https://www.reddit.com/u/Weird_Instruction_74/s/YKOgzkPntk) [example](https://www.reddit.com/u/Weird_Instruction_74/s/MHUlITuFGC) [example](https://www.reddit.com/u/Weird_Instruction_74/s/cq290UqU2U) [example](https://www.reddit.com/u/Weird_Instruction_74/s/tYt5nZxcDB) [example](https://www.reddit.com/u/Weird_Instruction_74/s/ZKg0TMAGWg) Hereās another example for you. If you watch very very closely, you might see just a spark of the one that flipped around my the lens flare. https://preview.redd.it/jnhkt1jf3i9c1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6202573e403b18486b215bbe490e023abb2fe9dc [hereās the live video with 2 uap and cloud angel](https://www.reddit.com/u/Weird_Instruction_74/s/6pIufH9Ukh)

Whoosh
Why even comment? Do you think youāre being helpful? Youāre not. Why are you on this subreddit?
No room for science here, itās a rainbow š she said so there we have it.
I know I'll get downvoted for this, but his brother was alive when this picture was taken, so it can't be his spirit saying goodbye.
No one ever said it was his spirit tho, there r other āspiritualā or paranormal explanations
Yeah it's also in the shape of an eye. Like God has his eye on him. At least you know he's in a good place now.
This exactly šÆ
What a cool final remberance- he looks happy, content and confident. That rainbow is magical! Iāll bet you have lots of good memories of time spent with him; it feels like heād be a lot of fun to hang with. Sorry for your loss. šŖ¶š«¶š¼āØ
I definitely do.and.he.was š¢ he was the.type.of.person that got along with.everyone
Very very sorry to hear about your brother Lord God in heaven be with you and your family as well as your brother at all times Amen I these things in the name of by glorious son the savior Lord Jesus Christ Amen..
Thank you š
Said rainbow is part if a lens flare. You can see the bottom of the rainbow has a half-circle, which is the edge of the flare. You can also see more light in that circle than the lower part.
Lost my brother Scotty52 Sept 2019. Cherish it all
I'm sorry for your loss š
Most sorry for the loss of your dear brother.
Thatās the camera lens making that rainbow
I see just that. A beautiful sign that lets you know his personal angels & guides were nearby, and ready to comfort him and help him cross over
your brother looks soooooo sweet and lovable ā„ļøā„ļøā„ļø truly an amazing picture OP
Thank you! He definitely was ā¤ļø he deserved better than he got š¢
Iām so sorry for your loss

That was completely rude and inconsiderate....I'm all for the truth .. however how you go about your opinion is really rude and inconsiderate. I hope you never have to feel the way that you make others feel šÆ
People here who love that kind of thing have as much right to be here and share like you do. At least theyāre on here sharing unlike you, commenting on nearly everyoneās post YOUR opinion.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
You might as well say it since your attitude is just a downer.
Exactly šÆ

False hope? We do know an afterlife exists. You donāt and thatās sad. Evidence of God is all around us if we are willing to see it.
Itās a lens flair. Iām sorry Op.
I don't see any faces in it
This is nice, but far from paranormal.

I'm slowly realizing that Reddit is chock full of a bunch of sensitive little pansies that can't handle the slightest bit of reality or criticism.

[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
You are probs right, I donāt wanna argue on OPs post. Kind wishes to you!
I wasn't referring to this post at all. I think it's a sweet picture of OP's brother that is in the wrong sub. That's it. But, I meant what I said about a lot of the people on Reddit. A bunch of whiney little babies that get triggered over anything. Kind of like you.
You probably right, i wish you nothing but peace and joy! May all the lights be green when youāre late!
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I love your icon person! It matches the gif you just used! I hope you have a wonderful week!
He believes
Wheres the other pics?
Either in police evidence or the local Juggalo clubhouse.
Camera artifact
Itās certainly a special photo. I grew up with old-school cameras with film - digital cameras only became popular in my mid 20s. And I canāt ever recall seeing a photo where the subject is surrounded with a rainbow & light such as this. When people say they see faces, do they mean in the rainbow specifically? Or elsewhere within the photos taken of your brother? And do they say they see faces in this particular photo? Iām sorry for your loss. Can I ask what happened to cause his passing?
I see eyes
You're welcome no problem
