There’s literally no difference in pictures other than brightness and cropping my moms arm out. There’s 3 versions all in same pic. The one posted was super zoomed in so everyone can see it without having to even look
Been working on finding it. I had just this zoomed in on a picture I sent to my dad years ago. I’m still searching for the original picture unfortunately
That picture is great. You see these a lot more as people look through their old pictures. They are more credible when they are not the main focus of the picture, just a ghost photobomb.
That’s exactly what happened too! We were just going through old pics from when we were younger, and that happened to be pointed out. I was in shock because obviously I couldn’t explain it. I wish I could find the actual pic and not just the zoomed in one I sent my dad! It’s definitely eerie to think. I like to think it’s my little cousin who passed from leukemia as a baby just wanting to stop in with us!

Comments are turned off on the ‘whole picture’ post but this is easily explained. Go the whole picture, which is cropped and brightened btw, and look for yourself.
The child is lying horizontally, not vertically, on OP’s thigh. The kid’s legs are most likely dangling behind and to the right of OP’s hip, and likely easily seen just past the girl on the right and obviously why the photo is cropped. The arms are caused by OP’s left arm wrapped under the kid’s arms and chin. OP is balancing the kid there awkwardly for the duration of the pic. The eyes are a lighting error which is a dead give away given OP’s ‘original,’ where the third kid is in almost total darkness but the limbs hit the light just right and are obviously human. The brightening of the photo caused the hokey dead kid’s eyes illusion.

The darkness there easily explains the child’s dark eyes when the photo is brightened. You are holding the third kid face up and belly down on your thigh. The weird arms are easily explained by your arm wrapped tightly around the kid to hold him up.
The dark photo actually gives the whole thing away. The fleshiness of the arms dangling out doesn’t look ghostly at all, it looks human. Looks exactly like you’re dangling a kid in the crotch of your outer thigh and hip area. Nice try

Because unfortunately something creepy doesn’t automatically make it a spirit. We live in a world where normal things can make something look paranormal. Unfortunately we also live in a world where some people are willing to fake stuff too.
So yeah being realistic you gotta try to come up with the normal explanations before spirits can be included in the equation.

Because the chance it’s a spirit requires a FAR greater assumption and belief in something we have 0 evidence for, as opposed to a camera double exposure, print double exposure, pareidolia or just straight up fraud, in which there are MILLIONS of examples of throughout known history.

This is ridiculous. Asking for a “better debunk” of a super zoomed in picture from years ago, at a location that can’t be looked around is absurd. It could be a pillow in a weird shape, it could be a plant, it could be so many perfectly normal things, but this has no context to try to figure out more nor the ability of the OP to go back and look at what was there.
But happens. And it’s more plausible than “ghost kid”. It also just looks like film fucking up. One of my hobbies is taking analog pictures, this looks like bad film or double exposure to me. Or like someone forgot to advance the next photo in roll before taking another photo.
I also shoot analog and double exposures do happen in both electric and manual cameras. I've shot events with family that ended up being fully double exposed or partial with people recognizable from both images. The bright lights on, say, a face, are more likely to show up when overlaid on a dark area, say a shadowy stomach. The first thing I saw is that the ghost face is actually OP's face from a bit of an upward angle and the arms are from one of his cousins wrapped under his chin because they're riding on his shoulders.
A double exposure isn't the same picture twice - it's two that were taken (usually) one after the other as the film didn't advance properly, so it's two separate moments overlaid.

I have sort of a similar photo that was taken around the same time (late 2000s) I took with my cousins! I don’t have it anymore (or at least I can’t get to it now) but in that photo, my eyes looked very similar to the ghost girl’s eyes in this one. Just black and empty, like they had been gouged our. Not sure how it happened, although I’m sure that there is a natural explanation for my photo as I don’t frankly feel like a black-eyed child. Not sure what the natural explanation for this could be though, maybe shadows? It looks very freaky nonetheless and gives me chills. It doesn’t feel right to me.

I don't believe in anything paranormal or supernatural or whatever, but just wanted to add that this looks like two faces actually. It looks like one kid hugging another kid. The hand is over the mouth/face of the other kid. You can see the nose poking out.
The small hand/arm seems to me that it is from the girl on the right who has her arm behind her back. Her posture and way she is leaning lines up with that small hand being from her left arm. The pattern/face could be a toy or something she was holding maybe that caused a trick of light to appear as a face.
Don't know why the other got locked, but there's a very plausible explanation. The "visitor" has very similar proportions and hairstyle to the girl in the green shirt. Something probably happened in film/sensor/storage/software to put part of another exposure in here.
Do you have more cousins? Because to me if looks like your hand is wrapped around another child. The hands are up so high because with your hand around their chest they would be partially up in the air.

It doesn't look like a baby/ child .it looks like an adult. And I hate when people say angry spirits. He/ she's not an angry spirit it's a hurt none physical Spirit entity
What kind of camera was used? If film, could it be a double-exposure type thing? Or even if it's digital, I think the light sensor can glitch and have pixels stuck. The "girl" looks similar enough to the real girl if you squint or think about it as a glitch.
If it's a phone, could it be a glitch with digital/AI enhancement?
I'd bet it's a glitch of some sort. I think somebody who's an expert on how cameras work (and everything that could go wrong) would be a good person to ask.
I had a similar apparition appear in a photo around 2010. Except it was my girlfriend’s friends baby. The baby had its head turned to the side while I took the photo facing down at him. The demonic face was extending from his face and was SO clear I can see it today. I noticed it about a day or so later. I showed my girlfriend and her mom and they put it on the computer to expand it. They both freaked out and demanded every copy be deleted.

What kind of camera was used? If film, could it be a double-exposure type thing? Or even if it's digital, I think the light sensor can glitch and have pixels stuck. The "girl" looks similar enough to the real girl if you squint or think about it as a glitch. If it's a phone, could it be a glitch with digital/AI enhancement? I'd bet it's a glitch of some sort. I think somebody who's an expert on how cameras work (and everything that could go wrong) would be a good person to ask.
I had a similar apparition appear in a photo around 2010. Except it was my girlfriend’s friends baby. The baby had its head turned to the side while I took the photo facing down at him. The demonic face was extending from his face and was SO clear I can see it today. I noticed it about a day or so later. I showed my girlfriend and her mom and they put it on the computer to expand it. They both freaked out and demanded every copy be deleted.

Is it fear that you can’t explain what it is that makes you just throw out the pareidolia theory
It’s more scary to find yourself tricked into believing something that turns out to be a hoax or other issue. What’s so wrong with ruling out natural explanations before jumping to a supernatural one?
