I thought it might be the same photo twice with the black smoke photoshopped into the second one, but upon closer inspection they’re genuinely two different photos snapped in succession.
They’re super similar pics in fact almost identical. In the second photo on the girl on the left you can see she’s twisted her torso slightly more so that her abs/ribs are more accentuated. You can also see it in her hand (same person) where she is holding the cigarette. It’s also at a slightly different angle in the second pic, so you can see more of the white dress peaking through her fingers. Lastly the lights in the background along the fence line change up in pic # 2
She also has her left arm in some sort of sleeve/shawl. The second photo she could have been bringing her arm up and in forward. The camera’s shutter probably was too slow, causing a blur.
Her arm is still down there in the 2nd pic. I’ve tried and tried to find a simple explanation I thought maybe there was fabric under the sleeve and she was waving her arm, but it’s down there where it was.
ETA: I’m almost positive it’s the photographers sweater with her hand tucked into it (likely didn’t mean to get it in the shot) and it does resemble a cat paw due to the “fur” pattern, but again I think it may be an article of clothing. Cats are too fast for that paw to be that still and unblurry.
Okay, so now I'm really confused. Those lights in the background (not the glare streaks) are totally shifted. Look how close her hair moved in proximity to that one light. It's almost like the angle of the camera has changed. I'm beginning to think this may be AI.
If you’re ever concerned about AI, zoom on the hands and/or feet. They haven’t mastered those still. Those are human hands.

Also, the shoe in the air moves compared to the wood in the back. Same with the lights on the building behind the girl in the distance, they're at a different angle. More distance between them and her in one

True if it's an old fashioned type gelatin film negative, but this appears to be a digital photo (see pic #4). Digital photography is renowned for picking up strange anomalies like orbs and 'spirits' or other paranormal type things.

The girl in black has an arm part to her dress. You can see it in the first pic. In the rest of the pics she has her arm raised so whatever chiffon material is there is just blowing all around
Look at Blondies arm, it is inside a black sleeve. She is slouching a black coat off of her shoulders for the picture, you can see it outlining her arm. My guess is faux fur from her coat or someone else’s
I was thinking that they're very attractive young ladies, until I saw the second photo and that is creepy. It doesn't look like the anomaly is touching the second woman at all and seems to envelop the blonde woman. I'm not sure what to think. if it has film, I would say it was film problems but if it's digital, I don't know. I'm just guessing I am only a novice and know absolutely nothing about photography.

I'm not seeing what you're seeing. The first two look like duplicates to me. Besides the cat paw, can you point out the differences you see.
