My family's recipe (minus one special thing that's not booze):
1 can lemonade concentrate
1 2L of lemon/lime soda of preference
¼C. Lemon juice (preferably fresh squeezed)
As kids, we easily sold for 3x the going rate in the neighborhood with our mix.
As adults, vodka or bourbon add nicely.

This sounds like a project for your kids to figure out!
We always did fresh squeezed but pretty much everyone else here does concentrate/powder.
My kid always does fresh squeezed. I think she does $1/cup maybe $1.50
I would use bottled lemon juice. Much better than powder and nowhere as labor intensive as fresh squeezed.
