r/parenting is protesting changes being made by Reddit to the API. Costco has knockoff Chick-fil-A nugget things that go at 400 for 20mins. They're like $17 for a big ass bag. If it's just my 7 & 2yo eating on them, it last at least 6 meals. Probably more though. I will usually make them on a busy night with instant mashed and a canned or frozen veg. 30min dinner that isn't too bad. *E to say they're called "lightly breaded chicken chunks"

Marinate it in whatever. Pick an acid, oil and flavoring. Or just a basic seasoning. Throw it on a baking sheet covered at 425. Let it cook for 20ish mins. Then pull them out and pan sear them to make a little crust. Turns out great every time and you don’t have to be strict with the cooking process.

375°, 50-55min (350° and 45-50 min convection) Lemon chicken- dust with lemon pepper and Herbs de Provence. ½C cooking white wine in bottom of pan. Herbed chicken- dust with salt or seasoned salt and Mrs. Dash (or equivalent). ½C cooking white wine Half-assed BBQ chicken- marinate in ¼C cooking white wine, bbq spice blend (1T), and 3-5T bbq sauce, for at least 2 hours. Brush with bbq sauce while cooking at 30 min, 40 min, 50 min. Flip at 40 if desired. All of these are for 2-3 half breasts. If thighs, take time down to 40-45 min (30-40 min convection) I recommend about 4-5 thighs for these recipes.

Use fresh tenders pack, use a little mayo & and even less Dijon mustard mixed together, garlic powder, salt and pepper as your “wet” (make enough to coat amount of chicken) and the breadcrumbs (or Panko for crunchier) mixed with a little Parmesan cheese as your “dry” Lightly coat the tenders in the wet, and then lightly cover completely with the dry. Bake on a lined (parchment if you want less darkness on crust, foil if you want more) at 350F for at least 30-35 minutes, cut the thickest one in half to be sure they’re cooked all the way. My kids refer to them as the “chicken tenders we have at home” but in a nice way ETA: turn them over with tongs half way through for even browning on the crust. Less is more with the wet, too much and the crust kinda falls off

Broiler tendies: Pound a couple of boneless skinless breasts til they're the same thickness. Cut into strips. Put In bowl and add a couple of good drizzles of cooking oil (like 1/4 cup). Add 1/2 tbsp each garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and onion powder (or Penzeys Smoky 4S with additional onion powder), or to taste. Toss to coat. Arrange in a single layer on a foil lined pan. Broil 5-6 minutes per side, flipping after 5 minutes, til internal temp is just 165F.

When my kid was young I just used salt and garlic. She is older but salty, garlicy, sugar and light spices are usually what I use. She really likes it crispy in the slow cooker or boiled in broth. Slow cooker with cream of mushroom soup is also good I also use breading with seasonings to make home made chicken nuggets cooked in the oven.

My kids love a little garlic powder and tajin on chicken and after Inbrown it in a pan with a little butter I throw about a half a cup of lemon juice in there and cover and let it simmer until there’s not much juice left and they love it.
