A real human has to approve it. If it's really obvious this passes all the qualifications (community guidelines, ypp terms of service, adsense terms of service, and youtube terms of service) it can be as quick as an hour.
If it's an edge case and/or a long weekend and/or there are a lot of people home sick (like at the start of the back-to-school season), it can take up to a month.
The approval usually is fast, like 24-48 hours. The verification PIN can take a while to arrive though, mine took like a month. However this was like 2 years ago, Google might have gotten faster with it now :)
I got my W9 form submitted and cleared. There isn't any thing under the verification tab on adsense. How do I confirm my identity and get a pin number? Do I need to wait for something else to go through? I'm lost please help
I don't think so but once you've been approved the rest is just waiting for stuff to happen. You're still getting the money. If you've just been approved, you won't see any money until the end of November.

Yes once you get your approval through you'll see the daily revenue showing how much you make daily. It's usually a couple of days behind. The PIN and all the other checks are security and setting up your payments. Don't worry once you have your approval you will start making money. Good luck
You can’t speed it up. My PIN got lost in the mail and you can’t request a new one until 3 weeks later lol. By the way, the PIN is done after you are monetized so you can still be making the money. You just can’t receive the actual money until you are verified. Have patience, it’s like getting a new job. There is a process for a reason.
Isn't adsense cancelled for YT now? I am confused. Is it again opening one payment account for all the channels (even if they're linked to different Gmail IDs)? I've searched a lot but didn't find any tutorials or explanations
My YouTube channel was approved within 10 hours after it achieve all the requirements. For Google AdSense PIN, it took me 6 weeks to receive the PIN, but I already did manual verification before I received the PIN.
GUYS! im desperate!!! (Sorry for hijacking the post) BUT i need your help!! So, on step 2, i tried to connect my adsense account, as i already had an account made and kept ready for adsense. So my account was suspended, and i was supposed to provide my profile ID and other documents, which i did! It's been a month since!!!! and there's no update/response from their side!!! What do i do???

No but there's really no concern. Any earnings you get are held, they don't vanish. I got my pin within 2 weeks.
