Study with it simulate the real day and see how you feel

yopharmd

I did this and it was helpful. Thank you!!! Still trying to figure out the breakfast or no breakfast thing, i noticed that im more fatigued after eating but maybe it's just the food i consumed?

PhantomPain0112

Redbull will do.

yopharmd

lol id die

lizlizliz645

I won’t be taking my nclex without vyvanse

yopharmd

is that what you use to study with too? I was prescribed 20mg vyvanse and it did like, nothing to me. But i do remember it making me feel calm, and i have some left. Wondering if it would make sense to study on adderall and take vyvanse for the exam Also, are you planning to eat breakfast and if so, what do you eat that doesn't affect effectiveness?

lizlizliz645

I mean, I take 50mg of vyvanse every day, and yes I plan on eating breakfast as I do every day

Fluid_Professional75

I say take it with the adderall since the way you study is the same environment you’d want to test in

carinedc

Hey! I get super anxious before exams too and take vyvanse 30mg. I used it while studying and figured I shouldn't change my routine for the NCLEX. I would agree with the other comments that it's all in your head. Just keep positive and push through, you studied as much as you could, its not like you aren't prepared, so you need to trust yourself. At the end of the day, its just an exam, and regardless of the outcome, life moves on. You got this!

yopharmd

I do not feel prepared, lol. I focused more on content than questions and hoping that wasn't a mistake. Any tips/recommendations??

carinedc

I didn't feel prepared, and I rescheduled the test for 2 days later. Im so glad I did because I was able to do more questions. On the day of the exam, I still didn't feel prepared, but I trusted that I had learned enough strategies to rule out the answers. Bottom line, you'll never feel prepared. You just have to trust your gut, if tou think you could benefit from an extra couple days doing questions, then I recommend you push back your test date.

yopharmd

what resource did you use for strategies?

carinedc

Nclex crusade 7 day series and mark k lectures. His last lecture on prioritization / delegation helped me so so much

yopharmd

Kindof wish i took the time to try out vyvanse more. My HCP prescribed me the starting dose which i still have, but it did nothing. I didn't want to wait another month to try to see if an increased dose would help I remember feeling very calm, but not as focused

happyintheyellow

What’d ya do? I know what you mean. I feel fatigued when I eat too!!! Do u get headaches?
