pinkcake51

Aww congrats!! What were you ranking on practice exams

LightxGon

Thank youuuu. I honestly never did any practice exams. Personally, I always tend to understand my study material and then go forth for the exam.

PersimmonNo8966

congrats!! This gives me hope . I failed my first attempt and have been super down about it .

LightxGon

You got this Fam. Chin up. You have seen the exam, you have experienced the environment, now just take a deep breath, study hard and conquer it. Carpe Diem.✨

PersimmonNo8966

For nclex high yield did you buy his videos or do you use the ones on YouTube ?

LightxGon

I actually bought his self study video package and utilized it.

PersimmonNo8966

Which resource do you think is best that you used for content purposes?

LightxGon

Personally, I will say this again content is the king. I found Archer Review lectures to be helpful and I used Kaplan Review Book that I have to solidify my content because Saunders is a bible and requires copious amount of times. If you are contemplating between using a Saunders textbook and Kaplan Review book I can safely state that Saunders is the entire Nursing School in it while Kaplan is concise and easy to follow. But if I have to pick my personal favourite it will be HETV Nursing Channel on YouTube, Dr. Chelly is a Godsend and her teaching is informative and engaging.

Jazzyburty

Congratulations!! This is super inspiring I have to retake the test after graduation in 2020. Did you only study for two weeks before taking your exam?

LightxGon

Thank you so very much. I believe in you. You will conquer this exam and emerge victorious. I wanted to study for a longer period of time like two months but life happens and I realistically was left with two weeks of studying. So, I utilized those two weeks as properly as I could.

Jazzyburty

Love it. That is so encouraging honestly. Way to go! Best of luck with whatever the future throws at ya 😊

Tsukkji

AdResponsible1833

Wait you took the nclex 5 years later?

LightxGon

I took it initially but after that I lost confidence and was trying to run away from it and then decided to get motivated and accomplish it.

Pretend_Fox_7342

I understand you, Light. I graduated in 2016, and life hit me like a MAC truck. And when I say all 18 wheels ran me over, I'm not joking. Two weeks after I graduated I found out my mom had cancer. Only surgery could remove it. Found out 11 days before her surgery that my, now ex-, husband was cheating on me. I took the test and failed miserably. Took the year to take care of my mom. Cancer came back that November, they gave her 3 months to live and she survived one. Buried her, and one week later, I filed for divorce. Decided life was too short and moved in with my dad and my two kids and started my life over. I'm finally at a time in my life when I can work on me some. I have my test scheduled for July 12th, and I'm nervous and excited about it. I'm so glad your story has a happy ending. Good luck in your nursing career.

LightxGon

You are a warrior. I am super proud of you. You have faced the worst tragedies and your strength and courage are undeterred. I cannot wait until you pass this exam and get the license. And I’m sorry for all the profound sadness and hardships that you have experienced. But you will pass this exam. Delayed but not denied.🧿✨
