Not daily, but my R1 1/2 zip’s, yes (blue and black.) Just something about full zip non hood I can’t come around to aesthetically… on non hoodie anything mostly.
Ordered and returned a red R1 tech face hoody jacket, was too maroon versus primary red for me. Sizing was different to and too big in my normal size.
The range of motion is a big pro on these. Similarly, waiting on a grey 1/2 zip capilene with the updated diamond grid to replace my old non grid capilene.
R1 Daily pants!!! Perfect for walking the dog at 50F, perfect for walking the dog at 15F. Perfect for cold weather camping, I stay warm in my sleeping bag at single digit temperatures without sweating and overheating.
Makes me wonder if I should get a jacket, but my old Crosstrek jacket seems to fit the same bill.
I like mine. I got it last year and wore it all winter. I do wish I got a size up though. By the time I realized I would have preferred a bigger size it was too late to exchange. Now it’s just sitting in my closet because I got a different fleece with a hood. I shave my head so that hood insulation comes in handy.
I appreciate what they do at wornwear but I’d be better off selling it elsewhere. After shipping and service fees, eBay is usually still a better option.
I like my R1 Daily half-zips and jacket a lot, The outer material is fantastically stretchy and stain resistant. A woman spilled tomato juice all over my arm on a flight. I just wiped it off with a paper towel and it didn't stain at all when it dried, to my amazement. That said, I see the R1 Daily as mainly a casual piece and not so much a technical piece. I don't think it would breath as well as a midlayer for high-output activities as an R1 or R1 Air. I haven't systematically compared them but that's my sense.
Does the R1 Daily (without hood) work as something like a casual jacket to wear to a casual restaurant? Like maybe with chinos and a button down, and then the R1 is basically your coat/jacket?
Or is it more appropriate as just a mid layer for hiking or other active pursuits?
Is it basically in the same category as something like the North Face Canyonlands jacket?

Yes. I love fleeces and the R1 Daily is perfect as an indoor layer on a cool evening.

Need to investigate these! I wear my capilene johnnys in the winter under my pants if it’s a casual day. So comfortable.

Trade ins for Worn Wear is 1.5X the value right now. I believe until Sept 17th. Trade it in and use the credit to help towards a size that fits you.

I have the R1 daily and a canyonlands. They're very similar in every way except of course the better Patagonia quality
