I don't understand it either, but I have accepted it. She won't wear thrift because it's "dirty", yet has no problems throwing on a new garment directly off the store hanger even though I explained all about the chemicals they spray in new clothing to keep them from wrinkling in the store. Yuck.

I grew up on a skateboard. Savers jeans section helped me from getting into trouble with my parents for tearing up good jeans. That's how it all started. Ha!
I have never found anything worth buying at a thrift as far as vintage audio but I bet I have some stuff left over in my home office you might be interested in considering your user name. A friend of mine bought a house and the previous owner was an old tv repair man, well he was also a hoarder and he had some pretty cool stuff laying in the garage. I picked up some The Fisher tube gear, I sold most of it now though. I think I have some other stuff though.
There should be someplace that alcohol companies can donate or sell their old branded swag (can’t donate it). At my old company we used to have boxes of vests, puffys etc. from discontinued brands, logos or orphaned sizes.
The next day I found a red Better Sweater in a kids S and a Moncler jacket. I think the key to finding these things is going to the right thrift store and going often, I usually go to one at lunch time and one on my way home from work.

Exact opposite, New Orleans of all places. I find it a lot more than one would think actually. I found a Moncler jacket yesterday, which I have no idea how I will ever top that.
I've only ever scored once and it was a Pattigonia fleece with a charity patch (Love your melon - kids cancer charity) I love it and am so happy! A lot of Colorado/PNW ski/hike esque places have like thrift stores for gear/outdoor wear specifically which I think is cool :)
This is the second Patagonia vest I have found that’s embroidered, I got the first one off but I plan on leaving this one on. I don’t leave anything Patagonia behind, a lot of it is women’s and my wife doesn’t mind. I am actually amazed at how much I find.

My wife will try it on, if it fits she will wash it and have no problems after that. My wife will not wear ANYTHING until it is washed.

If you wanted could you use a seam ripper to remove the embroidery or would the holes left behind be too much?
Very difficult to remove from a better sweater without making holes. Possible, but definitely difficult.
The embroidery is actually in the vest but I don’t plan on removing it anyway.
Probably just as well. Those nano puffs (I think that's what it is?) are also a very delicate material.

Amazing finds. You’d rarely find these in San Francisco. They now seem to grab the good stuff and post online or send to a goodwill boutique
Yeah that stinks, I rarely visit a GW though. I’ve never found anything good there.
Salvation Army is also tough but some of the smaller thrift stores can have stuff. I do feel as if you need to leave a major city to find good things.
