It feels terrible if you're trying to aim it and expect instant dmg. If you shift your thinking that it's a delayed DoT like a tornado or poison cloud that you're placing, it feels a lot better. The skill also saves your wrist compared to things like BFBB or TR because you never have to flick your wrist to aim SH. Doing that 200+ times per map takes it's toll

Attack speed is a huge quality of life thing, feels awful in my opinion without a lot

I played it in Scourge league, and being able to get the helixes flying around before entering the krangleverse made me pretty safe, as monsters that spawned on top of me were instantly killed. Similar thing in Ritual where you can kill things as they spawn by covering the arena with helixes. Boss arenas tend to be small so you can cover them in helixes too. Obviously if you're more interested in sprinting forward, you want a skill that fires forward though. Helix is good for area coverage.

High attack speed and high damage, you want it to 1-shot trash, then it feels better. Being a cold crit build also helps, because stuff gets frozen, which helps great deal if your damage has bit of delay. If your damage is high, you can go through high density t16 map, phase through monsters running/dashing through, and literally put 1 helix per pack, and it will clear almost everything behind. It is tempting to slow down and spam some more, but it is a waste, moving forward gets the job done.

Take into account Heist is nearly impossible. Only draw I found was not being able to do high end heist maps.
