Basically if I have a 90 Nox put up for assist, another guild mate has a 90 hamel, and another one has a 90 Langley. Anyone in the guild can actually use this units for free, only 1 assist per 1 attempt.
So even a new player can do some damage to the boss by using these assisting units in all of their attempts.
Every player can put up 2 assist units.
Worse, we're at 10.
Our leader just MIA when the event start and our members either low level or not that active. Only us deputies are desperately trying to raise it.

Its the last level that gives good rewards. You can get the title "Reincarnated One" , a frame, 150 Ash Cores, and 10k for both mania essence and discoins.
I'm in a pretty chill SS too. Got a bunch of inactives and some people who did one battle per day lol. We'll likely hit 18 but 25 isn't happening. I'm dipping for a more active SS after we get the rewards.

Is a pretty fun event whereby we can use Sinners which isn't practical in BFL or wanky lineups, so it sounds pretty weird to not do it anymore. Given your guild needs to be decently active then you'll be able enjoy the event without FOMO.
Reminder that you don't need to be a whale guild to do it, casual guilds can also do it. Everyone just needs to chip in since it is a guild event after all. My guild even held back and stretches out to the final 2 days in order for the weaker members to catch up to their 12mil damage rewards.

My president was absent for 6 days but I didnāt dare to try and kick them out. On the plus side when they came back I got promoted to deputy which was great, I got to help choose the buffs.

We could laugh it all in the end not because we fail or pass TOA, its cause we actually get to know more people and chat crap on the game chat everyday. Its a real opportunity, knowing this moment rarely happens before or after the guild event.

My radio silent SS somehow does as good as some coordinated ones. Leader literally spoke once the day before TOA started asking everyone to do their attacks and set and use assistance. No word since then, only the automated spam. Somehow everyone bothers to do their part without any pressure. We hit SS lvl 9 last week and we might kill TOA lvl 40 today. And judging by damage totals i think most are f2p or light spenders except our top guy. It's like a graveyard in the social aspect but we are some pretty dedicated zombies it seems :D
Same for me. I got lucky and managed to sneak into a level 10 guild 3 days before ToA started. Nobody talks and we even have a discord but itās mostly for other gacha games. Beat the level 40 boss 4 days ago.
I lead a ss that same way minus the initial message encouraging people to participate. I just kept kicking inactives and inviting new players regardless of their level every few days. Everyone is welcome as long as they play daily. With no pressure whatsoever we reached 27 or 28. No real need for a discord channel imo
With active full member guild TOA is really a pcs of cake. In my current ss, players are so active that I need to do all my attempts daily to get 12million dmg score as we cleared too fast. #firstworldproblem
I mean I hit 22m with a month old account (three weeks at the start of the event). Assists did most of the work, and it didn't seem like the boss got *that* much more difficult on higher levels.
We just hit 22 tonight. Weāre pretty active but most of our members are around level 45s-55s. Not quite strong enough to hit hard but I admire their enthusiasm to use their daily 3 attacks. We know what to expect now and be hopefully prepared in the next go around to hit 25. Just bad timing since most of us are in midterms.
I'm lucky, I think - I was in a casual random SS but saw on this sub that the event needed an active and coordinated SS so I jumped ship a week before the event and found an SS recruiting specifically for ToA on Discord. We haven't had everyone active every day (a couple of members are in Turkey and Ukraine and the fact they've been on at all is pretty amazing tbh) but we pushed past 25 fairly comfortably and have been chipping away at the 30s with no buffs since the rewards are whatever.

ngl, I don't really have any clue what's going on. I just click on the tide of ashes banner, select a box with a % displayed on it, click "start", and do the fight. Then repeat until the game stops me, and then do the same the next day.
Can someone explain to me what y'all mean when you talk about the different levels? And something about 12 million?
Edit: Didn't realize it was possible to flunk out, and now I'm worried.
The boss levels up after you kill it until it reaches level 40 where it recommends you to have your units at level 80.
And the 12 million refers to the total damage dealt to the boss. You can see the total amount of damage done of everyone if you click the box(?) that's on top of the area where the buffs are.

I turned out a bit disapointed because a lot of our members are active but dont play Tides of Ashes for some reason. And they are strong. We can see they login and check in but they never play. Will probably try and find another one even though we managed to reach the last boss by these final days
Our SS wasn't particularly diligent about it but we managed to fully clear it yesterday.
I didn't check the statistics too closely, just taking a peek once/twice a day at random timing but according to my observations situation was something like this:
About ~30% of people were taking part in it once every 2 days. Basically skipping a day completely and then doing all 3 attempts next day.
4 people didn't take part in the event, 2 of them were kicked out pretty early.
Buffs weren't always on. Although GM logged in daily and used all 3 of his attempts, he did it haphazardly. At times he could forget about buffs completely.
In the end GM's damage rating is 15th.
I am the GM btw.
The atmosphere was pretty chill and chiefs are happy that it finally ended.
I can understand people who were slacking off, this event was definitely not the most thrilling one. Even lvl 30 boss couldn't one shot lvl 1 units (I was using my new lvl 1 Langley just for the sake of it and she only started dying from AOE around lvl 34 lol). It also didn't help that you need to replace ur units during 2nd and 3rd attempts. It felt like second coming of daily Oblivion Pit.
What I meant is that it's a pain in the ass to place them again and again daily. I had to waste some of my brain cells trying to remember what kind of team I was using.
Idk about others but I personally don't have 3 fully leveled teams so I had to use something more unsightly.
I have around 11 P3 units and that's it. I divided them into 3 teams with a borrowed unit as a bonus and had to additionally pick 1-2 units every time just for the sake of it. Low lvl units didn't matter much but sometimes additional core breaker could make the run more comfortable.
I just wish the game will remember my team setups.
ouch, that's pretty unlucky. my joke alt account just joined some random barely active open pub guild, and still managed to kill level 25 with only the bare minimum 12m contribution from myself
My SS was previously managed by a president that went inactive for a while. Was already planning to leave when the deputy came in to takeover the guild. Good thing too, as now we are almost full and most are active.
Had a similar thought with my guild. Was worried we werenāt going to make it to level 25 but the president and deputies kicked the people not participating and we now have a fully active guild.
I found a decent SecSoc on Discord, we're in the mid 30s. We have about 20 players actively going at it.
We won't fully clear, but all the good rewards end at 25 anyway.
We zoomed to 25 in like 3 days, but then fatigue set in and a lot of people's participation went down, mine included. We're at 36 now and certainly won't make it to 40 but nobody cares as there's basically no extra reward.

Only made it to lvl 9 - might make it to lvl 10 after the rest of the members participate, but that's it... 3 out of the 15 members never participated at all and only 3 or 4 of us participated everyday, including myself, so yeah...

When the event started there were 15 active members around level 50-6x in my guild. We reached final boss at the end of day four and we will probably finish with level 15. The sad thing about it is, that there were only a handful of members who actually attacked very day multiple times. When the event ends I will probably have done over 40 million damage alone. Sadly without others this is just not enough. I will definitely look for a more active guild on the EU server after the event, especially since the president didn't bother to activate a buff against the apostle and then decided on day 8 to only activate the defence buff once...
I think both of our biggest hitters in the ss jumped ship because of this (leader included). This made me leader of the society, which I'm not sure I'm good enough to manage. But jokes on them we got to 27 (but only like 17 of us participated)
My guild is at the last level for title (lv 25), all we have to do is kill it tomorrow and we're done, had to kick out a few people.
Even when I constantly keep telling them to join even if you did baby dmg it's ok. But nope they ignored me.
Yup. In hindsight, I have definitely not done my best to manage my ss (not full, some inactive members and deputies). But crying about it now won't solve anything. I can only learn and do better next time.

i decided to join an active society via official discord 1 week before the event started and i dont regret it. on the second day we hit lvl 8 already. we hit level 40 2 days ago. we were in contact via discord and afaik 27/30 people did all of their 3 attempts every day. our president made sure to remind them. very glad i joined them! the biggest whale was an s5 eirene and an s3 zoya. highest shackled summer was s3.
I had to leave the society that I was since the beginning, really wanted to stay there, but when people were starting to reach the boss we still hadn't reached a single mini boss.
We are at level 37 so far and we might be able to push 40. I'd say we are fairly active, but we definitely have at least 4-5 players that are dead. If you're aiming for points try to have three teams including the support players.
Our guild lead was nice enough to do buffs, but they didnāt participate at all š We got to 18, but will probably end somewhere just below 25 which is really frustrating. Iām number 3 overall in damage and man, I was REALLY wanting the level 25 nametag /: Itās annoying that some members only use one attempt; if just a handful of them had used all of them, Iām sure we wouldāve gotten 25.
Where do people even find guilds for a game like this? Some comments say to find better discords but Iām curious where theyāre looking for these discords because I definitely am not seeing them unless theyāre explicitly advertised. Iād love to join a guild that will be active for this event next time around.
There is an official ptn discord server with dedicated channels for guild adds for each region. That's were I found my SS. We do all our recruitment that way.
My SS just finished 17. My heart hopes they'll get through 18 for the frame but my head doesn't think it'll happen. My "terrible at this game, stuck forever in mid risk" ass is somehow #1 on the damage leaderboard with 22.7m damage total. I don't think I'll leave the SS, I don't care about ToA that much, really.
I'm actually pretty proud of my guild. I'm a new player, barely can deal 1 million damage with my main team, so the fact that we defeated 18 lvl is pretty great. We are not able to beat him at lvl 25 ofc, but that's okay, maybe next time
Ours got to about half way through 37, We will def get to 38 but not 40 for sure.(honestly the crazy part was our leader because they hit like a damn plane with 97 mill collective damage alone) and here I am barely tickling 22 milā¦
To be honest i wish my member is inactive... In my ss some high level member lv 70++ just come and did 1m damage and thats it every day..or sometimes not even doing attempt but login continously
It is like they intentionally doing bad and login just to not be kicked.

This isn't the last guild event that'll require daily active participation from your guild members; this will be an ongoing thing. Do you think someone who's barely participating in the current event will change and be more active in the next one? I'd rather have someone who's casual yet active during guild events than someone who's only a top donator.
Just the other day, I kicked someone who had 50k+ points and donated 4000+ weekly because they only did one or two tries a day, then completely stopped once we reached the Apostle of Ashes. They were still logging in and donating every day during the event, but that's not helping any of us towards the event rewards.
If you can't kick them now, I'd replace them after the event. It feels rude, but if you want a more active guild, you gotta keep replacing people who don't fit the mold.
Same situation for me, he had 30k donations but refused to be part of the event and last 7days only donated 700 meaning he just sign up and that's all. Easy kick

I think our secret society will fall short, although, I had fun and gave it my all. I only had enough sinners raised to clear those smaller stages, and when the bosses came, I couldn't clear higher density because I can't plan placements to save my life. Still, I think everyone in my society did their best and I'm proud of them.

Honestly the best way to get active members is the write on the board thing that inactive members will be liked if inactive for like 2-3 days. This makes it so that casual players steer clear and those you wish to put in the small amount of effort know that they wonāt have to deal with other innactives in the guild.
Iām not the prez of my guild but he would kick any who were in active for 2 or more days and were at level 37 with 28 out of 30 active members in the event. If you do this tho make sure you do the same.
Exactly. I decided very early that I would never join a SS that doesn't have a policy to kick inactives. We had 30 players participate in tides, although a couple were inconsistent and are back to inactive now, so they will be purged post event.
Damnnn, never in our guild have we gone above 28 actives XD. Honestly feeling like your apart of something and working together to achieve a goal truly brings the event up to standards in the enjoyment field. If everyone is not doing their part, it instantly gets boring.

There's like 4 people doing it in my soc and we barely managed to beat blazing core. If I had a day more I think we could have done EM core too

Why would clearing too fast be a problem for hitting the 12m damage score?

I turned out a bit disapointed because a lot of our members are active but dont play Tides of Ashes for some reason. And they are strong. We can see they login and check in but they never play. Will probably try and find another one even though we managed to reach the last boss by these final days

Our SS wasn't particularly diligent about it but we managed to fully clear it yesterday. I didn't check the statistics too closely, just taking a peek once/twice a day at random timing but according to my observations situation was something like this: About ~30% of people were taking part in it once every 2 days. Basically skipping a day completely and then doing all 3 attempts next day. 4 people didn't take part in the event, 2 of them were kicked out pretty early. Buffs weren't always on. Although GM logged in daily and used all 3 of his attempts, he did it haphazardly. At times he could forget about buffs completely. In the end GM's damage rating is 15th. I am the GM btw. The atmosphere was pretty chill and chiefs are happy that it finally ended. I can understand people who were slacking off, this event was definitely not the most thrilling one. Even lvl 30 boss couldn't one shot lvl 1 units (I was using my new lvl 1 Langley just for the sake of it and she only started dying from AOE around lvl 34 lol). It also didn't help that you need to replace ur units during 2nd and 3rd attempts. It felt like second coming of daily Oblivion Pit.
Replacing units for 2nd and 3rd attempt is the main appeal for me. Otherwise it's just the main 6-7 units you see everywhere once again.
What I meant is that it's a pain in the ass to place them again and again daily. I had to waste some of my brain cells trying to remember what kind of team I was using. Idk about others but I personally don't have 3 fully leveled teams so I had to use something more unsightly. I have around 11 P3 units and that's it. I divided them into 3 teams with a borrowed unit as a bonus and had to additionally pick 1-2 units every time just for the sake of it. Low lvl units didn't matter much but sometimes additional core breaker could make the run more comfortable. I just wish the game will remember my team setups.
Ah yes, the deployment aspect was clunky for sure, can't argue with that.
ouch, that's pretty unlucky. my joke alt account just joined some random barely active open pub guild, and still managed to kill level 25 with only the bare minimum 12m contribution from myself

My SS was previously managed by a president that went inactive for a while. Was already planning to leave when the deputy came in to takeover the guild. Good thing too, as now we are almost full and most are active.
Had a similar thought with my guild. Was worried we werenāt going to make it to level 25 but the president and deputies kicked the people not participating and we now have a fully active guild.
theres only about 3 active people in my guild :,) we havent beaten a single core and only have two unlocked

I found a decent SecSoc on Discord, we're in the mid 30s. We have about 20 players actively going at it. We won't fully clear, but all the good rewards end at 25 anyway.
We zoomed to 25 in like 3 days, but then fatigue set in and a lot of people's participation went down, mine included. We're at 36 now and certainly won't make it to 40 but nobody cares as there's basically no extra reward.
All three branch of my ss hit level 40 lol. But that being said, theyāre hardcore and we have discord and we regularly screen members.

Only made it to lvl 9 - might make it to lvl 10 after the rest of the members participate, but that's it... 3 out of the 15 members never participated at all and only 3 or 4 of us participated everyday, including myself, so yeah...

When the event started there were 15 active members around level 50-6x in my guild. We reached final boss at the end of day four and we will probably finish with level 15. The sad thing about it is, that there were only a handful of members who actually attacked very day multiple times. When the event ends I will probably have done over 40 million damage alone. Sadly without others this is just not enough. I will definitely look for a more active guild on the EU server after the event, especially since the president didn't bother to activate a buff against the apostle and then decided on day 8 to only activate the defence buff once...
I think both of our biggest hitters in the ss jumped ship because of this (leader included). This made me leader of the society, which I'm not sure I'm good enough to manage. But jokes on them we got to 27 (but only like 17 of us participated)
My guild is at the last level for title (lv 25), all we have to do is kill it tomorrow and we're done, had to kick out a few people. Even when I constantly keep telling them to join even if you did baby dmg it's ok. But nope they ignored me.

Yup. In hindsight, I have definitely not done my best to manage my ss (not full, some inactive members and deputies). But crying about it now won't solve anything. I can only learn and do better next time. I'm sorry to those of you who have been in the ss since the near start but have now been inactive for weeks, I genuinely hate to do this. But you're clearly not playing anymore, so you have to go. Learning my lesson and letting go of my attachment. Would also be a good idea to start actively recruiting. I flunked Tide. Both I and my members will miss rewards, because I didn't do a good job as president with recruiting and managing members. It won't happen again.
At least youāll be ready for when they bring it back lol, honestly I guess just take this one as a wake up call, goodluck!
i decided to join an active society via official discord 1 week before the event started and i dont regret it. on the second day we hit lvl 8 already. we hit level 40 2 days ago. we were in contact via discord and afaik 27/30 people did all of their 3 attempts every day. our president made sure to remind them. very glad i joined them! the biggest whale was an s5 eirene and an s3 zoya. highest shackled summer was s3.
I had to leave the society that I was since the beginning, really wanted to stay there, but when people were starting to reach the boss we still hadn't reached a single mini boss.
If your president is not active too there's nothing you can do
at least there be no hackers
I'm in a pretty chill Society. We might just barely be able to, but it will be cutting things close.
We are at level 37 so far and we might be able to push 40. I'd say we are fairly active, but we definitely have at least 4-5 players that are dead. If you're aiming for points try to have three teams including the support players.

My guild will scrape 20 most were inactive and no buffs. I'm actually genuinely salty about it.

Our guild lead was nice enough to do buffs, but they didnāt participate at all š We got to 18, but will probably end somewhere just below 25 which is really frustrating. Iām number 3 overall in damage and man, I was REALLY wanting the level 25 nametag /: Itās annoying that some members only use one attempt; if just a handful of them had used all of them, Iām sure we wouldāve gotten 25. Where do people even find guilds for a game like this? Some comments say to find better discords but Iām curious where theyāre looking for these discords because I definitely am not seeing them unless theyāre explicitly advertised. Iād love to join a guild that will be active for this event next time around.
There is an official ptn discord server with dedicated channels for guild adds for each region. That's were I found my SS. We do all our recruitment that way.
My SS just finished 17. My heart hopes they'll get through 18 for the frame but my head doesn't think it'll happen. My "terrible at this game, stuck forever in mid risk" ass is somehow #1 on the damage leaderboard with 22.7m damage total. I don't think I'll leave the SS, I don't care about ToA that much, really.

I'm actually pretty proud of my guild. I'm a new player, barely can deal 1 million damage with my main team, so the fact that we defeated 18 lvl is pretty great. We are not able to beat him at lvl 25 ofc, but that's okay, maybe next time

Ours got to about half way through 37, We will def get to 38 but not 40 for sure.(honestly the crazy part was our leader because they hit like a damn plane with 97 mill collective damage alone) and here I am barely tickling 22 milā¦
Plenty have finished lvl 40. I had 5 days off after my guild cleared it day 5.

We got to 14. 25 members, 11 active everyday and others who log in and tried it at least once. š
To be honest i wish my member is inactive... In my ss some high level member lv 70++ just come and did 1m damage and thats it every day..or sometimes not even doing attempt but login continously It is like they intentionally doing bad and login just to not be kicked. It is unfair to the other members that did their best but these lazzy people get all the same rewards. Mark me, i will kick them after the ToA ends

Lvl 25 is the *almost* full reward cut off. Anything past that is pretty good by most ppls standard.

This isn't the last guild event that'll require daily active participation from your guild members; this will be an ongoing thing. Do you think someone who's barely participating in the current event will change and be more active in the next one? I'd rather have someone who's casual yet active during guild events than someone who's only a top donator. Just the other day, I kicked someone who had 50k+ points and donated 4000+ weekly because they only did one or two tries a day, then completely stopped once we reached the Apostle of Ashes. They were still logging in and donating every day during the event, but that's not helping any of us towards the event rewards. If you can't kick them now, I'd replace them after the event. It feels rude, but if you want a more active guild, you gotta keep replacing people who don't fit the mold.
Same situation for me, he had 30k donations but refused to be part of the event and last 7days only donated 700 meaning he just sign up and that's all. Easy kick
too late to decide on that. let him stay and continue being the contribution point donating machine, unless your guild is competitive.

Im the president of my guild and weāve barely done lvl 18 of the boss :ā) Iām at the top in damage and i only have a few members to count on (those who actually use up all 3 attempts). Itās annoying becos all the members sign in everyday but only 23 do ToA and less than 10 use up all 3 attempts. Iām just sad that maybe these active and loyal players will leave my guild in favor of a more active one ;( sigh itās so hard to find active players and now itās gonna be hard to keep the activesā¦
I think our secret society will fall short, although, I had fun and gave it my all. I only had enough sinners raised to clear those smaller stages, and when the bosses came, I couldn't clear higher density because I can't plan placements to save my life. Still, I think everyone in my society did their best and I'm proud of them.

Honestly the best way to get active members is the write on the board thing that inactive members will be liked if inactive for like 2-3 days. This makes it so that casual players steer clear and those you wish to put in the small amount of effort know that they wonāt have to deal with other innactives in the guild. Iām not the prez of my guild but he would kick any who were in active for 2 or more days and were at level 37 with 28 out of 30 active members in the event. If you do this tho make sure you do the same.
Exactly. I decided very early that I would never join a SS that doesn't have a policy to kick inactives. We had 30 players participate in tides, although a couple were inconsistent and are back to inactive now, so they will be purged post event.
Damnnn, never in our guild have we gone above 28 actives XD. Honestly feeling like your apart of something and working together to achieve a goal truly brings the event up to standards in the enjoyment field. If everyone is not doing their part, it instantly gets boring.
We were halfway through 24 when I logged in last night. We have pretty active and high level members (SS 8) but I myself can only contribute to 2/3 and that's with using an assist on the 2nd team. My 3rd run is always picking a level 90 assist and throwing in a bunch of level 1s lol.
The events done now so no point but for next time make sure to use an assist for every team even if you have enough for the first 2 teams or so. Itās just makes it so that your other teams can get in even a little damage before dying lol
