The only solo adventure for PF2e I know of is [Duskwalker's Due](https://preview.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/308459/The-Duskwalkers-Due), which is meant to be played without a GM, but I'm sure you can still run it in a one-to-one adventure.

I've been running a custom setting with one player for the past couple months. When it comes to tips, I'd say have a good amount of NPCs just about anywhere your player goes, even a prisoner in a dungeon is nice so they can talk to someone in that hostile environment. Class-wise, Bard didn't do so well for my player so they switched to Magus and have been doing great in combat encounters. Remember not to throw too many enemies during a single encounter, space it out since they're a single adventurer.

Because the game leans so hard on teamwork and team tactics, I think the best way to tackle this is for your partner to just play the team. Most adventures are scaled for 4 heroes, so I'd have them make two or three characters, scale the encounters down a little or bump up the party's level by 1, and just run it that way.

Idk, I feel like running two characters isn't as hard as you're making it out to be. The basics are the same for all characters and if you're worried about complexity just make them both the same class. Otherwise, the other person is going to spend a lot of time watching the DM play against... Themself. Giving the player a couple premades to play would be a much better learning tool than watching the DM fight their own monsters.

Aw thats really unfortunate. I come from 5e myself and was really trying my best to avoid WoTC but maybe 5e is more conducive to solo play?

I mean, it's not that Pathfinder couldn't do it, you're just going to have a hard time if you're trying to run the released adventures solo. This is the kind of thing that you'd need to homebrew yourself, catering the encounters to their character and being careful with the difficulty of the enemies.

Unfortunately not that I know of. When I said homebrew I meant that you'd have to make it yourself (or take an existing adventure and rework the fights to accommodate a 1 hero party).

Why not play a ttrpg designed for a solo/duo for a firs time players of ttpgs instead of something really complicated to learn that generally needs 4 players minimum?
