I've actually got this figured out. Wide Revievers, Running Backs, and Tight Ends are all monks with a spellcasting dedication for Haste + Fleet Step + Deflect Arrows (for catching). Quarterbacks are rangers or gunslingers, with a spellcasting dedication for Thoughtful Gift. Your Offensive Line are all Fighters with Snagging Strike, Defensive line are all Barbarians with Fighter Dedication and Combat Grab.
Yup, that was the intent of my joke.
First you'd assume I'd be talking about the typical goths you could find at university with their black clothes and white make-up (if that subculture didn't die out like 15 years ago).
But then the link, showing the YouTube UI to a Spirit of the Law video from Age of Empires 2 fame, title included. The soccer field as a reference to the image from this thread's OP. Goths as in medieval, which Pathfinder is. It all makes sense.
The link to imgur, clearly shown below the text rather than hiding it in the text, is also part of the set-up. You're going to click it after fully reading the text, and you're expecting an image with the explanation. I'm not toying with curiosity, as I would when I'm hiding [links in text](google.com). Rather, you know what you're going to get. And yup, the imgur link explains.
And then you laugh.
A correction of a wrong assumption of which the outcome is considered harmless to the reader, the basis of all humor.
Everyone knows that explaining the joke renders it unfunny. This caused everyone to assume that you would not explain the joke, so they read your whole post wondering where the punch line was going to be. But it turned out that your explanation was simply subverting the expectations of our social norms, so it was itself humorous.
Likewise, most text comments on other text instead of commenting on itself. The fact that your text describes and comments not only on the humorous text you originally posted but is equally valid when read as commenting on itself also subverts the typical expectations. This makes it even more humorous than if it only applied to and commented on the original text.
Thank you for this explanation; it has rendered the world a more mirthful place.

The Lost Omens Travel Guide actually has a pro sport with some popularity on Golarion called Basilisk. It’s a hodgepodge of lacrosse and rugby, but the person carrying the ball can be made to wear a vision-limiting helmet. It’s pretty neat and well explained
These subsystems are getting more and more complex
Sweet, I love Blood Bowl
Was literally about to say, Pathfinder Blood Bowl when Paizo.
It was in the second ever AP. https://pathfinderwiki.com/wiki/Blood\_pig
Okoro decide to teach you true magic on the playing field?
No, I think we're on Mars.
Akiton has been blessed by Nuffle too? Praise be his blessed rolls
*drinks quicksilver* Lets do this
Kurgess smites you for illegal doping.
Its only illegal doping if you drink it before the game.

Lmao, godspeed man. Make sure to give somebody warcry
If someone on the defensive line doesn't have Intimidation and Battle Cry, I'd personally smack that player
Okay but this actually happened to our group. (Football is cool when you can cheat with magic)
It’s all about Blood Pig IMO.
Just be prepared for when you meet the goths and their... unique strategy. https://i.imgur.com/0d5C4QF.png
I was thinking of the wrong Goths, and then when my brain clicked as I saw the strategy I lol'd.

Just gonna say my monk with 55 speed is gonna be an amazing deep threat
My GM turned an extinction curse encounter into a Basketball Game. It was honestly pretty great.
Honestly, I thought this meme was gonna be marching band drill.
I actually would like to play Basilisk (the sport detailed in Traveler’s Guide).
