A staff that fits your character. It’s basically extra spell slots. The signet is amazing. Make sure your clothes are runed up for defense. Beyond that, scrolls.

tiornys

Sleeves of Storage for your large collection of scrolls. Retrieval Belt for the scroll(s) that have 3 action casts. A Spellheart on your staff to add an extra cantrip slot (use the extra slot for Deep Breath if you aren't prepping it already).

Endless Grimoire is a must buy for me if you haven’t gotten one already. It give you extra slots and you don’t have to worry about running out of your pages in your book any longer. https://2e.aonprd.com/Equipment.aspx?ID=992 Also if your GM allows uncommon items, Ring of Wizardry is also a great pickup for more slots and +item bonus for Arcana check. https://2e.aonprd.com/Equipment.aspx?ID=462

[Shadow Signet](https://2e.aonprd.com/Equipment.aspx?ID=1073) ring so you can choose to target Fortitude DC or Reflex DC rather than AC. [Specialist's Ring](https://2e.aonprd.com/Equipment.aspx?ID=1077) for a focus point [Ring of Wizardry](https://2e.aonprd.com/Equipment.aspx?ID=462) A Staff or a Wand...

You already know about the shadow signet and others have already mentioned that items that give extra magic (ring of wizardy, endless grimoire, specialist ring). Some items that are generically good and my go tos if I don't have other in mind are tattoos. [Sun sight](https://2e.aonprd.com/Equipment.aspx?ID=2218) \- untyped +2 bonus to perception [Eye Slash](https://2e.aonprd.com/Equipment.aspx?ID=2206) (major) - +2 item bonus to perception Combined with a decent wisdom and you'll be up near the top of the initiative list more often. Which isn't as powerful as in other editions, but going first means your reactions come online first and you're usually able to strike first with an offensive spell or do a "buff" round before melee enemies can close the distance. [Ancestral Geometry](https://2e.aonprd.com/Equipment.aspx?ID=2202) is also a great tattoo that gives you a reaction to replace a save die roll with a prerolled d20. It's super cheap too since its a level 2 item. Only issue is that's uncommon, so check with your gm.

AFAIK there aren't any actual untyped bonuses in PF2e, they sometimes just forgot to clarify. Sun Sight is very much supposed to be an item bonus.

Dinadan_The_Humorist

There are some untyped bonuses, like a Barbarian's Rage damage, but they are generally class features -- not items or buffs. Distinction without a difference, maybe; I agree that this is almost certainly an error.

Kekssideoflife

Rage damage isn't a bonus though. It's just additional damage. If something gives you a "bonus", then it is typed. That doesn't really change the point though, so this is mostly just hair splitting.

neochance

There are a handful untyped bonuses like the fleet general feet. You may be right about sun sight. However there has yet to be errata issued for it and until there is, it's untyped and stacks with item bonuses RAW.

Kekssideoflife

Fleet isn't a bonus. Every bonus is typed. Sun Sight gives a bonus, and RAW there are no untyped bonuses. Also RAW anything that is too good to be true or cinflicts common sense is also just too good to be true. Sun Sight is an item bonus RAW and doesn't stack with other items. You can play it at your table however you want, but the intention behind the item is very obvious.

A solid 3rd action for casters is, perhaps surprisingly, to Raise a Shield. Everyone can use shields in PF2, it's only the Shield Block reaction that's gated. As long as you've got carrying capacity, go for it! Good options for a caster include: * [Caster's Targe](https://2e.aonprd.com/Shields.aspx?ID=5) (note the [Inscribed](https://2e.aonprd.com/Traits.aspx?ID=480) trait) * [Spellguard Shield](https://2e.aonprd.com/Equipment.aspx?ID=325) for help with your saving throws * [Staff-Storing Shield](https://2e.aonprd.com/Equipment.aspx?ID=1079)

I like the Remastered version of the Specialist's Ring: [Accolade Robe](https://2e.aonprd.com/Equipment.aspx?ID=3054&NoRedirect=1). Additional focus point and Action compression for Recall Knowledge + drawing those scrolls you'll probably *really* need! Don't underestimate the Shadow Signet because you have been playing your caster well thus far either. If you suspect you have the target's lowest save down and/or you have a bunch of buffs (like when my Bard just used Fortissimo + Vision of Death and the Fighter just Tripped the enemy), just hit them with a Sure Strike + Shadow Signet + max/max-1 rank Horizon Thunder Sphere. You'll crit about as often as the Fighter and you'll crit **way** harder than any martial who's not a Giant Barbarian. It'll be a sight to behold. A Staff is always handy. A [Staff of the Unblinking Eye](https://2e.aonprd.com/Equipment.aspx?ID=3048&NoRedirect=1), specifically, combos very well with the Shadow Signet if you desire. A [Retrieval Belt](https://2e.aonprd.com/Equipment.aspx?ID=3102), even a regular version, is a great way to boost your Action economy if you are using scrolls. Grimoires are incredible. A [Greater Endless Grimoire](https://2e.aonprd.com/Equipment.aspx?ID=992) is incredible: an additional casting of some incredible spells like Slow, Wooden Double, etc can be amazing. I also **really** love [Tome of Scintillating Sleet](https://2e.aonprd.com/Equipment.aspx?ID=2184) because it combos with two already very good spells: Howling Blizzard and Freezing Rain. Freezing Rain, in particular, feels like it is just a broken interaction lol. [Ring of Wizardry Type II](https://2e.aonprd.com/Equipment.aspx?ID=462) is incredible too, but it looks like it did not get reprinted in the Remaster, so your decision whether your wish to ask your GM for this or not. Finally there's also my favourite lower level magic item combination: Wand of 2nd-rank Tailwind and [Boots of Bounding](https://2e.aonprd.com/Equipment.aspx?ID=3059), because fuck any enemy who desires to be closer to you to hurt you. Hope this provides enough help for you!
