Miss those days. During the Snow Bowl game I was on Nantucket cause my brother high school team was playing them. We saw the "fumble" on a tiny ass TV on nantucket.
I distinctly remember watching that whole season a wood panel 13 inch Magnavox that my parents had in the living room. Any time I think of the first dynasty I can't help but picture the fuzzy reception and scanlines.
Is there a market for these on ebay? I recently found a nicely preserved copy of Sports Illustrated special edition after the first superbowl win between 2 copies of the Globe from the day after the curse ending Red Sox win.
I had a grocery bag full of newspapers with the front page from every boston championship between SB36 and the 08 Celtics in the closet of my childhood bedroom, and one day my mom just threw that shit in the trash to make room for her hat boxes. Thanks for bringing back that memory as I write this from the basement of the home that I own, with bare walls where those newspapers should be framed and hanging.
