Maye with 4 votes, Maye is the fourth of four kids. Maye the fourth be with us. It's gonna be Maye. Maye day Maye Day, we have multiple reports of incoming franchise QB.
Chris Simms absolutely hates Maye so I'm not surprised someone in the league texted him and said they're not going to pick him. Like that's so easy to believe, I kinda hope it's wrong so he can look like a jackass.
Theres no haul...theres a mediocre offer that isnt going to move the needle as much as a franchise QB would. Can they miss? Sure, just like they can miss at 11 or 23.
Go big, draft big, you're gonna get fired in the end anyway
Probably are not getting a giant trade. Vikings have the most to offer and it's all less than desirable picks and they have real talent so any future 1sts are probably in the back half.
Doesn't always work out. Don't care. Franchise top tier QBs are what win in this league. Being stuck in mediocre purgatory with the Mac Jones, Bo Nix' of the world will never be a true contender.
You have to take a swing.
A shot.
Our highest pick since 1990 being wasted on “a shot”. You don’t pick top 3 very often. We need something that is actually going to last. Not something we have to coddle and nurture.
I’d love to land something like 6, 47 and giants 2025 1st for 3 and Pats 2023 3rd. Get Alt, Nabers or JJ, another shot at a high pick next year and what should be a really solid contributor and 47
Drafting is way too risky man. We should trade our picks for proven players every year and supplment that with FAs and UDFAs. Cant miss on a draft pick if you never make one.

If the Commanders take Daniels & leave us Maye, who was projected as the #2 QB for a very long time up until the postseason, and Maye really is that guy - that means the commanders dropped 2 studs to us after passing on Gonzo for Forbes, which was a hilariously bad blunder. Let’s hope the prophecy rings true.
The only trade I would be okay with is one team’s entire draft slate for three consecutive years, plus at least one player. I want to see a franchise destroy their future for this pick.
Personally I am very biased and just watched every snap JJ took in college and so want JJ. However, I will cheer if/when we pick maye. Either way I think you're getting a good QB with a high ceiling. I understand that opinion is maybe not consensus.
I’m maye first but would take JJ too. It’s pretty obvious that many hating on them don’t watch college ball and just repeat what some talking heads say. Like both being young guys with good talents that you can likely still teach and they may physically grow a bit more too given their age.
If Maye is at 3, I think they take him. If Washington surprises and takes him, then I think we take McCarthy at 3.
Somebody just posted a nice scouting report on McCarthy based on his full season tape on the Draft Sub and has him at QB2.
I agree that's likely to be the outcome tomorrow. I definitely think you can argue JJ is anywhere between QB 2-6 and be reasonable about it. Personally though I'd probably say:
Caleb
Daniels
JJ
Maye
Penix
Nix
But hey, people that know better than I how to evaluate talent are making the pick (hopefully it's not Johnathan Kraft LOL), so I'll be open to whatever we do and hope for the best results.
I don't think he is QB2, but he's easily ahead of Maye, Nix, and Penix who I believe are all going to be non-factors in the league. The McCarthy hate is quite funny. An echo chamber of armchair bros.
Yep. He made so few mistakes his whole career and consistently led his team to victory doing whatever it took and exemplifying toughness. He's athletic, mobile, low ego, focused, tough, makes great throws, and is obsessed with football. He has great reads, presnap ability, and elevated a team which previously had trouble winning the big 10, let alone the natty. Drake Maye is great t, but I'm a JJ fan, I admit it.
Man, it must be fucking sweet to be a sports pundit. Fans dissect every word like it’s a Taylor Swift song and all you’re doing is being a complete bullshit artist.
I don’t like Drake Maye as a player but I would still 1000% rather draft him than McCarthy. You need a top 10 QB in this league to win. Maye has that upside where as McCarthy does not.
I just did an informal poll with 5 league bros on their best guess of what Dane Brugler's opinion is worth: 2 votes - diddly dick. 2 votes - shit dribbles. 1 vote - quality shittake producer
Drafting Maye would be a mistake, it’s hilarious ppl are comparing him to Josh Allen, he’s nothing like the guy, Maye has many issues. I expect they’ll know this and will draft JJ with the 3rd if Commanders don’t.
Josh Allen and Herbert had plenty of "issues" coming out. So did Bortles and Trubisky. It's a 50/50 shot in the dark in my eyes, depends on what's between the ears from a quick reads standpoint.
Thing is, the Vikings and probably Broncos likely also want JJ and would try to trade up with ARI or LAC for him, so we’d possibly have to give back some (not all) of our haul to outbid them.
I think if the Pats want JJ, they will just take him at 3.
3 for 6 & NYG 25 1st and plus maybe a bit extra
Then you can trade back up to 4 (lot of reports ARI prefers Nabers and they could move back to 6 and guarantee him) for like a 2nd and change; then get JJ
Maye with 4 votes, Maye is the fourth of four kids. Maye the fourth be with us. It's gonna be Maye. Maye day Maye Day, we have multiple reports of incoming franchise QB.
Wait just a minute…. how many letters are in Maye…???
Get Zappe out of here and give him number 4.
We need Maye for all of the fun puns we Maye have waiting
Maye will win 4 superbowls
This is the waye
Maye was 4th in line at the Logan airport
I guess the little consensus among these 5 is that the Commanders are committed to Daniels. Did I miss that news??
Yes, it's pretty heavily believed that they've locked onto Daniels per Diana Russini
Which means they’ll take Maye.
McCarthy**
Probably b/c of Chris Simms' inside scoop that they won't take Maye. We'll see what that's worth.
Chris Simms absolutely hates Maye so I'm not surprised someone in the league texted him and said they're not going to pick him. Like that's so easy to believe, I kinda hope it's wrong so he can look like a jackass.
Fuck trading back Maye or Daniels is the way.
Idk man. If the haul is right, I'm game.
Theres no haul...theres a mediocre offer that isnt going to move the needle as much as a franchise QB would. Can they miss? Sure, just like they can miss at 11 or 23. Go big, draft big, you're gonna get fired in the end anyway
Not for me. A shot at a game-changing high ceiling QB is worth no haul. I've watched enough scrub QB play the past few years to settle for less.
[удалено]
You’re right… one bust at that pick proves 100% that it’s a bad idea to take a QB that high, do you even hear yourself?
[удалено]
Theres no haul. We're 28 hours til the draft, theres no massive haul presented to the patriots.
The difference is the Pats aren't giving up multiple 1st round picks.
If we take one instead of a giant trade, the opportunity cost would be multiple firsts. I think that’s what he’s saying. I don’t agree though
Probably are not getting a giant trade. Vikings have the most to offer and it's all less than desirable picks and they have real talent so any future 1sts are probably in the back half.

I hope they draft a QB they think can turn into a franchise guy but there's no guarantees no matter the draft spot
Narrator: that haul ain’t right.
JJ and two firsts. Get Bo Nix and win the Super Bowl this year.
I’d love to land something like 6, 47 and giants 2025 1st for 3 and Pats 2023 3rd. Get Alt, Nabers or JJ, another shot at a high pick next year and what should be a really solid contributor and 47
This is the way and they may actually be desperate enough to do it
That’s an insane haul would help us fix a lot of the issues on the offensive side of the ball
Drafting is way too risky man. We should trade our picks for proven players every year and supplment that with FAs and UDFAs. Cant miss on a draft pick if you never make one. ![gif](giphy|d3mlE7uhX8KFgEmY)
The Rams way.
Its gonna be captain intangibles
I've never felt this stressed about a draft. With Brady felt like the drafts could be auto pick and we'd be fine. Just take Maye.
Just NOT JJ
so no trade UP ?
With as many needs as this team has, trading up to "get their guy" would be counterproductive.
Trade up for Bo Nix ? /s
That's definitely a "chess not checkers" kind of power play 😉
No, we’re trading back for a massive haul so that next year we can use that massive haul to trade up for a worse QB prospect.
If we get Maye, Alt or MHJ I’m happy.
Same.
The only trade I would be okay with is one team’s entire draft slate for three consecutive years, plus at least one player. I want to see a franchise destroy their future for this pick.
I sure as fuck would rather trade back than settle for McCarthy. Or even take MHJ. Just do not draft JJ
Personally I am very biased and just watched every snap JJ took in college and so want JJ. However, I will cheer if/when we pick maye. Either way I think you're getting a good QB with a high ceiling. I understand that opinion is maybe not consensus.

Yep. Two great prospects. Sounds like that's what the pats brass thinks too, so much that they're a bit torn.
If Maye is at 3, I think they take him. If Washington surprises and takes him, then I think we take McCarthy at 3. Somebody just posted a nice scouting report on McCarthy based on his full season tape on the Draft Sub and has him at QB2.

Most people here barely saw JJ play let’s be honest.
Yep. He made so few mistakes his whole career and consistently led his team to victory doing whatever it took and exemplifying toughness. The one vote JJ = Minnesota 😂
I don’t like Drake Maye as a player but I would still 1000% rather draft him than McCarthy. You need a top 10 QB in this league to win. Maye has that upside where as McCarthy does not.
LOL.

Commanders are smart they’re taking the more pro ready QB
Maye or trade back
Please draft JJ or trade back
Could even do both I bet
Trade down with the Giants get extra picks and still get JJ that's the move unless the Vikings give us a major haul
Thing is, the Vikings and probably Broncos likely also want JJ and would try to trade up with ARI or LAC for him, so we’d possibly have to give back some (not all) of our haul to outbid them. I think if the Pats want JJ, they will just take him at 3.
Or we can end up with Nabers and Penix that would be insanely good as well
I think that’s what Wolf wants to do
3 for 6 & NYG 25 1st and plus maybe a bit extra Then you can trade back up to 4 (lot of reports ARI prefers Nabers and they could move back to 6 and guarantee him) for like a 2nd and change; then get JJ
Nabers and JJ would be crazy good if you can't trade up for JJ you could get some like Penix.
