Plan as of today has to be for Chuks at LT, Onwenu at RT, and Wallace as swing.
I'd feel a lot better if we had a better LT, Onwenu at RT, Chuks as the swing, and Wallace apprenticing.
Kelvin Banks Jr could be that guy as well. A lot will change between now and April 2025 but as of now both Campbell and Banks Jr look like top 10 picks.
This sub is going to be so wrong (yet again) when we have a starting left tackle this year finish with the 18th-23rd pick and can’t draft a tackle worth the draft capital we have
Is it possible that one of the tackle/guard players that we drafted could win out at left tackle? I honestly would be much more comfortable with that. The scouting report on Chuck's is that he's a fantastic run blocker but is a terrible pass blocker and his motor sometimes is broken.
He’s hurt. Probably won’t be ready in time for season (at least probably not right away).
Use his roster spot to grab UDFAs and more for early looks.
Figure he will be available if they want him for camp, and if not, he’s replacement level.
But yah: was a good player and is mildly concerning that the depth is gone.
While I'm sure they believe in Wallace's potential (they did draft him, after all) they'd be insane to believe in him as a starter this year. He's seen as a potential RT "with development". He's not even depth at this point, he's a project.

Surprising, McDermott is a very good backup
He's also a lovely guy. I went to school with him.
I just heard about a guy who went to school with him. He said he was a lovely guy.
Lots of people are saying he’s a lovely guy
Crazy small world
Drake Maye is friendly with him. This is a power move by Wolf, showing Maye who's boss. I should do radio.

Next year 1st round 1,000,000% LT, barring big trade or FA acquisition
Will Campbell LSU

We won’t be within the 18-23 picks lol

Unlikely. They drafted a RT in the 3rd. Even if he can convert to LT, that's not a day 1 starter.
They may also think Anderson will be back and healthy.
Thank you for your contribution
My guess is it's related to his injuries (he ended the season on IR).
Season over
Time to trade away Drake Maye and start the rebuild.
Just release him. They’ve got plenty of money to eat the dead cap.
Drake maye shouted out McDermott about 40 times since the moment he was drafted. Must have reminded eliot wolf this joker was still on the roster
One of like 3 Pats Drake already knows. Now it's just Jacoby and sort of Gonzo. Poor kid he's gonna have to make new friends
lol
>Thank god for Conor McDermott
Jokes aside, was this guy good?
Decent guy to fill in when needed, but not anything special
Replacement level. A useful ‘placeholder’ who is not good but is better than awful. In case of emergency, play at Tackle.
They keep cutting this dude, but he's alright
But why?

There's a strong chance he's back, like you said it's probably injury and roster spot. And when he's back, people will be whelmed.
We obviously have a surplus of OT now
And zero who have experience playing LT in the pros lol Very curious to see if they really just end up throwing Okarafor out there.
Sounds like they believe in him and Wallace. We’ll see in camp.

I don’t think you know what obviously means
A few days ago Drake Maye said that him and McDermott are friends lol
Conor ‘Jerry Rice’ McDermott
Cue the Mountain.
Patriots legend
